Ms. Brenda Lee Smith

Brenda changed the lives of our family as a whole. She not only helped my adopted son with RAD she helped us as parents live healthier lives which in turn helped our son. She was always there in emergency situations and truly understands what RAD is and how to treat it. She is direct and to the point which is exactly what we needed. Thank you Brenda for saving us.

She claims to be a RADs specialist but she isn't. Be careful! Most of the positive criticism reviews are people she asked personally so they are biased.

Brenda is the best therapist we have ever worked with. In SIX MONTHS she has been able to accomplish what 4 or 5 therapists in SIX YEARS couldn't. She is remarkable. We truly feel she was our last hope for our son to heal. We took such a huge risk and many life changes to have our son in her care and we are so glad we did. Our situation is unique and very challenging and she has provided us with wise and experienced advice at every turn. We are so grateful to have found her.

When we Adopted our sons with RAD we had no idea where to turn to find help for our family, and then we met Brenda. She is an expert and her vast knowledge and compassion has made all of the difference. We had other therapist tell us one of our sons was too far gone and there wasn't much else to do for him. Brenda didn't see it that way, and after 4 years he has bonded with our family and is a loving, compassionate child. She is a wonderful woman and we are so thankful we found her to help us.

Our family has been going to Brenda for 4-1/2 years to help with our eldest son that has RAD. She has been very instrumental in helping us know how to reach him and not let his behavior effect our other children plus she has helped them too. Brenda has help him in so many ways to understand how to reach out to family and realize they will always be there for him. No other counselor has been able to reach him like she has. We have taken our daughter to Brenda Smith off and on for several years. She has been instrumental in any progress that has been made in our family. My daughter is a special case, having not only a diagnosis of "moderate/severe" RAD, but also a significant developmental disorder. I can honestly say Brenda saved our family. She saved our lives. We were in such a confused dark place with our daughter. We had gone to traditional therapists that didn't have any understanding of RAD or attachment issues specific to adopted children. She saved my marriage and helped us understand what was happening and not take things so personally. Brenda Smith guided our family through a VERY difficult season of adoption.
