Dr Collins is so amazing. He is attentive, his bedside manner is warm, and he seems to care about his craft aka artistry. I had several apprehensions and a list of questions and he addressed every question- TIMELY. Melissa is a gem and so is the rest of his staff. I was so heartbroken by my experience. No one listened to me about my body. And everything went wrong. Missed shaping breast. A lot and I mean a lot of scar tissue with pain. When I told him this I was just looked at as the overbearing black women. So I just kept quite and still am dealing with the pain. If you experience was great then god bless you. Cause mine wasn’t. Amazing surgeon! He did a flawless job with my reconstruction surgery. I’m only 3 days out but the incisions are seamless and perfect and I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon. Hands down he and Dr. Friedman are the top breast surgeons in Maryland. I’m so grateful and happy for them both.

Dr. Collins is the best plastic surgeon in MD. I was a 40 H. Shoulder and back pain. I went for my consult in Sept of 2018. My surgery was Nov 13th. I received a breast reduction and lift. And I love it. He took me from a 40 H to a 36 DD. I've been top heavy since my teens. It feels so good not having to pay 50 and 60 dollars for one bra. Now I can buy two for those prices. Excellent Doctor. I am very happy with DIEP-flap and follow up surgery. Dr. Collins truly cares about his patients and wants them to be happy with results. The outcome is far beyond what I was expecting. I am very thankful for his skill and talent. Highly recommend.

Dr. Brendan Collins is a wonderful talented and gifted dr. My experience with him and his staff was terrific. My story began 17 years ago when I had Prophylactic mastectomies and implants. I never felt good about the way I looked and just hated the breast area. Then the implants ruptured. I went to Mercy where I meant Dr. Collins and he recommended Diep Flap surgery. I did this 1 yr. ago and now I have regained my self esteem and feel wonderful. Ms. Pham who also works closely with Dr. Collins just did my 3D tattooing and I feel very blessed.

I had surgery in 2016 and now still having piercing stabbing pain that is located still in the same exact spot on the left side exactly at my incision where my drain was initially. The pain has NEVER gone away and it's 2019 now. I am a mother of 4, used to be vibrant and very active but now I have to live with incessant pain. I should not have to suffer like this. I also feel as though i was stereotyped due to residing in Baltimore during the onset of the opiate epidemic.. I did not receive help because the staff had preconceived notions...I could have been given some sort of physical therapy, referral, anything but nothing was done. I'm not sure what went wrong with the drain at my incision area but this pain is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. I've had severe pain since my surgery. I called the office to request an appt. and the receptionist accused me of trying to get narcotics from them. I asked if all pain medication is narcotic...During my visit I was very uncomfortable. I never even asked for any narcotic and didn't know what the difference in pain medicine was in the first place...just want my pain to go away and for him to tell me why I still have this level of pain over a year later. He could have recommended some sort of Physical therapy or something. When I lift anything over about 5 pounds, I end up bedridden for 1-2 days unable to walk without pain. It's embarrassing and time consuming. I've always been a very active person so this has caused depression. I don't feel comfortable returning there. Generally speaking, doctor's visits are already intrusive enough...I am seeking help with other physicians and surgeons at this time. Come to find out, I have neuropathy. Gabapentin was prescribed by another doctor and to my knowledge it is not a narcotic so I'm ok. I also have had a nerve block which helps. My post surgery care with Dr. Collins should have been better. I am very grateful for Dr. Collins and his staff. My reconstructive surgical experience at Mercy went amazingly well from start through recovery. Patient care is exemplary, I always felt I was in good hands.

Dr. Collins and his team did a wonderful job with my surgery . He explained everything clearly and was very precise about his work and professional. I was somewhat afraid of pain and scarring with the procedure, but have found both to be minimal. I'm very happy with the results.

I met Dr. Collins one week after my diagnosis of breast cancer to discuss my options for breast reconstruction following my decision to have a double mastectomy. He described the procedures, their risks, benefits, and outcomes, and put me at ease. We agreed on a clear plan. He began my breast reconstruction at the same time as my double mastectomy. Once my breast surgeon removed my breasts, Dr. Collins placed tissue expanders under my chest muscles on each side, and injected saline into them at regular intervals over a period of time to create enough space for the implants. After twelve weeks, he removed the tissue expanders, and replaced them with silicone implants. I received exceptional care from beginning to end in his competent hands. He is not only an extraordinarily talented and gifted plastic surgeon, but he is also a supportive, caring and compassionate physician. He and his welcoming and dedicated medical and office staff made this frightening and challenging period not just endurable, but pleasant. The outcome has been beautiful. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Collins to any patient who chooses to have breast reconstruction surgery. He is the best. I can share no negatives and only give him the highest of praise for his surgical talents, attentive followup and always sensitive support throughout my reconstructive breast surgery journey. He is all that one would hope for in a doctor especially for a cancer related, clearly catastrophic life event. Do not even hesitate to place yourself in his talented and caring hands.
