About Brian J Blocher
Reviews for Brian J Blocher
My son was in a car accident that left his gum line fractured, I was so nervous to take my son because of the reviews. But let me say the reviews are false. Dr Blocher was able to push my sons teeth back into place, he was kind, and efficient. We were out of the office in less than an hour. He explained everything to my son and my son said he can tell that Dr. Blocher cares about his patients. We had a great experience and will be returning. Don’t believe the negative reviews, this man is nothing like those reviews suggest.
Worst experience ever. I got a tooth removed and it was the most painful I ever experienced at a dentist. He came in asked which tooth was bothering me I let him know he put numbing gel on my gum and did something with the needle and left out. Came back a couple minutes and ask was it tingling I said no. He said it suppose to tingle when itâs numb well it wasnât even numb I go to my regular dentist and I know what numb is like. Anyway he start to extract the tooth nothing but pain I tell him it hurts he just start having a conversation with his assistant and keep pulling. At this point Iâm holding on the chair tight and lifting my waist because itâs that painful. He then got the nerve to say itâs just the pressure when I said it hurts the second time. I know pressure vs pain. Im telling you he did not numb it right because you will know if itâs numb when you canât feel one side of your face and lip and that was not the case. I would not recommend this Dentist at all. Runnnnn!!!!!
I had my tori removed from inside all around lower gum and they were big. Dr. Blocher had the job done in No time. He did a Great job . Very painful after surgery but that was to be expected. The doctor and staff were soo busy. Alot of clients and I donât think the doctor or any staff even got a break, but the Doctor and all the Staff were very friendly and answered any questions you had. The receptionist answering the phone is always polite and friendly when I call there. I would recommend them to friends.??
Nothing but a Tasteless and Hostile Experience!!!! When we arrived to the appointment, they told us the wrong address we were in Mayfair RD instead. The receptionist told us that we were in the wrong address that the doctor moved six months ago and that she called the actual office and the manager in the office had an attitude, boy was she not wrong. We arrived to the office and the person in the front Melissa was extremely rude. From the beginning she had an attitude when we told her that we were in the wrong office. She first bluntly asked for ID and insurance. My sister explained to her that the when she called they said she can bring the member group number since her card was on the mail because it was lost. “she explained she didn’t have her card” the lady totally disregarded what my sister said without the card we can’t treat you. My sister said she doesn’t have the card when she called yesterday they told her to bring this information in. Melissa said they already have the information. First off if you have the information why do you even need the card? Anyways, she said “we need your social security card or your card” my sister for the third time told her the card was coming in the mail. Melissa said you are talking over me let me talk very rudely. To this point I’m completely shocked this employee is working with patients she has no sense of compassion. She went to the back and asked another person about the card and social security card and the person in the back said we can’t treat if we don’t have that we need it. We mentioned to Melissa the receptionist that we can have our Mom bring the card she proceeded and said “Don’t have that woman come in here” we were shocked!!! Excuse me? Are you talking about our Mom??? She said have her email us a picture, we left it at that. My sister mentioned to this individual she doesn’t have to be rude and disrespectful we treat people with kindness and respect. I’m honestly in shock people like this work here. It’s like she is trying to push my sister away and cancel her appointment. How does this office make money??? You literally are trying to cancel her appointment at all cost. I feel bad for the Doctor that works at this office, Dr Brian I’m sure he is trying his best to take care of patients and do his best and people that work here like Melissa are tarnishing his reputation. The actual people that did the procedure were honestly nice. The receptionist needs a change Nothing but a Tasteless and Hostile Experience!!!! Dr blocher as well nice and was just quick to it. Took no longer than legit 5 minutes tops. I was nervous cause the reviews as well but I’m putting it out there, very good service. I changed my review on this doctor blocher because he is actually one of the best oral surgeons super quick and painless. He gets the job done within 5 minutes I got 2 teeth pulled and no problems after that.
don't believe all the negative reviews! Dr blocher and his staff are friendly. i was numbed waited about 15 minutes dr blocher returned and removed my wisdom tooth in all of 2 minutes time. would highly recommend
Had 4 wisdom teeth taken out, made the mistake of reading the reviews the day before my apt so was pretty nervous but everything went perfect. The girl at the front desk was really sweet, the assistant was informative and nice, and Dr. Blocher was very nice and professional. He put the numbing needle in my mouth waiting about 10 mins. I didn’t feel anything the whole procedure only pressure sometimes and the noise was scary. (I recommend bringing AirPods if it’s allowed) It took less than 20 minutes to get all 4 of them out. Day 1 was the most painful for me but after i took ibuprofen I was good. By day 3 i had virtually no pain, just discomfort.. Day 4 no pain at all and the swollen went down. No dry socket, no infections. Didn't even need pain meds after the 3rd day. Dr. Blocher was verbally nice, but that's where the care stopped. He injected the anesthetic like he was killing his prey. Very fast in and out, in and out, and some so fast and deep that he hit a nerve or even bone if that's even possible, but that's what it felt like. When the procedure began, it was so painful because I was not given anesthetic in all the right places. He had to give me more anesthetic at that point. When he started drilling, he hit some point where it jolted me and I jumped. I was not given sunglasses and the light was so bright I had to squeeze my eyes shut. I was gripping the seat so hard and had my legs bent upwards because I was so scared. The back of my neck hurt really bad from clenching my neck muscles from fear of something going horribly wrong. Materials were put on my chest that they would be using during the procedure and tubing from the drill laid across my face during the procedure. 5 minutes after and I'm in pain. I would not recommend Dr. Blocher.

Really really unprofeccional doctor, really rude as well. I dont recommend you to go there.
This place was ridiculous! Wayyyyyy over crowded waiting room! Definitely not for those social distancing! No mask required. Dentist came in my room without mask! Ewww. Rushed and didn’t care that recommendation of follow up care which included medication that could cause me a medical emergency. Way over booked, apt at 8:30 took til 10 to even be seen. Doctor Blocher is great and helped to minimize my fears. He has a good bedside manner, but he definitely works too hard. There should be another Expert Oral Surgeon (or two) working full-time along Doctor Blocher's side. There's too many of us folks who have emergency dental-care needs.
I’ve tried calling the number listed. All it says is “your call can not be completed” This is very unprofessional. It has been saying this for the past 2 weeks. I also called the dental office that sent my referral to this place. The only thing they could tell me was “You have to keep calling. We have a hard time getting through as well”. I saw Dr. Blocher for a tooth extraction with laughing gas-my experience was beyond amazing, his assistant was very informative and also very calming. The doctor himself did an excellent job and reassuring me that he would take good care of me, very reassuring and patient -the tooth was out in no time with no pain at all, and also recovery was just as easy. DO NOT GO HERE!! If I had an option, there would be no stars. I went in to get all of my Wisdom teeth extracted and it was one of the worst experiences in my life. When I was being treated, The doctor gave me the numbing gel and without giving it more than 10 seconds he stuck me with the four needles. During that process I did tear up and shake, breathing through the pain which caused the doctor to get slightly irritated. After a few minutes had passed the assistant came in and asked if the numbing agent had kicked in yet and I had explained how on my left side it didn't even feel numb enough to get a filling, and she said it shouldn't be an issue and she'd tell the doctor. When the doctor came in shorty after to ask about the numbness, I told him the same thing as I told the assistant, and he gave me another shot on my left side. Within 30 seconds of giving me that shot, he had started the process of the extractions on my left side, which I could completely feel. Again I started tearing up, saying Ow, slightly shifting away from the doctor, normal reactions to pain and the doctor became extremely annoyed. After removing my upper left wisdom tooth, he momentarily stopped the procedure to address it, saying I was making it harder on him and myself and that it wasn't that bad. He told me he doesn't deal well with people who act like he hurts them and if I was going to continue acting this way I might as well go home with my other wisdom teeth but it was up to me. As he continued the surgery I attempted to fight against the urge to react to the pain but I continued to cry the entire time and exclaim when I had to.The only thing given to me at that point was a stress ball and the constant reminder to breath through it. After removing the lower left tooth, he had stopped again and told me that i was so and so years old and I shouldnt be acting the way I was, saying how I was making his job harder. When it came to the bottom Left and right wisdom teeth, he had also cut the insides of my cheeks with the drill tool. It seems like he focuses a lot more on the speed of removal rather than the comfort of the patient, and getting the job done properly. *UPDATE* Now roughly a month and a week or two after the procedure, two bone shards came out of my cheek and it feels like more will follow. Still an open hole in the bottom right gum line, and the lower right jawline still experiencing some numbness and tingling feeling. Being seen by my physician about a possible infection caused by the surgery as well. DO NOT GO HERE!! If I had an option, there would be no stars. Reviews had me scared. However the doctor was pleasant, unlike the reviews. I got 4 wisdom teeth pulled and two extra teeth. 6 total all at once. I got the iv sedation & laughing gas for $300, honestly it didn't work for me. I was 100% fully aware the entire time. save your money! he'll numb you well. A week later I'm sure I have some type of infection & since he pulled the teeth he has to be the one to look at them if I'm having issues. Drove over a hr to come in for a walk in like his assistants told me to do, just to get turned around because the doctor had an "emergency ". I'm in a lot of pain associated with what feels like an ear infection. He can pull your teeth out but god forbid you have complications which most patients do especially with impacted wisdom teeth. This is the second child I have had that got their wisdom teeth out. Excellent job by the nurses and dentist. I will say though that the guy receptionist that you had, I would not want to have as the first point of contact if it were my office. Hospitable team, efficient procedures, and good feedback/communication from Dr. Blocher. Also, dealt well with a customer who was agitated and a couple who were impolite that i could not avoid observing. Who isnt cranky when their getting their tooth out?
This was the best dental visit ever. As an elderly woman who is afraid of a visit to a dentist I had three extractions he patiently waited until I told him it was numb enough. I never even knew when he pulled the teeth out! Would recommend him to anyone!
I was a little nervous because of some of the negative reviews despite having a long dental history (unfortunately) and have undergone root canals, fillings, and got a molar removed in middle school. I think it’s all in peoples head, as it’s actually a way easier process any time you get dental work done if you relax. However I witnessed how RUDE some people can be walking into his office. Have your ID and insurance card on you, if someone has to tell you that, I don’t know who raised you. The staff and Dr. Blocher were extremely nice to me. They answered any questions I had, but I kept it short because I know how busy they are. It only took Dr. Blocher less that 30 seconds to remove two of my wisdom teeth. I was supposed to originally get three removed but he gave me the recommendation to wait for my bottom tooth under the gum, because of where I am in my pregnancy. He was very knowledgeable and considerate of me as a patient. Remember this is the Dental surgeon, not Disney world. The shots in my mouth were a little sharp, but every dentist I’ve seen in my life the shots felt the exact same way. Treat people kindly, and you will be treated kindly. I thank this Dentist for providing me with great care on state insurance. He doesn’t deserve the bad reputation. I’m a 21 year old mom of three. If I could do this, you can too. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT GO HERE! I paid $300 for the sedation instead of the laughing gas which would of only been $80. They told me I would be in and out of consciousness. I went to this office to get an impacted wisdom tooth pulled. The doctor was very kind and soft spoken. While I was in his back room his receptionists were out there screaming like children. I call after hours and I got the doctor and told him I was still experiencing pain and had a fowl taste in my mouth and he said he would prescribe me more 600 ibuprofen for the pain. And to call back in the morning so it could be added to my chart. I called back and the woman was the most rudest woman I had ever spoke to ever and I called at 10:00 in the morning. Finally at 4:00 p.m. I called his office back because it'was not called in and I talked to a different person, it was called in right away. Worst experience medically of my life. Doctor was raising his voice and extremely belittling for having questions and concerns. I started having a panic attack and stated I was and was even ruder and telling me he couldn't deal with me and to get a hold of myself. I had 3 wisdom teeth removed and one molar next to the wisdom tooth removed, which was 4 out of the 5 teeth that i was initially supposed to have removed. It was a very traumatic experience for me. I was given the laughing gas, which had no effect at all on me, I'm not even sure if anything besides cold air was actually coming out of the machine. He and his assistant told my husband he had to leave the room, they wouldnt allow him to stay back there with me. The doctor put very little numbing gel in my mouth before giving the wort injections I've ever gotten!!! I was in tears and squirming from the pain of the numbing shots. I stated that it was way worse than labor and i have given birth to 3 children with no pain meds! Dr. Blocher laughed and he went on to say if i feel any pain throughout the procedure that all i had to do was raise my hand and he would stop the procedure. Well, when he started, i immediately raised my hand when i felt the pressure. I was told by Dr. Blocher to put my hand down because I did not feel anything. I cried the entire procedure and i was in such trauma that i did not let him pull the last tooth. I was ready to get out of his office immediately. I don't believe he had anything against me personally, but he was not very comforting and told me several times that i am a grown woman, not a baby. I just feel he could have been a little more understanding and patient with me. I accidentally knocked one of his tools out of his hand while trying to raise my hand to get him to stop. He acted as if i did it on purpose and stated that he did not deserve that. I don't feel i deserved to be treated that harshly either, I'm a good person and i will never return there for services again. I am writing this 9 days after the extraction, i have a dry socket that has turned into an abscess, i am in excruciating pain and have not slept in days. when i went back for a follow up he just rinsed the extraction site and told me i had a dry socket and sent me packing. I have been going to the emergency room every other day for pain meds and antibiotics. My sister had the same procedure done two weeks before me with a different oral surgeon and she was given antibiotics and a special mouth wash to prevent infection and she had no complications. The Worst dental experience I have ever encountered in my life. I went in to get my tooth pulled for the first time, Dr. Blocher came in and gave me the numbing agent, and instead of waiting for it to kick in to give me my novacane shot, he immediately gave me my shot and I could feel all of it. He only had gave me one shot of novacane, and when I had gone into another dental office, they gave me 2 shots just for a cavity filling. Once he started I could feel everything and was easily the most pain I’ve ever experienced. I was noticeably in a great deal of pain and was even yelling, this is when Dr. Blocher said it was my fault and I needed to quiet down. He was extremely rude and obviously didn’t have any care for how much pain I was in. Like another reviewer, I was wary of coming here after reading the many negative experiences others have left. I had a wisdom tooth removed last week and the procedure itself was quick and I felt no pain. Although I did feel sensation (no pain) when he must've been either pushing down or cutting the gums around the tooth to be extracted, since mine was horizontally impacted. The surgeon's assistant/nurse did let me know I'd feel pressure during the procedure. She also answered other questions I had while we waited for the Dr. to return. She was kind enough to turn up the Nitrous when I asked her to, as I was very anxious and it wasn't achieving enough of a calming effect for me personally. Dr. Blocher came in and introduced himself and quickly administered the shots of local anesthetic, which I barely felt. He was amiable, but since he does have a lot of patients, didn't linger around to socialize, which was understandable. After a few minutes waiting for the anesthetic to take effect, Dr. Blocher returned. They put a mouth prop in my mouth to help hold it open, which wasn't uncomfortable or bothersome. He immediately commenced the procedure. There was a bit of drilling and pulling of the tooth to get it removed, since it had to be cut in two pieces. I was allowed to wear my headphones during the procedure which I think helped me a lot. In addition, the Nitrous (which I thankfully opted for at the last minute) was another source of succor, as well as shutting my eyes. They would periodically adjust my head when needed. After listening to a few songs, and before I knew it, they were letting me know it was done and sitting me up in the chair. The area he was operating on was near a nerve that if damaged or bruised could've resulted in a tingling sensation in my mouth or tongue, or also loss of feeling, etc., and thankfully I have retained all sensation in my mouth. The nurse went over aftercare instructions with me and provided a sheet with them, as well as extra packets of gauze. She also escorted me downstairs to the pharmacy where I could pick up my prescription. The receptionist and other staff I encountered were also cordial. Any time I've called there to speak with someone, they've been pleasant and answered any questions. Yes, there have been a handful of times where I've had to call repeatedly due to a busy signal, but they are a busy practice. Some advice to others who also suffer from any form of anxiety issues to do with dentistry/surgery when coming in for a procedure - bring headphones with you, so you can listen to something you enjoy. It will help distract you from the sounds and situation. If you can't afford general anesthesia, or are uncomfortable with it, opt for the Nitrous. It will give you another way to help reduce your discomfort. One caveat I wanted to mention. Since the office is on the smaller side, as well as their waiting room, there wasn't really enough room in there to properly social distance, and there were too many patients waiting in the room at once for me to feel comfortable being in there. Maybe if they were able to set some chairs outside in the walkway and only allow a certain number of people in the waiting room at a time, it would be a little safer. Update: It's now been five months since my wisdom tooth removal and I've had no problems. I healed well and my mouth feels the same as before. After reading some of the reviews I was very nervous to get my 4 wisdom teeth taken out. When I sat in the chair I was very nervous. I was put on laughing gas for the procedure which I would recommend. The dental assistant was very nice and made sure I was comfortable and all times and made conversation. Dr. Blocher came in and was very nice as well didn’t talk an entire lot which was nice so I didn’t have to be in the chair any longer. He did make sure I was comfortable and walked me through what was going on. It took maybe 10 minuets for all 4 teeth and suture which was impressive 10/10 After reading some of the reviews I was very nervous to get my 4 wisdom teeth taken out. I had a tooth pulled this morning. Dr Blocher was very kind as were the staff. I chose not to have nitrous and glad I didn't. I will return if I need other work done.
I had a tooth pulled earlier today. Dr Blocher was very kind. Answered all of my questions before surgery. Every staff member was courteous and friendly. I'm usually pretty nervous about dental work but the doctor and staff were helpful and kind.
Worst dental experience of my life! I paid for nitrous & did not get it. I explained it wasn't working. He dismissed me many times, was outright rude, asked what I wanted him to do about it, walked out at least twice & said he wouldn't be doing the procedure that day. This was all in response to me telling him that the nitrous was not working. He & the assistant even told me it's my fault that it's not working....that I'm too anxious. They told me I'm making it worse because I'm upset. He put numbing gel on my gums & did not wait even 5 seconds before stabbing me about 10 times with the needle. So basically no nitrous & no numbing gel. I cried profusely during the whole procedure. I told him it hurt & I could feel him pulling out the tooth. He told me it's just pressure & would not stop or numb it up more. I KNOW the difference between pain & pressure. I think he was mad because I actually spoke up. I have NEVER experienced such a rude, unprofessional, MEAN, dentist.
Three word not worth it
Worst place to ever go too
Incredibly unprofessional and rude reception staff who used indignant and offensive language.
I have now called 2 days in a row and every time I call it just gives me a busy signal. So how am I supposed to make an appointment if I can’t get ahold of anybody?? Please can someone help me and let me know how I can get ahold of them without driving all the way there just to schedule an appointment! Thank you
I got oral surgery and got my wisdom teeth pulled this surgeon is the worst never go to him ever he’s disrespectful rude and has no patience what so ever. He’s old and wack
Just downright wretched people that work there. Doctor is cheap and skimpy on numbing agent, is hostile and mean and apparently encourages his reception and assistants to treat people like dollar signs. Its numb and yank operation to just collect on state insurance with the least effort in the least amount of time. If you have other options, do yourself a favor and avoid the infection you'll get from less than hygienic equipment and the lack of prescribed antibiotics. I absolutely love the care I've received from Dr Blocher! But dear lord! The front desk attendant was so incredibly rude and mean to people, including myself. It put me off so badly I'm thinking twice about returning. I told her that a certain day didnt work for me and she just snapped at me "well that's what I have so I dont know what you want me to tell you, do you want it or not?" It was a normal interaction and she just snapped. And she was more worried about texting someone on her phone than the customer right in front of her. Skilled surgeon or not, nothing is worth being treated like that. I just can't believe someone like that actually still has their job. Incredibly unprofessional reception staff. I had been a patient for four years and have had many, many teeth extracted here. They successfully extracted teeth but staff is very rude. The doctor is great and talented, but getting to the point where you can actually see him is a nightmare. The reception staff talks down to people and while the doctor was on vacation straight up refused to be bothered to answer the phone or even schedule an appointment for a day the doctor was there, while he was away. So when the doctor isnt there to supervise, the reception staff decided that it was a free pass to text and watch movies all day and when a customer comes in because they werent answering the phone, and asks politely if they can make an appointment for when the doctor is back from vacation and the receptionist barked "No" at us as if we were bothering her. When we tried to figure out why and explain that we werent trying to make an appointment for a date that he was gone, but a future date when he came back the receptionist became hostile, saying that we couldn't make an appointment because the doctor was on vacation. And as soon as we told her that she was being very rude to us, she blacklisted us and came up with this wild story about how we had been out of control and essentially banned us from the doctor we had been seeing the last 3 years so she could get back to playing on tinder and so that we couldnt complain about her behavior to anyone else. I'm in shock that a doctor who is so nice and caring, would employ such nasty people and now my wife has had to have several teeth pulled because this was the one oral surgeon that accepted medicaid. She single handedly destroyed the health and well being of an individual just for trying to make an appointment because she was in immense pain and needed an appointment as soon as possible. Every receptionist there has been rude, nasty, and in several cases have swore at customers in our presence. Dr Blocher is in desperate need of a new staff that better reflect his professionalism and skill. If he would like to reach out to us and fix this matter by removing that absolutely absurd comment in my wife's chart and continue to see someone he has seen for 3 years and who we've had many great experiences with, I'd be happy to change this rating. But until that day, the staff there is absolutely vile and good luck to anyone trying to see a good endodontist that takes medicaid, you'll need to to even get an appointment The doctor is great and talented, but getting to the point where you can actually see him is a nightmare. Had my wisdom teeth out a few days ago. I didn’t get back there until an hour or so after my appointment. The assistant that was in the room with me was super nice & extremely helpful. I don’t like needles & can faint, I warned her just in case. When we were on my last numbing I told Dr Blocher I feel faint & he said it was from the numbing. However, I ended up fainting. The assistant stayed with me the whole time & kept Getting cold paper towels to put on my forehead. After I woke back up & he got to pulling my teeth, he hit my tongue with something & it really hurt. He seemed to get a little irritated when I said ow. Really great experience with him. I was in and out in 30 mins NO PAIN AT ALL WAT SO EVER..
I got my wisdom teeth removed from him and going back to get more if I need it to be pulled
Visit went really well. Had two impacted wisdoms removed today. They were stubborn and didn’t want to come out but I didn’t feel a thing. Dr Blocher is very busy, so don’t expect long winded conversations. He will answer any questions though. He and his staff treated me well, not sure where the bad reviews come from.
They got me in very quickly for an impacted and abscessed wisdom tooth. I was terrified as I hate dental appointments in general, but the procedure was extremely quick. The longest part was waiting for the numbing to set in. Everyone was kind and professional, from the front desk staff, to the tech, the Doctor himself.

I read the reviews before I went and that was a mistake because it only made me nervous. The whole staff was very kind, even getting me in early because my wisdom teeth were causing a lot of pain. I waited 10 minutes before Dr. Blocher came in and accessed the situation. He was very nice, introduced himself, asked me questions then waited until the laughing gas (which was only $80 extra) set in to numb my mouth with shots. He asked me questions about myself while doing the shots to distract from the pinching and it was over quick. Once again he left and waited until my mouth was fully numb then came back and got to work. They let me listen to music with my headphones while they were working but still let me know what was going on. I didn’t feel a thing, it was really quick! I was surprised because my wisdom teeth were impacted and against my jawbone, one was infected so I expected pain but I didn’t feel a thing and I was out in 20 minutes. They gave me instructions for homecare, Tylenol-Codine, a toothbrush, toothpaste and the dental tech even walked me and my mom down to the parking lot. Very nice, very helpful! Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. Give them a break, he’s one of the only oral surgeons who accepts Medicaid and that’s because he chooses to. They all have long hours and have to deal with so many people. I was polite and I received polite service back. My daughter had an underlying medical condition that could cause excess pain on nerves Oral Surgen Dr Blocher to remove 4 wisdom teeth he gave her Tylenol 3 which would be normal for most people at work for her IT DID NOT I called them and talk to them and they refused to do anything the 1st time at all and told me to call her a primary physician and primary dentist. I called the primary physician her regular N.P. was out and the one on duty said call that dentist back they should be handling this. Then I re-called oral surgeon doctor back about this I did I got told I'd have to drive to Milwaukee because they can not send that medication to pharmacy. Which WAS A LIE!! Previous to her surgery she was on 1 medication and that medication was sent directly to the pharmacy from her primary physician's office so she wouldn't lose more weight and good keep eating as she is on nutritional supplements because she is losing weight they then told me to call Oral Surgeon Dr. Blochers office back. So now they are playing frogger with her. I did just that and got the run around about driving down to Milwaukee which is an hour ride there an hour ride back and I just had a lumbar injection I cannot drive this week anymore then she told me basically to find anybody that will drive my daughter down to them to pick it up and sign for the prescription when all they had to do was email it or fax it to her pharmacy and she tried telling me and lied to me and said it couldn't be done that way it can so remember when you're talking to your doctor check with your pharmacy on the legality of certain medications being able to be send to the pharmacy directly because this drug was the exact same drugs she was on previous to the surgery so she could eat and it was sent directly to her pharmacy So I would not suggest going to see him I know it's hard if you have MA and you need a place to go because there isn't a lot of dentists out there but gel so I had to wait 2 months to get in and get these pulled which people in prison state prison get theirs pulled out sooner so if you have to wait for a doctor like that prisoners are getting treated better than our own children. So they couldn’t help me. Then I call them back and they said call my primary doctor. I call them and they say they can’t perform oral care only prescribe antibiotics and told me to get in a dentist. I had 2 bottom and 1 upper tooth pulled. Dr Blocher didn’t let the numbing gel take effect before he gave me my shots and they were the most painful shots I’d ever received. I even started to cry. Then he goes and pulls the upper tooth and even though I expressed I was in pain he said I shouldn’t feel anything. I proceeded to have a panic atack and cry when he left the room for a little while. The bottom teeth were worse, I knew from having prior work done on one of them that it takes a long time to fully numb it up. My last dentist took over a half hour and numbing that whole side of my mouth before it was finally pain free. He said since I couldn’t feel the needle from more shots that I’m not in any pain and to just let him get on with the procedure. He just kept saying “I’m not here to hurt you”, like that made it any better. I was still in pain, crying and yelling as he was extracting my bottom teeth. Thank god my husband was there to hold my hand the whole way. I would 100% rather go through labor and delivery again before I let him take anymore of my teeth out. Get ready for a long ride! The clinic is always packed! that's the reason for the phone always getting the dial tone, just keep trying! I drove down from Sturgeon Bay to see Dr.Blocher, and it was worth it! I was very nervous for my appointment to have four teeth extracted earlier this week after reading the mixed reviews on here. However, my experience with Dr.Blocher was absolutely fantastic! Some reviews on here state he was angry or forceful with injections/didn't provide aftercare...well in my case I was provided with a full little kit including special toothpaste and a toothbrush! The assistant was very nice and answered all of my questions (I was extremely nervous so it was a lot of Irrational fears). The only pain I experienced was with the roof of my mouth injections, that can't really be helped though, it's a tough spot to get into. I was only there for an hour and a half, most of it was in the waiting room (he is very good at what he does so it was packed there, even at 7 am!) Then it was about 15 minutes of breathing in gas while he saw to other patients, and 10 minutes to do the whole extraction. His assistant (like stated earlier) was very nice and explained aftercare while I was waiting on Dr.Blocher, which was good because the gas doped me up a little! I can't account for any one else's experience but I'm generally a VERY anxious person and Dr.Blocher is a very soft-spoken person, he didn't exchange many words, only when I would unintentionally tilt my head the wrong way would he say very quietly and nicely "turn this way please" I didn't really get this "Evil Doctor" other reviews like to portray him as, he was just very quiet and good at what he did. Not rude at all! Just a quiet guy that knows what he's doing. :) Get ready for a long ride!
