Not what I expected, I went to the dr office to remove some moles, he decided not to remove the one I was more concerned about, I guess he didn't want to work that day. He removed couple of moles (that I would have remove myself at home with home remedies) and then on top of that he sent them for a lab analysis, which of course after sometime a bill will appear in your mail where you are responsible to pay for. I usually don’t write reviews but Dr. Katz is by far the best dermatologist I’ve been to. I’m in the sun all day and need to see a dermatologist at least twice a year. Dr. Katz patiently checks you on each visit, has great bedside manner, and has a high level of expertise regarding all kinds of skin issues. Haven’t found this level of professionalism with other doctors. My wife was worried about visiting a doctor during the pandemic but his team is being so careful, which is also unlike other doctors we’ve had to see this past year. Not what I expected, I went to the dr office to remove some moles, he decided not to remove the one I was went for, I guess he didn't want to work that day. He removed couple of moles (that I would have remove myself at home with home remedies) and then on top of that he sent them for a lab analysis, which of course after sometime a bill will appear in your mail where you are responsible to pay for. Incredible. He’s been my derm for years. I am prone to keloids and not once have I gotten keloids from his work because he’s just that good. Also, if you’re a young woman who wants to have preventative NATURAL fillers, this doctor is it! Staff is super nice and office very updated.

Now that you’re reading reviews for Dr. Katz you won’t need to go any further to find your dermatologist. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I was referred to Dr Katz by my pcp and had my first appointment in August of 2017. My first surprise came as I was actually seen at my appointment time. He was thorough and kind, and his entire staff made me feel comfortable. Several biopsies were done. One came back positive for basal cell which was quickly taken care of with Moh’s surgery performed by his partner. Since then I have been seen by Dr. Katz every three months as several other issues were found. Today I got the first 6 month clearance. Surprisingly I found myself almost sad not to see these wonderful people for half a year. Here’s the thing: we are all either uncomfortable or downright scared when we deal with issues with our skin and possibilities of cancer. I knew his credentials, reputation and practice were impeccable. I do my research. But what I didn’t know is that Dr. Katz (and his amazing staff) could create the feeling of safety in such a potentially emotionally charged situation. He has the bedside manner of a caring father and the sense of humor of a favorite little brother. We all know in this modern day of factory line medicine that finding a doctor who cares is a rarity. I have been going to see Dr. Katz for many years, as i have continual recurring skin issues from sun exposure years ago. Dr. Katz is a far drive from my home in Broward, but well worth it. His staff is excellent, friendly, professional (without being dull), courteous, and i rarely wait in his waiting room. I have gotten to know Dr. Katz pretty well over the years and he is a great guy and does professional work. I recommend him all the time and discovered a few years ago a friend of mine also sees Dr. Katz and loves him. i wish my skin conditions would magically disappear and i would never have to see him again, but since that isn't happening, at least when i see him, he is always professional and in a great mood. I have been going here for years and Dr. Katz and his charming staff are EXTREMELY thorough and careful from a skin cancer screening perspective and have handled any skin care issues quickly and easily. The office is the best run office in Miami and they are extremely prompt and respectful of your time. Today I was taken in for my 9 am appointment before 9 and Dr. Katz walked into the exam room and greeted me warmly (as usual) at 9 on the dot. Amazing!

We first learned of Dr. Katz after my husband had a melanoma removed. At our follow up appt. with the oncologist we asked who he would send his family to after having melanoma. He told us no one compares to Brian Katz. So we have now been patients for 7 years. We are a family of 4 (2 kids who love him) & now my parents are patients as well even though they live out of state. Dr. Katz is knowledgeable, kind and very attentive. Also, once we arrive we never sit more then 10-15 min for appt.

Horrible office. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I booked an appointment weeks ago. The Dr decides to go on vacation and they tell me it will be another month before they can see me. Shame on them.

Extremely unprofessional, uncompassionate office. My Dad waited 4 weeks for an appointment for an acute skin condition that none of his primary care physicians was able to diagnose. Active 86 yr old had his life taken from him due to painful, itchy rash and resultant extreme cold with shivers. 12:30 PM appt- we flew down from NY to accompany him for the 1.5 hr ride. Left approx. 40 minutes "wiggle room" into our timing to arrive. As bad luck would have it, got stuck on a complete shutdown of I-95 just 8 miles from the office. Kept in contact with the office to advise of the situation and was told to "be there by 12:45 or reschedule for Monday"- a day after our travel plans to return to NY. The shut down of the interstate lifted and we arrived at 12:50 only to be told that the Doctor was "gone". The staff then proceeded to lecture us to leave more time to fill out paperwork, etc.!! This, after having previously arranged to email to them ALL of their required paperwork well in advance of this appointment that we waited 4 weeks for! Had to turn around and go home. Leaving FL with a miserably uncomfortable father with no hoped for diagnosis and treatment plan. I don't care how "good" this doctor may or may not be, based upon this experience, the lack of compassion and matter-of-fact attitude of the staff, I would highly advise you to seek treatment anywhere else. Be advised. I myself am a dental professional and if we ever treated our patients/guests like this, we would not have a business in which to work. Dr.Katz is very professional and very helpful, I was told to use some products from the Miami beach skin center called gly salt acne cleanser along with element 47 for my acne condition the cleanser was very harsh to my skin and I will not use it again. I complained to the office manager that I wanted to return it and get my money back for this product that I haven't used more than 2 times and her answer was no because the product was already opened. There is no way for someone to know if a product works for them or not without trying it so if you can't return the product and get your money back after it has horribly dried out and peeled your face then they should be giving out trials instead of having you buy a product. I will never buy a product from here again and I don't recommend anyone else buying them either unless you have used it before or can get a trial. Dr. Katz and staff extremely helpful and took the time to review my issues -- not hurried and very thorough. At another practice (1.5 yrs ago), I had the exact opposite experience where the doctor spent about 1 minute on my body scan and was gone 10 seconds after that and dismissed any concerns or worries I had. With Dr. Katz, he answered all my questions and thoroughly examine all moles and skin growths, did not rush through it, and addressed all my concerns (family history of skin cancer)

Dirty offices. At wound site where excision was done, contracted micro-bacterial infection that took 9 months of daily double antibiotics (with horrible attendant side-effects) to cure and left large residual dark mark on skin surface.
