I gave one star because I had to in order to post this review, I’ve never met this doctor but just dealing w his office staff on the telephone is extremely difficult. The woman on the phone has a very condescending tone and is not very helpful it almost seems as though she was trying to be difficult on purpose. The customer service was absolutely horrible, a doctors staff is a direct reflection of the doctor himself he needs to select individuals who treat every patron with kindness and respect. Dr. Vogel himself is a great listener and a fine doctor. Unfortunately, his office does not run smoothly and there is always a problem with paperwork, prescriptions, bloodwork etc. I don't have time to figure everything out after each appointment. I've got to switch doctors because of that.

I’ve been using doc Vogel for years. He is a very smart man. I highly recommend him.

A very attentive doctor. takes the time to review records at time of visit and goes over any questions you may have. The wait time is typical of most offices (about 15 to 30 min). Staff is good and deals with the cyber entrywork efficiently.

Terrible wait time.... took my father to his appointment and waited over an hour to be seen......

Dr Vogel is a professional, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor.

Thorough and kind doctor.

My wife and I have used Doctor Vogel since we moved to Massapequa Park in 2000 and we are both very happy with the care provided. He listens to our concerns and answers all our questions and we feel that we have taken the right steps to maintaining our health. His office staff is efficient and friendly and we highly recommend Dr Vogel to all our friends and family.

I booked the appointment on the phone 1 week prior. Today I called and rang them to tell them I was running late. They told me that they didn't have me on the system and that I would have to make another time. That's unbelievable as I have records of all appointments I make. I'm really annoyed as it wasted my time and money with me leaving work early as well as babysitting costs. Not to mention I get very little time off. The manager on the phone seemed apathetic when it came to my dillemna. I'm disappointed with the lack of efficiency and care. I booked the appointment on the phone 1 week prior. Dr. Vogel is patient, thorough and professional. Conversely wait times can be long. As other users have commented, the office tries to perform all billing up front and given the complex nature of insurance reimbursements that can create some problems. My current insurance is horribly opaque and I blame the industry, not the office. When selecting a physician, I prefer a relationship to a transaction and so for me, I am comfortable settling any over/under payments at a future visit.

Dr Vogel takes the time to explain all options in managing your health. I feel this is the most important part of health care. He is a very kind person who will answer all your questions. I have even asked him about health issues concerning my husband and my kids.. My parents have been his patients for over 20 years.

I think Dr Vogel is an excellent doctor. My problem is the billing policy. I had to pay upfront for my routing physical which is fully covered by my insurance. I figured I would pay for it and it would be any easy refund. Well although it was fully covered, trying to get my money back has been less than easy. It has been approximately two months of waiting and phone calls. Hardly worth the time and effort! Unfortunate because the office is two blocks from my house.

There is a very odd office policy here - they charge you in advance for services you "might" receive. Regardless if you get these services they put the charge through anyway. Turns a simple check up into an ongoing chore. As an example, I'm going on month 3 of waiting for a refund that was promised to be applied in 6 weeks...again, for services I didn't even receive. A little shady and I understand why other reviews reference rude and money oriented staff.

Horrible. Rude staff and the doctor is terrible. Would never recommend to anyone.

The office staff is terribly unpleasant. All they care about is money. If i could give negative stars I would. There is always a long wait.

I have been going to Dr Vogel for over 13 years. He is caring, professional and knowledgeable.

Dr Vogel and his entire staff are very kind and knowledgeable people. I moved from Atlanta and his office has been very professional compared to services I have received in the past. You and your Family will be pleasantly surprised at the great quality of service.
