Dr. Bruce Raymond Billinger

Dr. Billinger is an exceptional doctor. He has a real passion for educating his patients to ensure they understand the best way on how to care for their teeth/gums. Having a traumatic experience as a child left me very leery of dentists. However, Dr. Billinger is very thorough, patient and knowledgeable spending time to explain what he is going to do to help ease my fears. His staff is also very accommodating and friendly.

Poor in time…

I have never been soo upset, disappointed, frustrated, and angry all at once . I originally called in to schedule a consultation to be seen with referrals from my orthodontist and dentist , I have 7 months left for treatment with my orthodontist and was advised that now would be a good time to get a gum contouring and possible frenectomy. I called Practical Periodontist Office to schedule consultation due to needing treatment soon. I was advised by Dorothy that they would be able to do a virtual consultation with me to see exactly what I need done and provide it to Dr. Billinger. She was so nice and courteous. She told me that based off of what Dr Billinger saw with my pictures that I sent her via email, he said I would need a frenectomy and a gingivectomy , she bragged about him having many years of experience and says he know exacting what I will need and can get me scheduled. She originally scheduled me for the 16th of February, but she told me not to pay anything because their payment system was down. I know things happen and I was okay with that, so I waited for her call for about 5 days to make sure I paid my appointment. About 6-7 days later She called me saying that the 16th was no longer available, as It was a day that was not far from my home address. I was disappointed. So, I asked if she had an earlier date, . She said she would do the 9th of February which is tomorrow. I was so excited and ready to meet the team. I called and asked if I could make payment for my appointment the day before(today), She then told me that the doctor wanted to call and talk to me and she didn’t want to take payment until he talked to me. So I automatically think that maybe cost is going to change .She told me the price is the same. I waited for his call, and when he called me , he started the conversation with my gums having more than normal overgrowth due to my braces. He said he 29 years of experience and told me that I should get my braces removed for some time (months) wait until my gums shrink, and then I can come back to see him to see about treatment. I’ve never had this kind of surgery before, however I am one to ask a lot of questions with my orthodontist, my dentist and calling different and several periodontists. I know that it is recommended that periodontist surgery is usually towards the end of treatment. Mind you I have 7 months left , I were referred. It sounds absolutely crazy to stop orthopedic treatment with my braces just to wait to be seen and possibly get treatment. I’ve never heard of that. He wouldn’t allow me to ask any questions , he didn’t offer me a consultation, but rejected my treatment because he didn’t feel comfortable. It is such poor and inconsiderate customer service to lead a patient on for something such serious and possibly life changing and waiting on standby for almost 3 weeks just to be told the day before my scheduled appointment at this place, that I would not be seen and rejected because of overgrowth of my gums that Dr Billinger says " I haven’t seen this kind of growth in years" it sound a lot like discrimination. And as I were trying to get an understanding, he said "I have other patients, I have to go" and left me on the phone with open ended questions and answers . This is the worse experience I’ve ever had to deal with any type of health provider of any sort. It really hurts me , and I even scheduled the day off of work to be at this appointment. Now I am left with nothing , and Dorothy spoke back with me trying to explain and did not allow me to talk for her to even empathize with what just transpired through this entire wait. I am a mother and a Customer Service Representative myself and I would absolutely not ever give this type of resolution to any customer . The last thing was "you can go to another periodontist”. This is absolutely the most devastating experience I’ve had. I am not one to cry but I actually did. This waisted my time and money. I hope that this message reaches who it needs to as I am giving my honest experience. It was terrible!

I had never heard of a Gingivectomy until I meet Sandra at one of my routine orthodontic adjust appointments. She referred me to Dr. Billinger. His office assistant Sandra reached out to me and set up the appointment. On the day of surgery Dr. Billinger came out introduce himself assured he would take the best care of me and my smile. He didn't lie and did just that! Now I have a smile that can light up any room. My teeth are AMAZING to say the least. If you have little teeth or a gummie smile don't think that it has to stay this way go let Dr. Billinger and his TEAM help you show off your beautiful pearly whites and let you see what your smile can really be. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

I had an appointment scheduled today, I was having car trouble this morning. I called the practice multiple times with no luck. I left a voicemail an hour in advance explaining that I could not find my keys and if I needed to reschedule because I did not know if I could come late/if I should still come or the steps for that. Dr Billinger called me at the time of my appointment asking if I was lost, I let him know the situation and how I called multiple times & left a voicemail. He hangs up on my face. I tried calling back, he then proceeds to block me. I could not ask about rescheduling, if I could still come or what steps to take from there. I was considerate of his time & I understand some cost may have been involved but that is no way to treat a client that reached out multiple times in advance! Very unprofessional. My orthodontist recommended Dr. Billinger to me. He was very thorough and made sure I was comfortable from the time I walked in the door until the time I left. He took his time and went into great detail to explain the entire gingivectomy and Frenectomy procedure I would be having done. His assistant Sandra was also very kind, helpful and sweet throughout the process! I’d definitely return for other work in the future and highly recommend. I love my teeth now and I’m in love with the results of my new smile :) My orthodontist recommended Dr. Billinger to me. I honestly don’t know where to begin on the AMAZING service I received from Dr. Billenger. First and foremost his level of professionalism is unmatched. From the time I entered the building his assistant was warm and inviting. He came out and introduced himself and walked me to the back. I’ve never had any doctor, orthodontist or medical professional come get me from the waiting area. Once I sat down he thoroughly explained the entire procedure and did not start until I was entirely comfortable. When I saw the results of my smile, I was in tears. I honestly didn’t know that I had that much teeth under my gums LOL. Needless to say I will be returning back to complete the bottom portion of my gums (gingivectomy) and know that I will receive the same results. I highly recommend Dr. Billenger and his team! Dr. Bellinger is a GREAT dentist. He is very knowledgeable and deeply care about his patients. He is attentive,patient and educated me on treatment I needed..Other dentist that I have been to only found ways to make money off me. Dr. Bruce Billinger and his staff are an excellent team! I visited Dr. Billinger for a gingivectomy and frenectomy and was extremely nervous since I didn't know what to expect. His staff was very welcoming and prompt in making sure all my information was gathered before the procedure. Dr. Billinger was very friendly and knowledgeable which made me feel more comfortable. What a breath of fresh air ! Thank you soo much for transforming my smile and making me feel so comfortable and Pain free. I was able to go to work 1 hour after my procedure. Very kids staff and Dr Billinger is absolutely the best!!!

I went in for a frenectomy and to get my gums recontoured. Before we started, he explained what he was doing, why he was doing, and what the end result would look like. Then he started the procedure, giving me a topical anesthetic; then administering numbing shots to make sure I felt nothing. My procedure took under 45 minutes once the numbing took affect. Before I left, he gave me after care instructions and prescribed me an antibiotic to make sure I didn't get an infection. He did a great job!
