I was very pleased with my visit. The entire team was excellent. The doctor is very knowledgeable and provides helpful information.

If I could give zero stars I would. After waiting 1 hour for Dr. Moucha, he was impatient, rude, uncaring and nasty. I would never recommend anybody to see a doctor like this. I left in tears.

Dr Moucha is not only an excellent orthopedic surgeon - he is a very caring doctor who makes every effort to answer questions and meet his patient’s needs. He is an advocate who goes above and beyond for the welfare of his patients. His surgical skill is top notch and my husband and I hold him in the highest regard. He replaced both of my husbands knees and both of mine as well!

Excellent in every respect. Same goes for his team of Dr. Shapiro and Dr. Newman who with Dr. Moucha did my left hip replacement surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital on Septemeber 3, 2020.

Doctor Moucha is the best! I had my knee replaced a year ago by Doctor Moucha at Mount Sinai and have done very well. I live in N. J. and after being asked by my cardiologist whether I had considered a second opinion for a knee surgeon I decided to look for one at Mount Sinai. I had a heart procedure with Doctor Vivek Reddy at Mount Sinai and had a totally positive experience. Doctor Moucha is kind, caring and very professional. Had both hips replaced by Dr. Moucha . If you are a candidate for this procedure I strongly recommend you make the trip to Mt. Sinai and have your surgery performed by this doctor . If you have additional health issues such as CHF Dr. Moucha and the Mt. Sinai team is your best option .

Dr. Moucha is a thoughtful, insightful and caring physician. Patients requiring orthopedic surgery are often completely stressed out ... but Dr. Moucha has great skill at providing an environment of calm competence ... placing patients at ease. He is warm, gracious, and approachable.

My hip replacement surgery was done on my left hip in June 2011. After the surgery and rehab I developed a pain in my upper thigh, where the thigh and torso meet. The pain would occur when lifting the leg straight up or when doing sit ups. When getting in or out of the car I’d feel the hip beginning to leave the socket. After three occasions of multi sessions with a physical therapist, the symptoms persisted. In 2017 I met with Dr. Moucha. On examination he saw that the socket portion of the prosthesis was not positioned properly and was rubbing on the psoas muscle in my thigh, causing the pain. Since my revision surgery with Dr. Moucha in 2017 my hip is fine. The only time I’m conscious of the surgery having been done is when people ask how it’s doing (“Great. Like I never had a hip replacement/revision in my life, like years before I ever had pain requiring surgery”.), or when I see the scar, or at the airport security check in.

I spend a lot of time visiting doctors that could give me the right treatment for my hip dysplasia. Dr. Moucha evaluated my case and he immediately knew what to do. He is a highly skilled professional. I am walking again and the pain is gone! I highly recommend Dr. Moucha for anyone who needs orthopedic care.

Had my hip replaced and used a walker for only a week. Never used a cane. Excellent care,l. Dr. Moucha answers all your questions courteously, and with compassion. I couldn’t recommend a better ortho doctor.

I am somewhat of an expert re: joint replacements. I have had 3 hip replacements, the first being some 20+ years ago and the second over a decade ago. When I learned that the original needed revision, I did extensive research which led me to Dr. Moucha. He is everything a person would want in a doctor: medical expertise, pleasant demeanor, thorough in explaining everything and patient in answering all questions and concerns. For anyone considering or needing initial joint replacement or revision surgery, Dr. Moucha is the one to see.

Dr. Moucha performed a revision of a total hip replacement on my right hip. He is a highly-skilled and dedicated professional and the operation was a total success. He truly cares about his patients and is greatly respected by his peers. He must certainly be one of the very best in his field.

I had knee surgery in another state which went really bad. I was told that I might need amputation. Then I found Dr. Moucha. That was in 2013. He operated on me after I had already had 4 operations . But here I am with both legs and I am walking thanks to this good doctor. Besides that, Dr. Moucha is very friendly, compassionate and sensitiv. I had the best rapport with him. Thank you Dr. Moucha! How to begin? Dr. Moucha changed my life. After years of different specialists, procedures, therapy I'd given up hope on walking due to severe arthritis. and nobody was helping. I felt like a customer with other practices, coming in for treatments that didn't help. I finally made it to Dr. Moucha's practice and things were different, direct, expedient. After 2 surgeries I'm walking like a teenager again. I'd been afraid to believe Dr. Moucha, but he was right. And he's such a good guy.

My right hip had been in pain for 15 months and through some research I found Dr. Moucha and he performed surgery to replace my right hip. I must say that not only is Dr. Moucha an excellent (great) surgeon, he is also one of the nicest Doctors I’ve ever been associated with. They say the Hospital for Special Surgery is the best place to go but for my money I’d go to Dr. Moucha and Mt. Sinai Hospital.

The most trustworthy and excellent Orthopedic Surgeon. He made all my fears about hip replacement disappear.

This doctor doesn't follow thru with his patients particularly with a knee replacement gone bad. He sent me home without sending me to rehab When he makes a suggestion and it turns out negative calling his office leave a message to speak to the doctor no return call that is definitely a lack of concern for his patient. I have friends that had knee replacements at Chilton hospital and they were fine after a few months. It is over 2 years and I am still in pain and I can't bend my knee.

Dr. Moucha was an amazing surgeon. He replaced two of my husband's knees in 2010 and my husband now is pain free and has been able to continue his work as a firefighter. My husband had to have one knee replaced on one day and then two days later, had the other knee replaced. My husband had some trouble with the anesthesia on the second knee replacement and ended up in a "death ward". It was a horrible place, and Dr. Moucha had him removed after 1 night. Underwent a bilateral hip replacement with Dr. Moucha at Mound Sinai Hospital. Dr. Moucha is the very absolute best! His office staff is top-notch and everyone I've encountered during my hospital stay was wonderful. Top of the line surgeon. Highly recommend Dr. Moucha!

I had previously gotten cortisone shots for my left knee from Dr. Moucha. I ultimately used a different surgeon when it was the for a knee replacement. I later went back to Dr. Moucha for a cortisone shot in my other knee, but upon learning that I had used another doctor, he refused to give me the injection, even though he agreed that it was the appropriate treatment. This is the first time I'm my lifethat I have ever been refused treatment. He let his ego get in the way of proper medicine.

Dr. Moucha is very kind and considerate. He pays attention to the patient's orthopedic needs, as well as underlying diseases. He is very bright and tireless. I recommend him highly.

I would highly recommend this dr for any knee problem as I was at the point of possibly losing my leg and Dr. Moucha was wonderful! He is has great expertise and a wonderful bedside manner!!! I still have with a successful surgery!!!

Dr. Moucha performed a total hip replacement (arthroplasty) at Mt. Sinai Hospital 10 months ago. I made a full recovery in the expected 5-6 months. As Dr. Mocha only performs the posterior approach plus I was 78 years old this is the expected time frame. I feel about 99% better. He is a superb surgeon in every respect..caring, competent, gives you enough time, answers all questions. He has performed thousands of hip replacements as Chief of Adult Joint Replacement at MS.

Dr. Moucha is a warm person; he cares about each patient as an individual, he is professional as well;so is his staff. My experience with him was excellent. I would reccomend him to anyone, young or old, including those with medical conditions.

Dr Moucha did my hip replacement 11 days ago. Apart from the initial post-operative pain(which was minimal), I am pain free!! Yesterday, in PT, I was walking without any assistance devices!! I have nearly full range of motion of my hip. I am a surgeon and I chose Dr. Moucha to do my surgery. He is brilliant, kind and honest. I would recommend him to anyone! Dr. Moucha is one of the physicians that has restored my faith in doctors. I have a very long medical history and have met at least a couple of hundred physicians in my life. Some were quite good and I hate to say it but many doctors I met in the past are a disgrace to their profession. Dr. Moucha has excellent bedside manners, and very knowledgeable in his field. Most important of all he is a very conservative surgeon. He will only operate when he is certain its in patient's best interest.

Dr. Moucha took over the practice from Dr. Grelsamer who was treating me for my painful knees. I was receiving injections until it became necessary for my knees to be replaced. My right knee was replaced in July 2015 and my left knee in March 2016. Both surgeries were a success and I would highly recommend Dr. Moucha to my relatives and friends.

Due to severe arthritis which has incapacitated myself for many years with tearful moments with both family and friends I decided to seek help.Asking my trusted healthcare providers they recommend Dr Moucha at Mount Sinai Hospital. They were correct Dr Moucha is a world class surgeon a complete hip and knee surgery was preformed with relatively little pain or discomfort I am now heading for full recovery.
