Dr Gamez is both a skilled surgeon and a kind person. She successfully performed surgery on my very badly broken foot. It has healed very well and I’m back to my activities prior to my injury. I am so grateful and highly recommend Dr Gamez. And a big thank you also to Sergio, medical assistant extraordinaire in the clinic!

Always friendly everytime I see her and any members of her staff. They get me in and out without a hassle. If you are looking for a foot doctor she is the one to see.

Dr. Gamaz is great! I’ve now seen her twice; once in 2020 and the second time in 2021 and she gives a great explanation on the issue and remedy.

Dr. Gamez is exceptional and her assistant, Sergio is as well. Her knowledge, experience and confidence are consistently remarkable. She has helped me return to an active life without pain.

Saw Dr Gamez for a serious foot injury in November. First visit: Dr. wouldn’t treat until MRI. Asked no questions about my health history or how injury occurred. Barely examined foot. Second visit: Dr. needed to see me again (same week) to document need for MRI. Observed I could hardly walk on my crutches, did nothing else. More than a week later and after multiple calls, I received an MRI, which I paid for out of pocket. Third visit: Gamez read verbatim the MRI report I had, barely examined foot, told me she’d need to see me again before outlining a plan. DONE. Found a better doc at North Shore. Wish I had gone there from the start and to Smart MRI for less money and time wasted. Will not return to IBJ.

I was really pleased with my experience today at Dr. Gamez office. From the minute I walked in the staff was attentive and very friendly! Dr. Gamez was great she was very informative and very personable. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Gamez customer service is horrible. She had absolutely no care about how long she keeps patients waiting. Wait times are absurd. My appointment was in the first hour office was open and she was over 30 minutes late. She was rude and combative when I informed her I needed to return to the office and was not happy about the wait. Dr. Gamez is outstanding. I have very (very) high expectations for all my medical providers and she meets my personal high standards. Really “knows her stuff.” Besides that, she is helping me address my issue comprehensively and practically, working to correct the cause, not just treat the medical problem that is the result. My experience was awful, she did not care about my feet all she care was to get an MRI and since i didnt want one she dismissed me, not even a pain killer.Do not go there.

Went to 3 different foot doctors. She was the only one to figure out what was wrong and how to fix it. Love them!

Dr. Gamez started out with a minor procedure to solve the issue I was having and said we could move on to Plan B if this doesn't help. Very satisfied!

Take care of my kids very well and explain medical condition clearly and tell you how to prevent and care the pain to heal quickly. Thank you Dr. Carla Gamez for excellent experience from you...Highly recommended.

She really wasn't too concerned with what I had to say, but dismissed me. Two days later I had a second opinion...yep she full on missed the problem that was causing the pain. Maybe should take more time listening. The doctor for my second opinion, listened and was able to figure out the problem within minutes. Sometimes, medical conditions need more information, she clearly missed this.

She never showed up. I asked the lady at the counter where she was. She said told me Dr. Gamez was not there. I was her first afternoon appt. I waited 30 minutes and she was a no show. I walked out. I had a lesson at 2:15. Is it arrogance or stupidity? I wonder about her competence if she can't call and say she's going to be late. I know lunches and shopping can be very important. More important than patients? Not enuf spaces left to tell about the staff on the phone. Ask me.
