Dr. Janzen is both an exceptional physician and human being. Her extensive medical knowledge, technical skills, experience, and professionalism would be enough to highly recommend her, however what truly sets her apart from other practitioners is her high emotional intelligence, honesty, and compassionate nature. I had the privilege of witnessing Dr. Janzen work in the outpatient setting, inpatient setting, and in the operating room, and can honestly say I have not met her equal in technical skill, attention to detail, and commitment to patient centered care in the field of OBGYN. Dr. Janzen managed the complex social and medical aspects of my sister's high risk pregnancy with a candid, caring, professional demeanor and a quiet confidence that spoke to her experience and character, and put my entire family at ease. Her meticulous care resulted in the uncomplicated birth of a healthy baby to my sister against unfavorable odds. In truth, five stars does not do this physician justice, but it's the highest rating Google will allow. I'm very grateful to Dr. Janzen for the attentive care she provided my family, and cannot stress enough how highly I recommend her. Also, just of note, it appears "Thee Cooker" and "Joe Di" are the same person. I looked into it because I couldn't believe the poor reviews. Dr. Janzen has been amazing throughout our pregnancy so far. She is knowledgeable, professional, and inviting. I would recommend her to friends/family in a heartbeat.

Not a very nice lady, very unprofessional I cannot recommend her, hospital is ok though not the best

Dr. Janzen is an extremely thorough and a fantastic doctor. She has great bedside manners and immediately put me at ease. She answered all my questions (even silly ones) and walked me through everything. Dr. janzen is really the best of all worlds- incredibly smart, detailed, compassionate, good at communicating, and amazing at her job. I’m lucky I found her. She cared and made this process so special! I HIGHLY recommend her.

Incompetent

Honestly she's one of the worst doctors I've ever had to deal with, I don't know how she's still allowed to practice

She did my wife's ultrasound and seemed very knowledgeable and was very warm and personable.

Dr. Janzen is the best of the best. She saw me through two high-risk pregnancies at UCLA and made decisions with amazing clinical skill. With the first of these pregnancies, I went from an office visit at 1 pm to a healthy baby in my arms at 8:41 pm all because Dr Janzen caught my pre-eclampsia just as it was beginning and made complex clinical decisions quickly. With the second of these pregnancies, which was my third c-section (my first child was born in a different city), Dr. Janzen ordered extra blood products and made other preparations to account for the risks that come with multiple c-sections. It gave me such peace of mind during the c-section itself to know that my personal medical history was being taken into account. It’s noteworthy that my first child (when I was under the care of a different obstetrician) was born at 36 weeks, and I had severe pre-eclampsia that had gone undetected. My second child, as mentioned above, was full term, and I had mild pre-eclampsia. My third child was full term, and I had virtually no complications at all. I’m very active in an online group for pre-eclampsia survivors, and I’ve seen that this is the opposite of the traditional progression. The difference is, I found the right doctor. It would be enough for a doctor to have this level of skill alone, but Dr. Janzen is also one of the warmest, most caring physicians I have ever encountered. Her bedside manner is impeccable, and it didn’t surprise me to learn that she teaches and mentors the UCLA residents. I certainly hope they come out of their training as kind and as knowledgeable as she is. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Carla Janzen as a high risk obstetrician. Dr. Janzen is the best of the best. Really liked this doctor. We had to go with the high risk since my wife had complications with our first. Dr. Janzen was great. Very personable and explained everything. I couldn't come to every appointment because of my job, and I could see my wife felt comfortable with her. Thumbs up.

Dr. Janzen is a highly regarded physician at UCLA and that was one of the reasons why we chose her office to guide us through my wife's pregnancy. During this very exciting, but stressful process we also realized how caring and passionate Dr. Janzen is with her patients. Her staff too is very accommodating. My wife and I are running a very busy legal practice and it was good to know there was reasonable flexibility around making the routine appointments. Dr. Janzen, you are a wonderful physician. Audrey and Leo are very thankful.

Dr. Janzen is an expert maternal fetal medicine specialist with a warm, caring bedside manner. She doesn’t miss a beat in her diagnosis or treatment of any condition, and she takes the time to explain everything to her patients. The UCLA office staff is friendly and pleasant. Highly recommend.

Dr Janzen is a very meticulous and thorough doctor. She was compassionate and intelligent in answering questions as well as explaining all that she was doing during my ultrasounds. Great doctor.
