I am baffled by these poor reviews. Since I am late middle age I sought out a physician that is more gyn than OB, and I felt she was a lovely person and an excellent doctor. Even though she no longer accepts my insurance, she is the one physician I will pay for out of network.

Came here for a route pap smear (fully covered by my insurance). Fine experience for my pap smear, Dr. Arichbald made me feel comfortable enough and the whole process of the well woman exam was 5 minutes or so- nothing really to note (except the 15 mins I waited in the gown to get seen). Took off 2 stars for the constant back and forth with them for invoices I keep receiving from the lab they work with. Apparently they didn't submit my pap smear as a routine checkup and though I've called them 3-4 times, I got another invoice (3rd). The receptionist even told me once over the phone, she'd follow back up with me... never did! Upon calling the lab, I found out in was their office's fault for never resubmitting the proper code. Spent too much time on dealing with this for a quick routine checkup (over 2 months!). For something as routine as this & knowing how many doctors I have to choose from in NYC, I'd rather go to an office that goes above and beyond, knows how to submit claims to insurance, and diligently follows up with patients. Dr. Archibald is thorough and easy to talk to. She asked a lot of questions which made me feel cared for. I felt extremely relaxed and comfortable during the physical exam. The overall experience was great and would easily recommend her to anyone who is looking for an attentive and knowledgable OBGYN.

I really like it here. Not only does Dr. Archibald make me feel comfortable (she is very kind and easy to talk to), but everyone else there is great as well. Plus I'm always seen on time which I feel is very rare other places! Would certainly recommend both Upper East Side Gynecology and Dr. Archibald.

Very strident in her opinions. She is at odds with my general practitioner regarding a course of action and I found her overly forceful with her recommendations. Felt she should have presented the options to me and let me make my own choice rather than being so opinionated. My body, my choice.

Great doctor, very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. Didn’t have to wait long to see the doctor at all and was very comfortable throughout the visit. I highly recommend this doctor.

Rude, condescending elitist attitude! As a woman I expect a woman in her profession to be more supportive and kind hearted. Especially, towards a first-time mother to be... she was not!!! I was so hurt and angry after my appointment with her, I cried when I got home as I tried to explain to my husband what had happened... literally no words for how disheartened I am by this doctor and her practice. Actually I am disgusted!

I absolutely adore Dr. Archibald. At first, I was reluctant to see her. Dr. Martin Goldstein who was my gyn for over 20 years retired and Dr. Archibald took over the practice. The first time I saw her I realized that she is very young and was concerned about lack of experience. However, as best as I could tell, she is not only very knowledgeable in her field but her overall bedside manners are beyond reproach. I never feel rushed, rather she takes her time to answer any questions.

I made an appointment and I cancelled because while confirming the details of my appointment and insurance information, the receptionist told me they would not check if I had copayments, if their office was in network with my insurance, or if I had a deductible. I asked, "So you are going to see a patient without this very important information and when my insurance doesn't pay you, in case you are not in my network, I end up with bill?" "Yes." I quickly cancelled. This office and any other should care more about their patients. Too bad I can never rate the actual doctor because their policies are so screwed up.
