Carol Mariam Fischer

Carol Fisher is a great doctor. She has been my gynecologist for 11 years now. Dr. Fisher performed my hysterectomy in March 2023. Dr. Fisher explained my options to me to help me make my best decision. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Carol Fisher.

Dr. Fisher is a great doctor. She is very knowledgeable in regards to medical conditions. She is such a sweet doctor and very personable person to talk with in regards to better health. Shout out to Kim that has been her right hand woman for 16 years. She also has other staff that has been there for years. Dr. Fisher is very stylish in her dress. I just love her. Great doctor for this area thanks for all you do :)

Carol has been absolutely wonderful! The receptionist is also wonderful, I was a little scared from reading comments. But as soon as I met them they were great! Is there a 0 star for her what she put my wife through that's what I would give her very unprofessional and also after her surgery she now has to have another another surgery to correct her surgery .. We'll stop there but oh so much more what she had to go through....

Dr. Carol Fischer is very creative when it comes to making up symptoms and patient issues on the report and then billing for it. And when i tried to fight this, the receptionist kim was extremely sour in her dealings and mean. I have not encountered such a terrible person like this. She refused to let me talk with the doctor and straighten out the billing issues. The worst office ever to go waiting is like 3 hours and when you ask the front she answered route and they don’t care about the patient they keep take patients in front of me it was very bad experience

At first they were really great but things started to go downhill really quick. I felt like dr fischer was nice and blunt but also was the only doctor and if she was running late so were you. I dont know how many times I would have an appointment and have to wait over an hour to be seen. You could only get an ultrasound on Wednesdays which was kind of a pain. I think what finally pushed me to find a new doctor was the fact that they took blood then referred me to another doctor because they dont know if the blood was taken correctly. And this doctor they sent me is a whole another story!! This office Took the exact same blood test, never called with the results because the doctor was on vacation and even when he got back they never called me. I just didnt feel cared for after 2 miscarriages and was never referred to maybe see a fertility specialist! Like my new obgyn did. Also after 2 MC which tends to result in weight gain she told me to lose weight! I was 130lbs oh and also let's not forget the time I signed it and her front office staff forgot about me and left me in the waiting room forever! We love Dr. Carol fischer and her staff. She delivered my 1st child. I was scared but she made me feel comfortable during my pregnancy and labor. definitely will choose her again even if I wait for extra few minutes. I know she is busy and it worth it. I do like Dr Fischer, but every single time I have an appointment with her I already know I'm about to be waiting in that waiting room for AT LEAST 45 minutes. At least! In fact, as I'm writing this review my appointment was at 3:30; it's now 4:15. So, any minute now...hopefully.

I love Dr. Carol Fischer and her staff. Originally started seeing her during my first trimester of my pregnancy and they were all incredibly supportive.

Dr Fischer delivered all 3 of my children. She made me feel comfortable during my pregnancies and birth. Everyone that works there goes above and beyond for us patients. There are a lot of times that Kim has been there and helped me. I know some may complain about wait times. What some might not realize is that while your waiting Dr Fisher might have had to run to labor and delivery to deliver a baby or there is an emergency. That is what happened to me. Dr. Fischer Is marvelous. She listened to my concerns and symptoms. She diagnosed me when I had been having trouble getting help before. She is so caring and gentle. I would definitely recommend her for any menopause problems.

I highly recommend Dr. Fischer! I feel very comfortable under her care - I myself work in the medical community alongside many medical professionals (not associated w/Dr. Fischer) and can say Dr. Fischer is professional with an approachable personality, but more importantly knowledgable & experienced in her area of expertise. You can feel that she knows what she is doing. She is one of VERY few gynos that accepts active duty military insurance (Tricare), and I'm thankful she does. She's performed 2 of my surgeries within 15 months of each other, one being a major overnight hospital stay. Each time I've had a successful recovery and minimal physical scaring. I've read other comments about long wait times for appointments, but honestly it is no different than ANY other Dr. Appointment I go to. Her staff is equally amazing. Kim is always helpful & extremely proficient in running the show for Doc to operate efficiently.

Dr. Fischer saved my life. I Called her office after a long menstrual cycle lasting around four months. They took me when no one else would. The staff was absolutely fantastic about getting me in ASAP. I needed immediate care, I was severely anemic and lost half the blood in my body. If I waited for other offices to get me in, I believe I would’ve died. She was the best!!! Not only did she have great compassion for me, she wanted me better as much as I did. She took every precaution, treated me so delicately and finally solved my problem. She saved my life. I am now building my strength and am very, very grateful that I was lead to her. It was true devine intervention. I want all of the women in my life to go to her. My husband calls her “his hero”. Thank you Dr. Fischer!!!!

Dr Fisher, herself, seemed very caring and personable. but my issues were the incredibly long wait time for a scheduled appointment along with how my matter was handled by a member of her staff. after waiting over an hour & a half to hear the results of my bloodwork, I had to reschedule b/c the dr had to go to a delivery; which I 100% understand happens. But, while in the middle of the waiting room, the office girl trying to reschedule me blurts out that, quiet loudly I am infertile and need to have procedures done! I found that very rude to be saying in front of other people! Also, hearing that for the first time (never knew my blood work results) I was devastated & embarrassed, naturally! seemed pretty unprofessional and handled poorly.

Worst front desk receptionist called “Kim” I don’t understand who she thinks she is. She needs less of that attitude and more respect. I would recommend Dr. Fischer's practice to anyone seeking empathetic, informed care. I am more than happy with the service provided to me and will continue to seek her expertise for my medical issues; the only thing keeping me from leaving a five-star review is that I do not recommend her office if you operate under extreme time constraints in your career. Most of my visits are never at their scheduled time (my last being over an hour after I was supposed to be seen). The last visit I had, I and two others beat the staff to their own office (and I was on time for my appointment) and wasn't seen until the aforementioned hour later without an explanation otherwise. I've had no issues with temperament from the office staff and can say with surety that they've only treated me with the utmost patience and affability on the three visits I've been seen but the phone etiquette does leave something to be desired. I know they likely receive a high volume of calls during their limited hours and fault them less for that. The only downside is how long the wait consistently is and how much extra time I truly have to schedule out of my busy day to work in even an early appointment. I've never had this problem with other specialists I see (from gastro to endocrinologists) but I assume its again from a high volume of patients. If you happen to work on a stricter schedule than I do or have a less understanding employer, definitely plan for an extra hour or two with your appointments. She delivered my first child. I changed hospitals thats the only reason she didn't deliver the 2nd. But she also delivered my cousins baby. We both love her! Great nurses in the office.

Dr Fischer delivered my son 13 years ago when she was an intern at my normal doctors office. I was young and scared and she made me so comfortable and even had me laughing between pushes. She is very attentive and patient oriented. I cant wait for her to deliver my next :)

Love Dr. Fischer and all the staff. I see many do not like Kim the receptionist, but in my opinion she is awesome. I don't like when people beat around the bush and she keeps it real. Lets also not pretend like some of the patients are not rude themselves and that many need to be treated like children because they don't understand something. Who wouldn't get frustrated and get an attitude when you have to repeat yourself 10 times for something so simple and easy. They are very discreet and super kind. All the staff is very knowledgeable especially when you know what you are talking about as well. After having a horrible experience with another physician, I was referred to Dr. Fischer by my Family Physician. I was apprehensive, as I was very sick and 2 months out from a previous surgery. Upon my first visit, Dr Fischer and her staff made me very comfortable, were extremely sympathetic and truly cared about what I had gone through. Dr. Fischer, was up and beyond thorough with my history, getting my test results, previous surgical report and compassionate when she explained that because of my age and history, the previous doctor should have performed a biopsy- routine at my age- but since he had not, and had already excised an ovary- I was scared. Dr. Fischer was extremely empathetic and re-assuring. She was also expedient to have all my testing done in a timely manor as I was in severe pain. On the day of my surgery, from the surgical pre-op team right down to Dr. Fischer discussing and explaining what she was doing, I felt very relaxed and confident I was in good hands.

I had a tubal performed by Dr. Fischer and she could not have been nicer and more attentive in answering my questions and addressing any concerns I had.

Dr. Fischer is one of the VERY few doctors we found to accept our military insurance (Humana Military) and who was able to fit us in as we didn’t like our first OB. First off her staff at her clinic is absolutely phenomenal. As for Doctor Fischer she’s very personable and she really cares about how you’re doing. I’m a first time Mom, and she was very reassuring, knowledgeable, and made me very relaxed. If we’re in the area for our next child we will definitely be with Dr. Fischer!

Dr Fischer was great in letting me know what to expect for a hysterectomy. She gave me opinions and explained them to me and recommended which one would be best for me. I had my surgery June 6th robotically, never had surgery so didnt know how I was going to feel. The next day to go home had no pain. Thinking because I still had pain meds in me. The next day no pain still, just didnt lift anything, 4 days later I went into work drove myself! I want to how great and more but this wont let me! ??

I’ve been with Dr Fischer for almost 10 years now, love her, love her office! I travel in from Grand Rapids to see her! We’ve built up so much trust and “friendship”. I just know I’m going to receive great care every time. If anything does arise, Dr. Fischer and heroffice manager Kim are always there to answer questions and help sort everything out. I recommend them to all of my friends, family and expectant moms!

I have been seeing Dr. Fischer for over 8 years. In looking at other reviews, I'd like to acknowledge some of the negative comments. First, yes, Dr. Fischer is the only physician in her office. If you would prefer a practice where you can see anyone on staff on demand, then her practice is not for you. Second, her wait times can be long. But lets be honest, find any THOROUGH physician where this does not happen. She takes the time with her patients, and does not rush them out the door. Appreciate this, and know you are being taken care of properly. Last but not least, the negative comments about the Office Manager, Kim. I'm in shock. Kim is AMAZING. She has always helped, and directed me appropriately, and never, ever has been rude or even had a bad attitude! I think what this comes down to is personality clashes, or how you express your needs and demands. Be kind, and in return others will be kind to you. Simple as that. I love everyone in that office, including all her staff. Everyone is so easy to talk to without judgement, and most of the time we all find a good laugh at the end of each appointment. I have had three successful surgeries performed by Dr. Fischer. I just had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and removed of remaining ovary. My recovery is going smoothly and she is so attentive and has explained the issues and procedures to me in terms I find easy to understand. However, I almost gave a 4 star vs 5 star rating because the wait time is a lot longer than usual. It is the care that is the most important thing, so I've given her a 5 star rating. I have had great experiences with office staff and they always call me back and are very helpful. I have not experienced any issues in this regard. The wait time, for me, is the only negative. Dr Fischer has performed 3 successful surgeries in me, the most recent in February 2017 being a hysterectomy and removal of ovary. I am progressing well and she has explained all issues and the precedirea very well. The only negative is the wait time - that is a bummer but it is the care I believe is the main priority so I gave her 5 stars

Though Dr. Fischer is great, her office manager, Kim, leaves a bit to be desired. Not only does she not communicate in a professional manner, she comes across very rough with a lot of attitude. Unfortunately for me, it was such a poor experience working with Kim in a couple of different situations that I won't be back. In addition, it is only a one doctor office, so when Dr. Fischer is called into the hospital, there is no one left to see her scheduled patients and thus you end up unexpectedly waiting for hours to be seen and the staff, specifically Kim, doesn't inform the patient that Dr. Fischer is tied up. Seeing a one doctor OB GYN practice doesn't make much sense for people who will not need to deliver children. Though Dr. Fischer is great, her office manager, Kim, leaves a bit to be desired.
