Really great doctor! Fixed my shoulder issue when no one else could and was really warm and funny

Through no fault of my own. Zoomcare became my default work comp provider. Insisted I had a torn rotator cuff with no imaging. Pat was concerned about continuing pain so sent me to Dr. Pelmas. Ignored everything I told her, took one X-ray of my shoulder and said she saw no nerve damage (from an X-ray), gave me one exercise, and laughed at me for asking about pain management. Said it might hurt permanently. She was cold, arrifant, and WRONG. Changed care to Rebound and the injury is to my NECK.

Went to Zoomcare orthopedics with severe foot pain. This doctor ordered an x-ray without even glancing at my foot ("I have never been able to see through skin," says she sarcastically.) She didn't discuss pain management and said she could not "really read" the imaging in the x-ray. Further, she tried to put on a huge 150 dollar, ill-fitting boot that had nothing to do with the top of the foot where I had impact. A later consult with a different doctor said boot ill advised, even damaging.

This doctor ruined my life....period. She said she would do a lateral meniscus trim---that's all. She ended up doing microfracturing on my knee (that was NOT necessary according to 2 other surgeons), and then kept me on NSAIDs, which are contraindicated for cartilage growth. Surgery failed and I have constant knee pain. A surgeon said the subchondral bone is now permanently damaged and my only option is a $25,000 out of pocket allograft surgery. Kaiser denies any wrong-doing--no surprise.

Dr. Pelmas did a total shoulder replacement. She explains everything very well, answers questions, and is thorough. My surgery was a huge success! No more pain, full range of motion and full strength.
