Dr. Caroline Irma Cromwell

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Cromwell today. What a wonderful doctor! I saw her fellow first and was immediately informed of something related to my visit. I greatly appreciated the info. I felt with that, I was wasting Dr. Cromwell's time. She made sure I knew I was not. I was worried for months about a certain blood level. All my docs said it was abnormal. Apparently they are incredibly uninformed! Dr. Cromwell immediately put me at ease. Not only that, but she explained much more in detail. I LOVE doctors that are up to date and informed with medical info and share that info with their patients. She was a blessing for me. I highly recommend her to everyone! She is a real doctor!!

I just called to attempt to make an appointment with the front desk. Two different calls and two different associates were incredibly rude to me. They both argued with me about things I was telling them about my medical history, because they were misreading information in the system. Instead of taking this with grace and extending some type of apology and moving forward, they simply rushed me off the call. Hemotology/Oncology is already such an area of sensitivity, and this is no way to manage client care. I have been a patient of Dr. Cromwell’s for a few years now since me and my sons were diagnosed with Factor V Leiden. She’s spoken with candor, been incredibly helpful and assuaged our concerns by making us feel like we’re in her trusting hands. I’m very grateful that she’s our doctor.

Currently seeing Dr. Cromwell. She is concerned and very thorough. Although not in bed, per se, her manner is very soothing and informative.

Very sweet doctor. She takes her time to listen to the patient and offer suggestions.

I waited 3 hours !!!!!! My appointment was at 11 am and i was seen at 2 pm at Mount Sinai !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What happened to bedside manner? Are medical schools not teaching doctors to be humanistic? When a doctor is entrusted with a patient's health, it seems it should be her responsibility to answer questions and to treat the patient with respect and compassion. This doctor, however, acted despicably, deriding her patient in distress for calling on the number she gave to that patient, a number she repeatedly instructed the patient to call. Further, a complex and critical question about the blood went unanswered. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone, and I am disappointed that Health First and Mt. Sinai - and Yale New Haven Hospital before them - recommend her to patients. As the mother of a doctor, as the granddaughter of another, I am appalled that this physician has violated her Hippocratic Oath to do no harm. It does much harm to humiliate, belittle, and denigrate a patient, and if this leads to an inability to get timely, proper care for what is potentially a serious problem, I will do more than just write a negative review. She was thorough and kind. She was also generous with her time. I am still doing tests but would recommend her to anyone.
