Dr. Manke was very professional and patiently listened to my concerns. He remembered me from my last visit with him for surgery on my index finger. He indicated that my diagnosis didn't require surgery but additional medication and cream through my PCM. I was very satisfied with his diagnosis and recommendation.

My only negative experience was an hour long wait before I could talk to the doctor and his team.

Dr. Manke and team are the best. 5 upper body surgeries(2 ulna shortening and removal of hardware in ulna and shoulder surgery) and came out pain free last week from hardware removal. Resumed life the following day! This surgery recovery was magical. He is THE BEST doc in Hampton roads. And is invested in you as a person and a patient. Smart, explains everything simply, you have upper body issues, don’t bother to go anywhere else.

Dr. Manke took time as if he didn’t have another patient. He did surgery on a trigger finger 2 years ago - I trust him thoroughly and would HIGHLY recommend him. We even discussed a book I was reading. If he’s like this with everyone, I do not mind waiting (though it much shorter than expected).

He i s the doctor! Always takes time during visits to explain things . He is a very kind doctor. I have total confidence in any procedure he does. I have 2 neighbors and a granddaughter that also have had procedures performed by Dr. Manke. They also feel that he is an excellent doctor.

I could not have asked for a better doctor. I saw 2 orthopedic doctors before him for this and I was quickly losing faith in medicine because they were extremely rude and one even went out of their way to cause more pain intentionally and accused me for being on her schedule when I was referred to her by my primary care. Dr. Manke walked into the room smiling, listened to what happened, actually had a conversation with myself and my husband and understood what we were dealing with. For the first time I felt hope! Four months later I have fully healed and I’m so incredibly grateful to Dr Manke for not only his help but his patience and caring.

I am so excited to have developed a relationship and eagerly anticipate our next appointment.

Dr. Manke knew exactly how to treat my condition and took care of me quickly.

Dr. Manke did my corpral tunnel surgery back in May 2017.

Was amazed at how quickly was able to obtain appointment from Sentara Leigh ER. Check-in and registration very organized, staff extremely welcoming. Dr Manke was very personable and understanding of my mother's situation and provided excellence treatment direction.

Dr Manke had his PA Tracy help me and she was very responsive. The shot she gave me has reduced my pain but it may take longer for the shot to hopefully eliminate the pain.

Dr. Manke listened to my concerns with compassion and empathy about my husband's injury and follow-up care. He personally called our home to check up on him and gave me his cell number. I couldn't be more pleased with his care.

I don't like pain. Dr. Manke and his team are top notch. They really listen. I understand my current therapy is only short-term, but they don't push surgery. This is so very important. I am grateful for their care and expertise.

Doc Manke told me he was going to remove the pins from my Thumb. Asked if I wanted a Therapist near me to get back the mobility in my hand.

My experience was absolutely awesome this is the first time in my life I ever left a doctors appointment saying to myself “I like it here everybody is so up and happy and there’s an energy in this place I really like it here.”

My appointment was actually with Dr Manke’s Physicians Assistant. What a delightful, professional young lady. She took time to listen to me and explain what was happening with my treatment.

He has a pleasant bedside manor. He explains what he thinks is going on and gives you choices. I trust him with my care. He is one of my favorite doctors.

Dr. Manke’s skills are second to none. He’s an exemplary brilliantly trained and practiced surgeon, who quickly home’s in on a problem and has “real and workable” solutions at the ready. That’s hard to find anywhere and to have it in Hampton Roads means, we, the patients are able to capitalize on his skills, which is our good luck!

In 2013 he did a rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder. In 2014 he did carpel tunnel surgery on both wrists this time I had right rotator cuff surgery. He does excellent work and I would recommend him to anyone. I can’t thank him enough for what he has done for me.

He explained everything I needed to know about my injury.

Dr. Manke was personable and listened to what I had to say about what I believed caused the injury to my shoulder. He said the x-rays showed no injury or fracture. He performed several exercises to determine the strength in my arms and was pleased with the result. He gave me an injection into a small joint in my left shoulder to ease the pain. I felt really good when I left. This was my 2nd visit with him and I would not see any other doctor but him.
