2 visits and I will not go back! My Primary Care co-pay is $0. I am being dunned and threatened because their billing department claims I owe a 35.00 copay for each visit. I have called Humana and they said I don’t owe anything as she is primary care. I have called her office and the receptionists agree because they would have charged me at the time of the visit had there been a copay. My insurance card CLEARLY states primary visits are $0! And the texts, emails and bills don’t stop! It’s a shame because she is a good doctor, but I won’t put up with this. I will go back to Einstein Primary care. This didn’t happen with them.

I don't have a single complaint about my visit. Everybody was courteous, helpful, and prompt.

I do not recommend Dr. Mendis’s office. Went here for a pre op exam, had to call more than once to schedule because the person answering the phone didn’t know how to schedule an appointment and they never called back like they said. Communication is a major issue with them. For my pre op exam I was told my insurance would cover it as an annual check up but I received a bill anyway. I called Main Line Health and they told me a majority of the bill was for an EKG, which Dr Mendis insisted I have even though my clearance forms explicitly stated I don’t need it. Felt very predatory that they insisted I have this done then I’m billed for it. I called the office and they said they would take care of it and would “let me know if they had any issues” but I never received a call back and the bill is still outstanding. I will be switching practices. I do not recommend Dr. Mendis’s office. Generally I don’t like to write negative reviews, I am penning this because I don’t want others to get into trouble like me. I visited this doctor for my Medicaid report for immigration. The staff is very rude.. Staff is not aware of their own rules. I requested for another medical report as the original one was 4 months old. The frontdesk asked me to take another appointment and was not willing to give appointment sooner. I wasted one month and finally got it from another doctor.. Please don’t visit this doctor if looking for medical reports especially for immigration as this is time sensitive. She dismisses every thing I have concerns about and blames it on other things. Not very helpful. I had to take second opinion and I was right.

No bedside manner.

HORRIBLE STAFF!!!! DISHONEST! DISCOURAGING DISAPPOINTING RUDE. but clean office. Poor Attitude towards patients and confused about work and service being provided. Doesn't keep appointments.

Solo doctor with great service. Dr Mendis is very accommodating and takes good care of our son. My daughter is also patient. The only issue I ever have was when we asked for our son her medical approval for handicap parking application. She refused to sign the papers. Our son has very slow mobility and taking him out of the car is risky when other cars are approaching. We leave in a busy street with many trucks driving by (no reason why, but that is another story). Having a parking reserved in front of our house will take that risk away. I have been utilizing this practice for 7 years and always have a good experience. I’m seen in a timely manner and have always received excellent care. I would definitely recommend Dr. Mendis as a caring professional.

Very patient and good doctor. It is very easy to get an appointment which helps and the wait time is less too. I dont like to go to urgent cares just because of the long wait times and in-experienced doctors. Dr Mendis is very experienced and very approachable. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I went to see Dr. Mendis for a physical and to discuss a health issue i was having as a new patient and was very disappointed. The staff at the front desk were very kind however the nurse (?) who took me to my room was very blunt and not very friendly. Dr. Mendis did not listen really listen to all of my symptoms and misdiagnosed me because she did not listen to what I was saying. I was supposed to come back for a follow up appointment and I did even though I was not too excited about it. However, when I showed up they had not put my appointment on the calendar, so I basically wasted my time. Finally, recently during quarantine I reached out about during quarantine because I needed to talk to a doctor and was told that I was "not a patient" since I hadn't had an appointment for 8 months. However, as a healthy 23 year old I don't think I needed to be going into the doctor more than once a year. I will not be going back and I recommend you do not go here at all.

This doctor is HORRIBLE. I don’t know even where to begin wanted to give her a try as my primary doctor. I was having ongoing headaches for a year she never took any of my concerns seriously. She never remember any labs that she had ordered for me. Every visits she would ask so “what can I help you with” as if she had no clue as to what was going on with me. She never documented any of my concerns for any of my visit. My last visit I came in because I was having really bad headaches and also needed a order for mammogram she came in with the script for the mammogram and told me to have a good day. When I came in for excessive headaches. I said that’s not why I’m here what are you going to do about my headaches ? She say “oh” what would you like me to do about it ? She doesn’t listen to anything that you say. Visits are less than 10 minutes horrible doctor no compassion, no concern whatsoever. You’ll end up dead messing with her.

Excellent. Dr. Mendis is thorough, competent, personable, and compassionate. Perhaps a bit overwhelmed for such a small office with a skeleton staff.

I recently had a disturbing experience here. The person who was completing my check-in got the normal physical signs and then she said "We have to ask these next questions, but you look fine so just answer them quickly." They were all mental health related and so I was taking them seriously and answering them - I guess I took too long because she began answering the questions for me! Unknown to her I did come into the office to talk about anxiety and depression. I'm fine and stable but those questions should be taken seriously and not flippantly. Those questions are how you can begin to diagnose if someone truly needs help. I don't take that lightly. I recently had a disturbing experience here. This is by for the worst customer service experience I have ever had by a healthcare provider. Appointment was at 6pm, I wasn’t seen until 7pm. First red flag during my visit was that the previous patient before me asked Dr Mendis a question before leaving, Dr Mendis responded “ I cannot talk to you or answer anymore questions, the office closes at 7 and it’s pass 7, and I have other patients, thank you for understanding.” Wow!! I was immediately taken back by this response, where is the patient care, or better yet where is the respect? Dr Mendis then enters my room, she tells me that Pap smears are done every 3 years not annually and I didn’t need one. She asked if I had any concerns, I advised her of one. Our interaction lasted 5-7 minutes at most. I then go to the receptionist to pay, and my bill is way higher then quoted over the phone, for a self pay visit. I asked for a break down of the price, Dr Mendis then reappears, holds up the billing sheet( as if I can’t read) and says I had a level 3 care visit. I again ask for a breakdown of the Levels of care, and that I was quoted a different price on the phone. Dr Mendis says again it’s a level 3 visit. I advise that I didn’t even have the service I originally scheduled, I had far less. Dr. Mendis Then says “ I’m not here to have a billing discussion with you, that’s the price”. She says ‘Thank you’ and walks away. The front office staff apologized and said that they were embarrassed by the way I was treated. At the end of the day, this woman should not be called a doctor. She’s a money hungry thief, who should do a self evaluation as to why she became a doctor. Clearly, she did not become a doctor for the greater good to help others. Worst doctors experience ever. Dr. Mendis and her staff are fantastic, patient, and knowledgeable. I could not have asked for a better doctor.

Extremely unprofessional. Dr. Mendis was friendly for the most part to my children and I, but you could tell she was irritated. I brought my 3 children in for appointments and apparently she considered it as being overbooked, which I wouldn't know considering it was our first time there. Every time she left the room my children and I heard her scolding her staff about the appointment and about them doing their jobs incorrectly. Her receptionist and nurses were extremely nice.

My appointment was at 9:30. It was 10:30 before I was seen. The waiting room was empty. It's extremely disheartening to know that MY time isn't valued one bit, nor is the science of communication used at all to update paying customers as they're allowed to sit and wait an hour, while I can clearly hear conversations going on about several inane topics and the doctor laughing.. all the while, I wait... Went to her for chronic muscle pain, fatigue. She ordered some blood work based upon my symptoms but mostly family history and I felt as though she cared very little about my problem rather then finding out more about me as a person, relationship information etc. I went for the blood work she ordered as directed in hopes of getting a call from her with the results and her plan to help me. Instead I had to call them a week later to get my results. They did call back the same day but a nurse called saying one of my values were on the high side with no plan going forward with my chronic pain. The office was very small but clean and the staff was moderately nice. Everything was good except for the fact that she paid no attention to my actual problem or have a plan for what I should do. In her defense it was our first appointment but I was not impressed. From what I felt she even paid more attention to possibly doing a gynocology exam during the appointment which had nothing to do with my complaint. Needless to say I am going to go elsewhere so my pain and fatigue can be handled. Maybe they will refer me to other doctors for further testing or give me some antibiotics or something. I would only recommend this doctor if you want a nice doctor who can deal with yearly physical exams but not if you have any issues. This doctor is a reason why our medical industry is crap. My fiancé and her son went there and Dr. Mendis brushed them through. She didn't care at all. She was sarcastic and didn't even listen. Charged the full price didn't help and didn't answer any questions. Didn't refer any courses of action. A yearly check up was covered by insurance and when my fiancé went there for the physical the doctor said she'll just check everything next time of course when next time is she had to pay the price not covered by insurance. If you care about your family don't want to be ripped off and like dealing with people who are professional and caring don't go to this doctor. My experience with this Dr has been frustrating at best. Misdiagnosed etc..... she told me I have a certain condition that is 100% incorrect. Have had it validated (my real condition) by numerous physicians, dermatologists, GYN/OB! For her to refuse a referral for me is totally unacceptable let alone unprofessional!

Called me to present another patient's test results then questioned my lack of memory of a procedure. I couldn't trust her or her staff.

Tends to "talk down" and really doesn't listen to what I am saying.

Every time I leave a review it gets deleted. Dr Mendis took a urine test to check for drug usage without my consent.

Dr went on 3 week vacation at the same time partner was on maternity leave. There was no dr in office. Doesn't return phone calls
