Dr. Doering has the knowledge and experience necessary to provide great quality care. He takes the time to thoroughly evaluate and communicate your status and to hear your concerns. Then he makes certain you ask and he answers all of your questions. I leave his office each time with the confidence that my care is his greatest priority and his skills will deliver that care.

I accompanied my dad to his appointment today. The staff was so personable and attentive. Dr. Doering was just as friendly. wanted to thank Dr Doering and his staff for excellent support. i experienced an emergency eye problem on Sat 6/4 Found an after hours number for Dr Doering. Called and spoke to them... was told they would contact the doctor. Got a call back in less then 30 minutes. Dr Doering agreed to open his office and bring in staff to see me on Sunday 6/5. found out i had a detached retina at the exam. great support from Dr Doering and his staff... thanks for caring.

Terrific support and clinical staff. Dr Doering's exam was thorough and he answered all my questions, never made me feel pressed for time. He even offered medical solutions I didn't know existed. His new office is beautiful, spacious and offers the most up to date medical equipment. Can't say enough good about his practice.

Great office staff and physician. My husband had gone 3 x to retinal specialist in Charleston for eye injections for macular degeneration. Each time was painful, he could see the needle coming for his eye and was left with “bloody” looking pupils. MD told him this was normal. We went to see Dr. Doering and what a PLEASANT experience! My first time appointment with was 5/11 and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Doering was very professional, thorough and did not rush the exam. He answered all my questions and I would recommend him to everyone who needs an ophthalmologist.

I had a retinal detachment while I was far away from home (New York) and needed immediate surgery. Dr Doering saw me that same day and scheduled surgery for next day. I had never met Dr Doering before and was anxious about the visit and surgery. He went out of his way to make me calm with his professional attitude and friendly manner. He answered all my questions thoroughly. All his staff, especially Megan, were wonderful and helpful through every facet of my recovery from appointments to insurance to medications. My husband had an emergency eye issue while vacationing in Murrells Inlet. Dr. Doering was recommended to us through another office and we are forever grateful. Dr. Doering has kept me seeing for over 10 years. While he was setting up his own office, I was treated by 3 other drs. My eyesight got gradually worse until the text on TV was blurry. Eye surgery went well and Dr.Doering ‘s after surgery treatment instructions could not have been easier to follow. We feel very comfortable under his care. Eyesight is prescious.

I was misdiagnosed by a doctor in Georgetown and transfered to Dr. Doering who correctly diagnosed my condition. He always takes his time to explain things to me so I understand.

I am grateful for the practices on call physician, Dr Hazelton who consulted with my son on the phone with the concern of a possible detached retina. The staff accommodated me by working me into the next day schedule where I was seen by Dr Doering. He was able to immediately allay any concern about a detached retina. He did diagnose narrow-angle glaucoma and explained how it was occurring and a plan for treatment. Again, thankful for his expertise and time given to see me.

Because of a bad auto accident years ago, I get very nervous and tense when It is an eye doctor I am going to see. Dr. Doerning and his nurses made me un-tense and relax. They explained each little detail and allowed me the time I needed to relax. I love Dr. D’s humor!!
