Dr. Shah explained his plan well before my wife's procedure. He also described well what he did after the procedure.

Dr Shah is a great doctor and I would recommend him to anyone that needs a Physician in his specialty. I would like to give him a 5 star rating however his office staff is less then stellar. I returned their calls and called several days in a row because I have had a medication change. Every time I call the person answering the phone does not ask my name and when I tell her whom I need to talk to she places me on hold then to a phone line that rings and rings with either no answer or to be placed on hold again and after more then 15 & 20 minute wait times, nobody picked up the phone so I had to try 4 days in a row before I could make contact. I believe the professional and right thing to do would be for the person answering the phone and take a proper message. Otherwise this physician is amazing. 11-22-2021 I’m sure Dr Shah deserves a 5 star but the last 2 times I was there I had to see 2 different Nurse Practioner with a follow up in 3 months. My medication ran out on 11-21-2021 Sunday and my pharmacy did not have another order for me so I called Dr Shah’s office at 8:23am on Monday 11-22-2021 and left a message that I was out of medication and needed my refill and I needed to speak with someone regarding changes to my medication and was advised that someone named Sandy would be calling me back but as of 4:25pm I had not heard from anyone, so I called his office again, I was advised that Dr Shah was out on Holiday. I told the receptionist what the situation was and the type of medication I was on, and she proceeded to tell me in a very condescending way that my medication was a controlled substance, then she wanted to know if it had been sent in to pharmacy previously via electronic or did I get a paper prescription? The receptionist wanted to debate with me about my appointment and medication. I had to tell her I needed to speak with the Nurse Practitioner and she stated she was gone for the day and was only working half days due to Holiday, and now I would have to wait another day to get a call back. It seems as if whenever I have to call Dr Shah’s office regarding anything, that either the messages aren’t getting to the medical professional or that the receptionist is being debatable about my medical care. I get stressed out and experience anxiety whenever I have to call the Dr for anything because I don’t get a call back or I’m being interrogated by this receptionist. Although Dr Shah is wonderful with his clients, it almost has me in a position to search out another physician. 12-2021 I was able to discuss previous situation with a medical staff member, and the service has gone from worst experience to best. I rarely leave reviews but felt today’s pulmonology appointment warranted one. Dr. Shah was very congenial, while at the same time, concise and focused. He explained everything thoroughly and was sure I understood the plan before wrapping up the appointment. I’ve worked in the medical field for almost 20 years and can be a little hypercritical, but I was very pleased with today’s visit and would happily recommend him to anyone. This doctor is so arrogant and insensitive with a horrible bedside manner. My PCP referred me for specific tests and he would not perform the tests because he was 100% sure I have reflux. I had just been to a GI Dr and had an endoscopy 3 weeks early confirming I have no GI issues. My child was with me and his comments were completely insensitive and inappropriate in front of a child..

I was hesitant for today’s visit based on some of the reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Dr. Shah was very congenial, while at the same time, concise and focused. He explained everything thoroughly and was sure I understand the plan before wrapping up the appointment. I’ve worked in the medical field for almost 20 years and can be a little hypercritical, but I was very pleased with today’s visit and would happily recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Shah is an outstanding pulmonologist and has taken excellent care of me for over two years. He diagnosed my bronchiectasis caused by several bouts of pneumonia within a few months and successfully cleared the pneumonia. He also diagnosed my sleep apnea and has managed it very well, enabling me to have the best quality sleep I’ve had in many years. Dr. Shah is a brilliant clinician, who spends time with me to listen to my concerns, perform a thorough physical examination, order diagnostic tests as indicated, and educate me on the procedures and treatment regimens recommended. He has also collaborated with my Rheumatologist to plan how best to minimize my risk for infection to enable me to start treatment with biologics for my autoimmune disease. The team in his Land O Lakes office where I am seen is excellent. Like Dr. Shah, they are consummate professionals who ensure your needs as a patient are met and they typically exceed my expectations. As a registered nurse for 37 years, I’m not easily impressed with healthcare providers. Dr. Shah is one of few that has made me believe that truly compassionate, excellent care is available in Tampa Bay, and for this I am eternally grateful! Every time I have gone into the office and seen Dr. Shah it’s been a pleasant experience. Not only does he talk to you and helps you understand what’s going on but he also answers every question I have. I have never had a bad experience with him nor with the front office and nurses.

I usually do not give 5 star or excellent ratings but in this case it is warranted! After moving to Florida nearly 5 years ago I needed to find a new Doctor to monitor my sleep disorder. I chose Dr. Shah and it was definitely the right choice. He is very personable, precise and professional. He reviews your symptoms with you and discusses the options you have available for treatment. Another plus about Dr. Shah is he treats you as a person and not just a patient. He always has time to ask how my golf game is going and to know he cares enough to remember a personal interest I have means a lot. Dr. Shah also has my wife as a patient and was very instrumental in diagnosing her lung cancer and following her progress and care received at Moffitt Cancer Center. She is now in full remission! Dr Shah is one if the most kindest, caring, professional Drs. I know. He saved my husband's life after going septic 4 times in 4 months. There are no words to express my gratitude. If you ever need a pulmonologist he is the dr. to go to. We are now seeing him in his Wesley Chapel office and Samantha his tech nurse is very kind and caring along with Dr Shah. I arrived at the office at 1pm for my 1:15 pm appointment with Dr.Shah on 4/6/21. After paying my copay, Samantha, the Medical Assistant, called me back at 1:25 pm to an exam room. She was very friendly, polite and professional. We briefly discussed our October birthdays while she took my vitals. Dr. Shah came into the exam room within minutes. He was very informative explaining the results of my tests and made sure I knew the severity of my problem. He made sure I understood everything before he went on to the next subject. He joked with me a little which I like that in a doctor. It makes me feel more comfortable. He walked me through how a CPAP machine works and explained what needs to be done. He asked if I had any questions and said I could call him later if I did. He was very pleasant and professional. He then walked me to the checkout window where his staff joked with him too. Dr. Chirag Shah is incredible pulmonary doctor and an excellent person. Not only has he taken great care of my respiratory health, but also he is very nice to speak with at every appointment. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. Great medical office, wonderful and warm experience from start to finish. Dr. Shah is very understanding and listens to your concerns. Dr. Shah takes time with the patient to help them with their health issues! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a pulmonary specialist. U want disorganized Snotty lazy people with attitudes that don't care about their job or U, then Dr Chirag Shah's office is for U. I spoke to 5 people in total, transferred 3 times, had to call back 2 times and that's just the phone calls. They are just as bad in person. The pandemic is the go to excuse for a year now but that's no excuse for very poor customer service after a year of this already. From dawn to cynthia and other 2 girls who refused to give me their names, to act like ur clearly just a paycheck to them, be disrespectful, condescending and be lazy towards a patient. Even the DR himself was rushing and not listening to a word i was saying about my back history to see ignored both myself AND his nurse assistant to what we were asking for. But it's what the DR says, meanwhile it's MY body and health. His assistant cared more about my issues than the DR. did. I can see why his workers are so terrible. Because it starts from the TOP down. Ur sick and need help, not b s.

They change appointment time, then you have sit there for one hours or more. There is no respect for patients time

I have seen Dr. Shah on routine visits and sick visits. His staff are courteous and responsive. I have been able to see him within the next day. He is personable, professional and gives full explanations of the procedure.

Excellent ...Dr Shah is doing a great job following up my asthma symptoms. Im feeling much better since I started visiting him.

I saw this doctor twice and it was poor experience. His treatment was too aggressive and inappropriate, which subsequently has been confirmed by several other physicians and medical professionals. I do not recommend.

Dr Shah is a dedicated, caring critical care intensivist and pulmonologist . He is available , hard working and sincere . He takes time to know the patient and follow up to make the patient is improving . My husband , 75 years old with lung cancer , believes DrShah is one of the best doctors he has had taking care of him.

Refused to do test my PCP ordered. Decided to make his own dx of me completely unrelated to pulmonology. Bedside manner considering I had a small child with me was not good. Redid tests I already advised I had done and were clear. Waste of time. Medication I was given had severe drowsiness (for allergies?!) and did not advice me of this. I was unable to function for 48 hours I was so sleepy, he had no consideration that I have to drive a small child to and from school and cannot have that.

Not sure why this office can never get billing right. Communication is also a big problem with the staff of this office. Dr. Shah is professional, thorough and friendly but the staff is consistently inadequate and make too many mistakes.
