I went to Dr. Briones complaining of fatigue, muscle soreness, hair loss, and joint pain. She referred me to a specialist and then asked me if I might be depressed. When my symptoms got worse, I tried to see her the same day. Even though there were cancellations that day she refused to see me - the soonest I could be seen would be 5 days. I saw someone at a different Clinica La Familia the same day and was able to request additional bloodwork. Turns out I was iron deficient. She may have an MD but she is not her patient - don't assume someone is depressed because they are frantic to figure out what's wrong with themselves. Trust the patient to know their own body. Furthermore, she (blood) screened me for celiac disease when I am already on a gluten free diet. A simple Google search shows that to get reliable results you must be on a gluten containing diet for 6-8 weeks. I told her this and she told me I was wrong. Also, when I referred to one of her colleagues as "Dr.", she corrected me "You mean Nurse Practitioner.." I would recommend her for basic things like treating the flu, but not for chronic health issues.
