Dr. Crisera gave me my life back! There are not enough words to describe what an incredible surgeon and physician he is. I had been through two prior implant exchanges after my bilateral mastectomies for breast cancer and was facing a third at the time I met Dr. Crisera for a consultation. The first implant replacement was due to a constant infection resulting in adhesions, the second was from a ruptured implant, and the third due to a possibility of cancer from the implants themselves per a letter from the manufacturer. Dr. Crisera offered me the option of the DIEP procedure which uses abdominal tissue to form breasts in lieu of implants. He patiently explained in detail what the procedure entailed as well as the long recovery afterwards, but was confident he could achieve a more natural result and without implants again. I am so thankful to Dr. Crisera for helping me feel whole again and now can put cancer behind me.

Dr. Crisera is patient and respectful. He has a great deal of experience with breast cancer reconstruction and has a passion and mission to help women regain confidence with their bodies after surgery. I am disappointed at how odd the side of my body where the lattisimus dorsi flap muscle was implanted. I wish I had better understood what the surgery was about and had seen "after" pictures. I've decided when the implants are to be replaced in 10-12 years I'm going to have them removed and go flat but am worried about the odd nature of the lattisimus dorsi muscle that is now on my chest cavity.

Dr Chrisera is amazing and just as amazingly talented, he has the best bed side manner and a wonderful team that work for him. I highly recommend him to all my breast cancer sisters, he did an amazing job on my reconstruction. You wouldn’t even know I ever had cancer. I would give him 10 stars if I could, I am so thankful and grateful for him!
