So I call to request an appointment with Dr Hampson. Person who answered, did not know who he was, had to look him up, same as did not know what kind of Dr he was. And finally when asked about my insurance, she was confused and said she had to look at the website. I had already checked with my insurance but when I went to their website, my insurance is not in there. She transferred me to billing. I speak to another gentleman and said it was the wrong dept. Waited on the lobby for over an hour. No apology. Finally got in. Concerns and issues were dismissed. Told to continue to take an over the counter, which I have already been doing to no avail and then was dismissed. Told to think about seeing a different specialty. Really did not feel heard or listened too. This is the 3rd DMG doctor I have seen. They just pass you on to the next one. GP recommended endocrinologist, Endo recommends ENT. ENT says see a GI doctor. Paying copays all the way. So frustrating and wish someone would just listen. Waited on the lobby for over an hour. No apology. Finally got in. Terrible, whenever I wanted to take the next step in my surgery procedure I needed to call the office. Every week I needed to call which took 20+ minutes because you need to call through DMG and get transferred. The process has taken over a month when it could have been done in a week.
Dr. Hampson is a nice, friendly Doctor, as is his reception staff. However, the reason I am giving a low review is because of his unorganized personnel. My mom recently went in to see Dr. Hampson due to persistent throat pain. The first issue was a result of a mistake made by DuPage Medical Group where no one told my mom she had to be tested for COVID prior to attending the appointment with Dr. Hampson (my dad had tested positive a couple of weeks prior, but since no one at DMG brought it up as a concern, we thought she was cleared since a few weeks had already passed). Flash forward to the appointment day: we go in to Dr. Hampson’s office and the front desk receptionist is shocked to learn that my mom had not been tested for COVID-19 after being exposed a couple of weeks prior. She tells us that my mom needs to be tested first and then she could reschedule her appointment with Dr. Hampson. All of this happens, my mom is finally able to go into her appointment a week later and the doc says she needs a radiology procedure and that those could be taken the following week, but we had to be cleared with our insurance first. We never heard back from our insurance, so my mom calls Dr. Hampson’s office and the nurse explains that our insurance never got back to them either, which seemed odd. My mom calls our insurance and the lady on the phone explains that her paperwork from Dr. Hampson’s office was just sent in THAT MORNING. So here we go again, my mom had to reschedule her radiology appointment, while the insurance approved the procedure. A few days later, we get a notice from our insurance saying that they can’t cover the radiology for my mom. She calls them and asks why. Our insurance explains that Dr. Hampson’s Office did not submit all the required paperwork for them to clear the radiology procedure as a necessary procedure in accordance to the insurance’s regulations. Keep in mind, it has now been over a month that my mom has daily, constant throat pain...this was absolutely ridiculous. Our insurance recommended that my mom simply switch doctor’s at this point, which she will be doing. This was an unfortunate experience. Dr. Hampson has seen me since I was a baby and has done different surgeries. I would never go to another place. My father also is a patient and we have received amazing care. Thank you Dr!!!

Dr Hampson is great, very thorough and listens and explains things. You don't feel rushed and even when the condition is somewhat rare he continues to pursue avenues of treatment.

My four year old had her tonsils out and Dr. Hampson was great. His staff, especially Chrissy, was fantastic. Thanks for making a difficult day just a little easier.
Approximately 16 years ago Dr. Hapson operated on my son who had a hole in the drum of his left ear and about 6 years ago I looked for him because I was having problems with my right ear He discovered that I had a Cholesteatoma tumor He recommended me an excellent specialist. Dr. Hapson, thank you for being such an excellent doctor my God bless you. We have been seeing Dr. Hampton for 10+ years he has removed all my kids tonsils, I highly recommend him. He is thoughtful and smart.
They have been absolutely wonderful to work with. Our daughter has been going to Dr. Hampson since she was a baby. Dr. Hampson and his staff always treated us with respect. They make sure our little daughter is well informed and also is listened to when we go in. Thank you for respecting her! Keep up the good work.
Dr Hampson has always been great.After joining Dupage Medical Group it’s impossible to get an appt even with his great PA Erin.The staff at DPG is the worst I have ever encountered.Having had another doctor also at DMG(OBGYN)I can not recommend anyon due to the staff. It’s impossible to get anyone one on the phone and even if you do it’s takes 6 phones back and forth to make an appt. even as an established patient. What’s the point of a great doc if you can’t get in to see him? DMG I’M DONE!

My wife took my son there based upon 2 great referrals. They said he needed surgery. My wife came home and told me. I called back to see how much it would cost. I was transferred all around and spent over 1 hour on the phone to get dumped into a voicemail. I have 180 employees that work for me this place is a joke. He is a good doctor however this is the second time since I have been his patient that they have moved locations without bothering to inform their patients. Really?? The first time I showed up at the office and they had moved and only left a notice on the door and the second time I found out because I could not get through their new phone system at DuPage Medical (and I tried several times on different dates) and I went directly to the office. Making appointments used to be so easy not now.
