I've been his patient for over ten years and drive five hours to see him. He is knowledgeable about my condition (multiple sclerosis) and an advocate for patient therapies. Most importantly, he listens and takes time with patients, and his bedside manner is immaculate. I always leave appointments feeling better and hopeful.

Disappointed

We've been trying to get someone to call us back for almost 2 weeks! I understand he is very busy...but with all his patients it seems he's bit off more than he can chew. Each of his patients shouldn't have to sit and wait over 2 hours to see him and wait over 2 weeks and counting for an answer to a question! I am not impressed a bit!

He is a great doctor.

Even though he is a busy doctor, he makes sure everyone needs are met. He takes great care with everyone.

Dr. LaGanke is by far the best MS doctor! I have been to ATL MS Center, then to Vanderbilt MS doctor and never felt heard or like they even cared if I got better and I was getting worse. Everything changed when I saw Dr. LaGanke! He took more time to listen on my first visit, than they did in a year of office visits combined! He has more compassion and understanding than any doctor I’ve ever seen! I can’t express enough how important it is to trust your doctor, especially with a disease like MS!! Kind, patient and amazing. I can't imagine having any other Dr treat my MS. He listens to you and makes you feel like family.

My daughter sees Dr. Laganke and he and his staff are absolutely wonderful! I would wait all day to see him before I’d be rushed through to see a Dr. who isn’t near as thorough.

My very first visit in August went very well. I was told I would hear back in two weeks about my blood work then we would start treatment. I have never heard back...I have called several times and not gotten a return call, all I got was he is working on it. Extremely disappointed.

Dr. Laganke is the first neurologist I've seen that asked questions and actually listened to my answers. Every single appointment. I wouldn't see anyone other than him. He is the BEST!

If I could give a 1 star review I would! I am blow away how the Doctor does not realize or maybe he just doesn’t care about how the patients are being treated from the front desk staff and nurses. It doesn’t matter at this point how great a doctor is, being treated this way by his staff is a MAJOR concern. On top of that, the nurse/nurses who call in prescriptions NEVER do it correctly and are constantly late. She makes you think it’s your fault and is the nastiest person ever! Dr. Laganke is the best.

He is a great compassionate understanding physician. He has a deep longing to help each patient from watching his mother's need for appropriate treatment and understanding that every multiple sclerosis patient deserves. I cannot imagine having a regular neurologist. I'm blessed to have him as my MS Specialist Neurologist.

Best neurologist if you have MS anyone could ask for. His support staff can be hard to adjust to but once you get used to them and they get used to you, it’s smooth sailing. No complaints. I love this doctor so much & you will too. Takes a while to get in initially, sometimes you have to wait an hour or more for your appt. if it’s a busy day, but it’s worth it. I’ve seen so many doctors over the years where I’ve left in tears. Finding someone like Dr Laganke was a life saver. Bren going for over four years and don’t plan on leaving EVER. Great he has been my doctor for 7 years he is the best

Always a 1.5-2 hour wait time for about a five minute visit with the doctor. And good luck trying to reach their office by phone, they literally have it off the hook sometimes. Ridiculous.

They won’t answer the phone or call in your refills like they state. I call one in on Oct 4, 2019...today is Oct. 10, 2019. Still waiting for my refill...not very good medical services. Absolutely the best Dr. and staff! Dr. Laganke specializes in MS and has helped me in so many ways - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.v

Best experience ever. NO waiting time at all. The staff is awesome. The infusion staff is the BEST ever also. Very comfortable, I was a little scared and they eased my mind and fears !! I can not say enough good things about all of them ...great group of people. Dr Laganke is so nice caring and he cares, it is refreshing.

I've been a patient of Dr. LaGanke since 2005. There's no words that can describe the care and compassion that he's provided me with. I am an MS patient and have had this relapsing remitting disease since I was 28 years old...I am now almost 60. I was suicidal because of the condition that Multiple Sclerosis had put me in and through clinical trial studies that provided free or assisted help that he and his staff found for me...I am in better health and am happy to be alive! Dr. LaGanke is a Christian that gives all of the credit for everything he does to Jesus and his passion for healing is reflected in his character. I also thank Jesus for sending me to him as I wouldn't be writing this now if he hadn't.

love Dr Laganke but when ever I call it is forever to get an answer. Plus my Dr called them and told them I needed an appointment with Dr Laganke because I had not be able to get through in years to get an appointment so My dr called for me, they made me an appointment with Dr Pam Quinn. I didn't want to see her because she had told me 2 times I had MS, yrs ago. But once I got to see Dr Laganke he said it was Sjogrens , well I haven't got to see Dr Laganke in about 4 yrs now when My Dr called and made this appointment. Well The lady on the phone said if I didn't have MS I couldn't see Dr Laganke. Well DUH ! how do I know if it has gotten worse or what bc I didn't say I had MS I told her I had Sjogrens. So she would not let me see Dr Laganke. So I hope he see's this and calls me in.

Dr. LaGanke and staff are Terrific: competent, trustworthy, patient, kind, extremely knowledgeable. THE BEST.

Dr. Christopher Laganke is the BEST NEUROLOGISTS in Alabama and in the Southeast. A wonderful Christian man. He takes time for you. He also does referrals for other specialists like a Gastrologist or Dermatologist and many other Specialists. You get 3D imaging at Heritage Diagnostics and Dr. Laganke is highly trained in reading the results. Saving alot of time on the wait.

He is the best MS specialist ever! He is very caring and compassionate. I have been seeing him for 12+ years. He saved my life. He takes his time with his patients and truly wants to find a cure for MS. Sometimes the wait can be long but I would honestly wait patiently no matter how long it might take.

Care is wonderful

I found the doctor to be wonderful, thorough, and compassionate. BUT FORGET TRYING TO CALL HIS OFFICE!

Treat you like family, yesterday's visit cemented my security that he is the best doctor I've ever meet. It was heart breaking to get my diagnosis, buy we have tried everything and he said he would improve the quality of my life. He did it. I've never been so ease . I was at the point of sever depression and sever pain that I had considered suicide to give me and my family peace and he gave me hope. I am 30 %better and can do so much more now. Medicine that is taking care of my problem that is improving my happiness and my marriage all at the same time. He treats you like your family and the only the thing that matters when he in the room. How Dr.LaGanke received anything other than 5 stars is mind boggling to me. My husband saw a MS doctor in Birmingham for 2 years and he did nothing but decline under her care. Rude staff, had to call at least 4 times before you ever got a call back, and never even entertained the idea of starting him on infusions. She just let him suffer. Fast forward to 2 months ago when he started Dr.LaGanke started on infusions and my husband was a walking miracle 1 week later. I'm new patient , Dr. Laganke is the best neurologist I've ever dealt with. He treats his patients like family and will sit and listen at you and not make you feel rushed so not only do you feel valued, but also LISTENED to. I recommend him to anyone .

I’m concerned about the dr getting his msgs. Several months ago I was in the hospital. The hospital requested my record by fax and they never replied on a few occasions I spoke to I believe one of his nurses and said they would seek the information I needed and would call me. They never called. Recently I called a couple times to ask about treatment Eventually I’m told there was a note in my chart from the dr. No one followed up nor pass that info to me. I took me nearly 2 mo to get any reply Even now I’m waiting for a course of action. I feel the staff is very nice and polite but somewhat incompetent

Dr.Laganke is a very good neurologist who definitely cares about you. I have been a patient of his for over 5 years. He explains everything about my MS and follow up visits very well. But, his nurse Dawn and office manager Jim Brown have been rude, condescending and bullying . They both have control over when and even if I get my medications. I am not the only patient who is having trouble with them. I have been afraid of saying anything but not anymore. What they have said to me is criminal.

A caring Doctor wanting MS patients to get better.

Has the worst staff for such critical care. My wife is treated by dr.laganke. She has difficulty getting someone on the phone to get monthly prescriptions filled.she applied for social security disability in August 20018. She was denied because dr lagankes staff did not provide medical records. Very frustrating to deal with . Laganke my be a good doctor but his staff is a game changer for me. I would not recommend this group to my worst enemy.

I felt well taken care of. I trusted his judgement, because he really cares ! He goes to great lengths to help all his patients !

Dr. Laganke is one of the best doctors I have ever used, He is very knowledgeable with ms and Ido not have to worry about my treatment.Iknow he will always use the treatment that is best for me. He is a great encourager to me and uplift my spirit when I am down. I highly recommend him to any ms. Patients. His Christian nature always comes out which is important to me.

Dr Laganke has helped me with my migraines and chronic shoulder pain for several years. He always willing to listen and offers kindness and understanding.

Its a real shame that a world class specialist like Dr. Laganke has such a small minded, unfriendly, immature, irresponsible staff. They are definitely holding him back and giving him a poor reputation.

I don't see how Dawn ( an office worker) has the power to dictate my meds level, the power to dismiss me as a patient if I complain about her (this is what she told me) and is constantly making light of my condition telling me it's "not as bad as you are letting on." She has everyone terrified to report her, too.

Dr LaGanke is VERY kind and personable and is knowledgeable in his field of medicine. He is currently the expert in the southeastern U.S. on Multiple Sclerosis.

Dr. LaGanke is very compassionate with his patients and about his profession. After being a patient for nearly 2 years, I started having extensive concerns following a car wreck with head and chest injuries. I could see the concern in his eyes when he had to give me a harder diagnosis; and, as if I didn't already know, I knew for a fact I was in the right place and in the right hands. There may be extended waiting at times, but this is because he takes the time needed with patients when additional problems arise, just as I have received myself. Dr. LaGanke is the best MS doctors around. He is kind and caring, and really active in his field. You will wait a LONG time, but that's because he takes time with his patients and won't leave until all your questions and/or concerns are addressed. The nurses downstairs in the infusion center are great too.

Very smart and caring Dr. He truly strives to make each patient live the best life that life has to offer them. We just need like 10 more Dr Laganke due to wait time but I know he is busy and has lots of people to take care of. Thank you Dr Laganke for being there.

Dr. Laganke is wonderful. He truly cares about his patients and any of there concerns, and does all he can for his patients. Why do I feel this way? I have to say, Dr. Laganke is one of my favorite doctors to visit! Not only does he manage my MS, he is a very caring doctor. Not many doctors will take the time to answer a laundry list of questions that you may have. The nurses are easy to talk to, very helpful & they too care about your concerns & health. They respond to phone messages every time you leave one for them. They do their best to get your information & questions to the doctor in a timely manner! Downstairs, in the infusion rooms, the staff members are wonderful! They are very caring, they laugh & joke with you when you need it & want to in order to lift your spirits. I have been waisting away from an undiagnosed neuromuscular disease since Jan 2017. I was misdiagnosed by Laganke in Feb. My condition deteriorated quickly and he has let me decline despite cry's for help. He is only an m.s. specialist. They don't know about neuromuscular diseases. The nurses are rude . My wife was yelled at by the nurses on the phone as she pleaded for help. My wife said" so I guess my husband is just going to die?" The nurse said I guess so. Stay away if you don't have m.s.
