Friendliest doctors office I 've ever been to. Stress free environment. Dr. Plakos explains things well and is patient to answer every question.

Dr. Plakas was amazing with our daughter from our first consult to our final visit. We wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to perform her surgery. I don’t know another doctor that makes himself available on his private phone for his patients, even on a weekend. We were able to get our questions or concerns handled about her recovery at any time of the day. Dr. Plakas and his office staff are outstanding. We are so lucky to have met him. We owe our daughter’s excellent recovery to him!

Dr. Plakas is so kind and patient, and wonderful with kids. He has this way of putting everyone at ease! We used him multiple times, and he was always quick and efficient, and very accessible throughout the whole process. He explained everything to us clearly, and answered all our questions. We were so happy, and lucky to have him treat our kids!

Dr Plakas is an excellent doctor . He went out of his way to meet me in the hospital on a weekend to treat my 2 year old sons elbow. He is very gentle and his office is very well run too.

Dr. Plakas is an amazing Dr. He’s confident, caring, informative & I have complete faith & trust in him. The care for my 10 year old son has been top-notch, and I recommend him any chance I can. He explained everything & was so patient & professional! He was very skilled and had an excellent bedside manner. I had confidence when my son was going into surgery that all would go well. As a scared mom at the hospital, he had so much patience while I asked him every question I could think of. Very easy making follow up appointments & Dr. Plakas is easily accessible.

Dr Plakas and his staff are exceptional and will go out of their way for their patient’s. They have treated both my children and I have been nothing but impressed.

Our experience with doctor Plakas has been excellent. He did a great job taking care of my 14 years old son's fracture of his ankle. Dr Plakas made himself available to perform surgery at midnight on a Sunday. He always replies to our calls, texts or emails in a prompt manner. The office staff is very professional and friendly, there is no waiting time on the appointments. Less than two months later, my son is recovering pretty well.

Dr. Plakas is amazing and would highly recommend him. My daughter broke her am and he came to the hospital and put a cast on her. He was patient and explained the whole process. He talked to her like she is an adult which made her very happy. She is usually doesn't like doctors but she loves him. His Office staff is also amazing with making follow up appointments and answer all my questions. They go above and beyond finding out information for me. so glad we got him and his office.

The staff is amazing here! Dr. Plakas is very good at what he does. We are so happy we found this practice to handle our son's broken arm.

Dr. Plakas took care of my 3 year old and was wonderful! He was very attentive to her and explained all of the options regarding her care clearly to us. He answered any questions thoroughly and allowed us to make an informed decision that was best for our daughter. He saw her through her injury and followed up months after to ensure her full recovery. His staff, like him was always pleasant and very helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Plakas.

Him and his staff are so caring and saw my son immediately when he was hurt. They followed up and he listened like no other doctor I have ever seen. He truly cares about getting his patients better.

My entire experience with dr plakas was great. From the emergency surgery my son had in the hospital, to the follow up visits, i felt so comforted the entire time. I was able to ask as many questions as I wanted. All my emails were responded to very quickly. Even the girls at the front desk were really nice and caring. I was very emotional during all this but knowing my son was in great hands made this process much better. The dr even comforted me during the surgery while I was bawling my eyes out. I felt like he really cared. He talked out the whole process with me. He really is an amazing doctor.

My family has over the last couple of years needed a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. Each and every time, our first call was to DR. Plakas. He is so kind and patient (no pun intended) with each child, I was blown away, and we have been around the block before, as they say. In Lakewood, NJ where I live, he is one of the most respected and referred to Dr. for orthopedics.

My daughter fell and broke her arm the first week of school. I called Dr Plakas office that night and he met us at the hospital in the morning. He was great with daughter who is 5. Explained everything and was very thorough in her. Would highly recommend. The office staff was great with setting up appointments.

Even our son commented, "Dr. Plakas is the best doctor!" He takes the time to explain EVERYTHING with such great detail and gentleness. He is easy to understand and puts things in persepctive. Dr. Plakas replies personally to inquiries and questions, never fails to get to know the child or situation and is thorough, never rushing to something else. Our son has been treated by Dr. Plakas for 3 different fractures and after that first we knew we would always request him as our pediatric orthopedic surgeon!!! will always ask for Dr. Plakas to give his professional and personal input. There should be more doctors like him ou there today!

PATIENT, KIND and RESPONSIVE! My son broke his wrist on July 4th and unfortunately needed surgery. So upsetting, but Dr. Plakas made a stressful time for me and my son a little easier. Dr. Plakas has a great bedside manner. From the first night in the emergency room through the follow up after my son's surgery, Dr. Plakas always went above and beyond. We emailed him several times with questions...day or night, Dr. Plakas would respond very quickly. His staff is also very friendly and accomodating. Thank you for everything, Dr. Plakas!

Dr plakas is the best!!!! My daughter broke her elbow and needed two surgeries. He went above and beyond any dr I have ever used. His patience and the time he took explaining everything to us put all my worries at ease. He was accommodating beyond words. We are from ny and he made it so easy for us to come see him according to my schedule. I could have used a ny dr for her second surgery but after meeting dr plakas and going through a first surgery I would never use another dr even if I live a few hours away my confidence in him was immeasurable!!!

We had the occasion to see Dr Plakas on two separate occasions. One for a surfing injury and once for a bike accident. On both visits he was great. Very receptive to our needs and really cared about our son. He took into consideration our sons desire to return to sports and included it in his diagnosis and treatment plan. I would highly recommend Dr Plakas as well as his staff. Zero wait time, which is almost unfortunate because their offices are great.

Dr. Plakas went above and beyond to help take care of our 4 year old who broke her wrist. He even came in on a Saturday when his office was closed to cast her for us. He answered all of our questions and was so good with making her feel calm and comfortable! We would definitely highly recommend him!

Dr Plakas and his staff were wonderful, from the moment my daughters xrays were sent to his office until her last appointment. He was always responsive, friendly and took his time discussing my daughters case with me. The office is so friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful experience there.

Dr. Plakas & his staff went absolutely above and beyond from start to finish after my daughter fell and broke her ankle on a Sunday evening. The communication, friendliness, bedside manner, knowledge & true feeling of knowing that you're not being viewed as "just another patient" when dealing with Dr. Plakas is something that's simply unmatched. 5 stars just aren't enough to cover the rating that Dr. Plakas and his office deserve and I could not be more thankful that my daughters care was put into his hands.

Dr. Plakas and Hisband staff are great. He gave us options and explained the details when our son had a fracture. He responds to calls and emails very soon and also provided a second opinion to a friend of mine. I would recommend this doctor

Dr Plakas was amazing. He was accommodating, informative, knowledgeable and friendly. He put my son at ease that he would soon be playing sports again. After seeing my son for a follow-up visit, several weeks later he phoned me to see how he was doing and how his wrist was feeling. I’ve never had a doctor ever do that before. Outstanding care for his patience. I highly highly recommend him.

Dr Plakas was great with my son and really tried to make a the process as easy as possible. They also were reasonable to work with regarding a confusing insurance situation.

My five year old fractured her leg, which led us to Jersey Shore ER on a busy Friday night. While she didn't see Dr. Plakas personally while there, he was overseeing her case. The follow-up care she received was second to none. The personal touch of a returned call over the weekend, a friendly and compassionate staff, and Dr. Plakas' bedside manner made this whole experience so much more pleasant than we ever could have imagined. Dr Plakas was fantastic. My son fractured his arm in a bike accident and Dr Plakas met us in the emergency room. Dr Plakus and the staff are amazing! They treated us with the utmost respect and helped my little girl physically and Emotionally as she was going thru her surgeries. Their response time is excellent! You send them a question and they are Right on! Everyone who needs a Pediatric orthopedic Doctor should join their practice They were wonderful kept us posted on everything immediately I'm also helped us to understand and keep calm. His bedside manner is absolutely exceptional!

We had a great experience with Dr. Plakas when my son broke his arm. He called backed within moments of my call to him, read my sons x rays while on the phone and was able to see him right away. He was kind, patient and honest about how certain manipulations would feel, so much so, that my son looked forward to going to see him and was upset when Dr. Plakas said he didn’t need anymore follow-up visits.

Five stars across the board, when my 7 year old son broke his arm completely in half we feared (after our own terrible orthopedic experiences with other drs ) for our sons care, We could not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Plakas he was patient and kind and extremely talented actual words from a X-ray tech in the er tnat day, Dr. Plakas rubs his office with prompt attention he brings a special bedside manner that is hard to find these days, we highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Dr Plakas. He was prompt to respond and available to answer my questions. He actually made a house call on a Saturday to fit my son with a boot to save us a five minute office visit. It’s refreshing to see a physician respectful of your time. He treated my son for a previous injury. I was happy with the care he provided that time as well.

Dr. Plakas has a very gentle demeanor and was very thorough and kind. The office staff was very friendly and always helpful. My son felt very comfortable in this practice, which is important. Overall, it was an impressive experience.

Dr. Plakas is highly recommended by my pediatrician, (and my 9 year old daughter). Dr. Plakas made the experience so pleasant for my daughter. He paid attention to her input, and helped her understand her treatment plan. She came in with tears, and left with a smile (and a cast).

This was our second experience with Dr. Plakas. After getting our son back on track after breaking his leg in 2016, Dr. Plakas was unbelievably accessible and went out of his way to help our son after sustaining a severe shoulder injury in 2017. Although this was not his area of expertise, he walked with us to assist in finding a great surgeon, and even checked with us before and after his surgery to check on his recovery. I can’t praise Dr. Plakas enough for his kindness, care and compassion.
