I actually just signed on to get Dr. Lajam’s information for a friend. Dr. Lajam repaired my knee after I completely tore my ACL in martial arts. It’s been about six years since the surgery and my knee is fine. I’ve had limited residual pain and was able to go back to being active. As far as Dr. Lajam herself, I found her to be warm, with a great sense of humor and willingness to listen. The moment which stands out to me was upon being brought into the OR, she pitched right in and helped to lift me onto the operating table. There was no ego, no giving directives to others, she was merely captain of the team. I’m very thankful to Dr. Lajam for all she did to help me and highly recommend her. I was very impressed with Dr. Lajam! She gave my knee a very thorough examination and she took her time to explain her findings to me. She then surprised me by NOT recommending surgery because in her opinion, "I'm not sure that surgery will solve your problem." She then referred me to another physician who she felt has more experience with my kind of injury. I highly recommend Dr. Lajam!

Dr Lajam is a wonderful surgeon. I had a total knee replacement and it was really effortless after a few days. The surgery went well as did the post care. Dr Lajam is up-to-date on the latest research and procedures, using state of the art equipment. I would not hesitate to recommend her to others without reservations.

Great facade but underneath an arrogant, self righteous liar. Lajam refuses to listen to her patient or to the patient's family's requests. After 4 hip operations, infections, and misinformation, my 82 year old father died after almost 2 years of pain and suffering. Adding insult to injury was the fact that when he complained of extreme pain and an inability to walk he was called "stubborn". When fluid overload overtook his body because Lajam refused to listen to our pleas regarding his history, she blamed everything on my Dad's so-called "previous conditions." The conditions she referred to were a direct result and occurred AFTER she operated, replacing his hip without taking into consideration NUMEROUS pleas to ensure his wound was properly drained. She called our request "science fiction" and after the fourth revision even had the nerve to deny we ever asked her for this! She not only broke my father's body, but also his heart and spirit. He had faith in her, trusted her. As far as my family and I are concerned, she took him from us. In our opinion, he suffered and died a painful death because she just would not listen, did not consider his previous surgical experiences. Dr. Lajam performed double total knee replacements for me in November of 2017- I would highly recommend her! She is knowledgeable, funny and kind, and has a wonderful bedside manner - I felt that I could ask her anything. Rushes appointments, if you even get seen by her. Forget about post-operation after care; she really doesn't want to see you after the surgery. Seems like she only wants to get you on the operating table, and then you're history. Somewhat nice before surgery / rude and condescending after. Thank God she only worked on one knee! And didn't get my knee-cap in the right position, according to another surgeon. It's caused me a lot of undue pain and a very, very long recovery time. Never again!

Dr. Claudette Lajam, MD provided me with a hip replacement. My pain level before the operation was a ten. Now I have no pain in that hip. The scar is fading. I am looking forward to having my other hip done. The X-Rays of the replaced hip show careful and meticulous work. This wonderful doctor treats and cares for the patient as a whole. She had saved my life by insisting I get my lung cancer removed immediately and not wait for immunotherapy.
