Reviews for Connie Hsu
The office staff are incompetent. If you'd like your allergy shot doses administered incorrectly, a lack of responsibility or apology when you point it out, and regular conflicting information between nurses, staff, and front desk people, then I highly recommend this office!
Dr. Hsu traveled from the Phoenix area to Show Low (where I live) once a month. It's a hardship for me to drive 3-4 hours o go to the Valley. I saw Dr. Hsu in SL Oct 2020. Both Dr. Hsu & her nurse were extremely thorough, kind, understanding & compassionate during my appt. They really listened to me as I told them about my 55+ year history w/allergies & immunology. It's great when specialists come to this area bc we don't have many here full time. Dr. Hsu did allergy tests & had me do bloodwork so she could c the results & decide the best course of treatment & then works w/ur PCP so if u need allergy shots, etc, u go to ur PCP to receive them. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
Very experienced Doctor. I suffer from allergies and asthma. They really help you treat underlying problems. Would recommend if you suffer from Allergies in Arizona.
The billing office doesn’t know what they are doing. I told them I had been tested for allergies 6 months prior, and asked if retesting was necessary. They said yes. Now I have a denied claim and they want 600 bucks. I asked what the ABN form was for and it wasn’t explained to me. The medical assistant said I don’t need to worry about that. I ended up signing it. It’s a waiver that I’m responsible for payment when my insurance denies for pretty much any reason. The billing practices are shady . I’m not getting treatment because the staff doesn’t know what they are doing. I needed to switch doctors because I’m moved 50 miles away from my old allergist. I did my due diligence and went in network. I’m going to end up owing them based on the negligence of this office. Don’t go here.
My visit with Dr Hsu could not have been better! My primary physician has been treating me for allergies but nothing like Dr Hsu. In the first visit she was able to pinpoint the origin of the allergies. Gave me medication that was spot on. She did the scratch test and blood work was drawn immediately to check further. I could not be more pleased.

I went for the initial consultation today. The staff was kind. I was called as soon as I filled out the new patient paperwork. After they checked my weight, I met with the PA, Christina, who asked me several questions and performed an initial exam that consisted of my sinus areas (forehead, under eyes) She also checked my ears, nose, lymph notes etc. Dr. Hsu came in a few minutes later. She discussed my allergies, symptoms and treatments in a way that I could understand. I left the office fully informed about my symptoms and the treatments. By the time I arrived home, I received a text from my pharmacy advising that my prescriptions were ready. I also received a text message with my next appointment reminder. I was referred by my PCP. The office contacted me immediately to set up an appointment and worked with my schedule too! The staff is professional at both locations that I have visited. Connie was very patient with my questions, explained everything in depth. Connie is very knowledgeable and had a plan of care for my allergies right away.
I reside in Pinetop and saw Dr Hsu in Show Low on 2/21/20 for chronic dry cough. The appt went fine but my aftercare was terrible by her & staff with exception of gal that answers phone. Over a 6 week period I called the office 5 times, left msgs on back office voice mail regarding test results. I finally set a telemedicine appt with Dr Hsu for 3/24. She prescribed a medication that I was told by pharmacy she wasn’t licensed to prescribe so it wasn’t filled. I feel my care was not professional by staff or the doctor and would not refer anyone to that office. I shared my experience with the office mgr in hopes these actions will not be the same for other patients.
I Highly recommend Dr. Hsu she is amazing and truly cares. Her NP Dana is just as amazing. She I had very little wait time. She totally exceeded my expectations with trying to find the cause of my problems.
She's professional, caring, and very knowledgeable.
I went there for my first visit,in bad shape with asthma.I requested a nebulizer prescription right away to improve my breathing. After 3 calls, still nothing.Had to call my doctor to get the next morning.Over $1,000 for the initial visit, really?Thank god for insurance.I would not recommend you going there.
I read the reviews before writing this and it's a common theme to be billed incorrectly. I got an incorrect bill and brought it into the office. It had charges on there that I paid in the office and charges for $60 that were suppsoe to be $15. I was assured they would fix it. I then got another bill and was again assured they knew it was a mistake. I then get a collection notice. I dealt with Maria in billing who I kept have to repeat my story too and follow up with. She fixed some of the charges but due to not fully listening fell short and didn't fix all the charges. I even had to provide receipts to prove I paid some of the charges on my bill. Luckily, I kept them. I then got done with dealing with her and insisted on someone else. I then got a lady named Terry. They helped some but I still have a $60 charge with a bill collector that should be $15. I have spent at least 8 hours dealing with them and getting the run around on how it isn't there fault but their billers fault. As far as I am concerned, it's IMS's fault for providing the wrong pricing. I continue to waste my time and theirs but I will not give them more money then what is due. I am not sure why they just won't fix it instead of wasting everyone's time over $15. I read the reviews before writing this and it's a common theme to be billed incorrectly. I received regular injections for year round allergy's for years. I have only dealt with Dr Connie Hsu's PAs and have never seen Dr Hsu in person. I began to get the feeling I was there just for the injections and the cash that they brought in. I have since found another practitioner and have had much better care and results. Even after telling Dr Hsu's office I would no longer be a patent Dr Hsu still bills me for injections I never received. I received regular injections for year round allergy's for years. I scheduled an appointment to get tested, I followed all directions given to get tested and went to my appointment on a Friday, they sent me home and told me to come back on Monday. I received 2 bills, one for Friday and one For Monday. All prescriptions they gave me were order to the maximum cost, and these medications are available to a fraction of a cost. I realized this due to a friend from church. My insurance was billed hundreds and I was paying high price on my meds and that could've been generic. There is a commission scam between the Dr. and the pharmacy rep. in this establishment. Don't waste your time and money. Office staff refused to schedule appt without authorization despite a waiver from the insurance(tricare) stating that preauthorization was waived. Offered to guarantee payment as private pay if insurance declined and still refused to schedule. Seems they are more interested in money than patients. Was able to schedule with another allergist without any problem.
I saw Dr Hsu,, to treat severe hives that I’ve been suffering for the last 14 years. After 1st office visit and follow up she figure out what am I allergic to. I have seeing so many specialist no one had figure it out what I am allergic to. Very happy with Dr. Hsu(s) results and the office staff are awesome... Pauline Youkhana
The company bills you incorrectly. I had to provide receipts proving I paid after receiving an incorrect bill. My shots are suppose to be $15 but they tried to charge me $60. I said I would pay once the amount was correct. They admitted it was wrong. My account is now at collections due the company's unwillingness to fix their mistakes. They fixed some of the charges but not one of the $60 charges. Then incorrectly reported my account to collections and now it is apparently my job to fix it.
Been going for about 3 years. Have only had one follow up to even ask about progress and only one actual meeting with the doctor. The main issue is the over billing. The have a negotiated rate with the insurance company but then over charge you hundreds of dollars and try to get you to pay it.

I was seen a year ago for hives due to stress and this year they came back worse, they could only set up something in 2 weeks. I called to see if they could send meds to my pharmacy and no one ever got back to me, i went to urgent care and later called and left a message to the dr on call and no one ever got back to me. They dont care about their parients, dont waste your time here. I was seen a year ago for hives due to stress and this year they came back worse, they could only set up something in 2 weeks. Dr Chu is great however, her office staff and phone receptionist are terrible. Don't know what has happened but something has changed. No one knows how to handle simple things- always we have to get back to you- which never happens. My family and I would totally change offices but we have too much invested in this one with serums and follow up visits.
I tried allergies injections in the past and was getting no relief, so I stopped. I was constantly getting ear infections, upper respiratory infection and bronchitis and overall unhealthy. I was recommended to see Dr.Connie Hsu. I was impressed with the questions she was asking me about my general health. She ordered blood work to see if there was an underlying cause as to why I constantly sick. She found I have Immune Deficiency. She started me on medication. l am healthy now, thanks to her.
