I’ve had 3 surgeries with Dr. Thigpen over a 10 year period including both bunions and an OCD lesion repair to my ankle. All of my recoveries went well. He make very tidy incisions that heal so beautifully. My broken ankle was a bit of a mess but he cleaned it up and it’s pain free. He's a popular guy so you may a wait but it’s worth it. All of the support staff in his office are friendly and knowledgable.

The provider listen to everything I was saying. He repeated things I said to let me know he was listening. He was polite asked questions and seemed concerned.

Had a total knee replacement 6 October 2020. Dr Thigpen took excellent care of me and I had a positive recovery.

Dr.Thigpen is the greatest.Did my ankle fusion last September and I would highly recommend him or any of the doctors at Augusta Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.All of the Doctors there are excellent. and their PA"s or the best. I highly recommend this practice.

No concern for patient issues. Not remotely concerned with appointment times - clearly operated as if they are suggestions. .Very rude, engages in "elitist" dialogue with patients. Lazy and unmotivated in addressing actual, remarkable medical issues pertaining to the foot (his specialty?). No regard for patient confidentiality. Makes medical diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on his perception of patients' socio-economic status.

I have never met such an insensitive jerk as dr. Thigpen...I was in pain dealing with neuropathy which i have never had before..he looked at my chart and said "the neurologist said your nerves are fine"I began to tell him that i was in a great deal of pain ,before i could get that out of my mouth, he looked down at my 2 inch wedge shoes and said "those probably dont help your situation...I started to cry, he turned to leave saying "try pain management." Never even offered me a kleenex.CREEP!

Great Dr. takes time to explain your condition. Dr. Thigpen makes you comfortable, the folks who work there from A-Z are the best. I have already recommended Dr. Thigpen and 2 of my friends are now seeing Dr. Thigpen.

Dr. Thigpen has performed several surgeries on me in the past 10 years and I have never had a bad experience afterward. I think he is a very capable and personable physician. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of an orthopedic doctor.
