Dr. Cordell Mitchell

My first time experience yesterday was UNpleasant. The ultrasound tech did not show me the heart beat, her replies to my comments and questions were ironically and she placed my ultrasound copies/pictures on the sitting part of a chair for me to grab from there. Hopefully i have a good experience with the doctor. Edit 9 months PP. Doctor is sweet, but Im 40, and when you need more than just fetus heart beats and gestational D, does not meet the needs. Doctor Michael is a good doctor, the problem are his staff!!!I had my frist baby with him,now I am pregnant and I don't want to comeback with him because of the bad attendance of his staff!!!I found a better place with good attendance and doctor. 3 stars to the doctor and 0 star for the staff.

I’m currently going to Dr.Mitchell now.He delivered all of my mother kids (including myself) . Whenever I have a concern he doesn’t make me wait weeks for an appointment he tells me to come in soon as I can.

Great dr ! He listen and very honest and took good care of me through all my pregnancy and deliveries .

Dr. Mitchell is great he delivered me 24 years ago, he delivered all of my siblings, and most of my cousins. Now I go to him and he helped me so much just from one visit. God is good.

He is a joke not a professional. Don’t be fooled by the reviews like I was. See someone else.

I love Dr.Mitchell, he is very personable and courteous. HIS STAFF HOWEVER is so rude. The 2 ladies at the front desk are very blunt/short in tone, and sarcastic. The follow up from them is terrible, communication is awful, and if you ask them a question they act as if you are bothering them. I typically used to deal with Shanda (not sure if that’s spelled correctly) but i haven't seen her my last few visits. Over all, very very annoyed and unimpressed with the staff. I LOVEEEEEE Dr. Mitchell I have been going to him since 2013 he delivered my youngest son and I do all my follow up well women visit weigh loss program etc.. I am comfortable with him he is soooo humble and loving very knowledgeable and I wouldn't trade him for the world staff there are very friendly,. l used this OBGYN with my first son and decided to try again. I have two children and my husband came with me and they advised my children and him would need to sit in the car. WHAT?! What if I was a single mom and didn’t have someone to watch my kids? I understand the COVID thing but in the same breath, that is RIDICULOUS. Highly recommended very professional and knowledgeable and caring staff

Lady at front desk does not know what she is doing. I made an appointment just to show up to it and be told I was not on schedule to show up the following day (even though we spoke 3 times on the phone before my appointment confirming it, voice-mails and all), also this was 40mins after waiting to be checked in, totally forgot about me, I had to go to her and tell her I had not been checked in once she checked in a lady that came after me. Showed up the next day and I was again told I was not on scheduled until the next week... I spoke to some other lady that was there and she got me checked in and told her if she took a look at her notes it said there, she forgot to enter me on the schedule all those 3times on the phone and she I guess kept taking notes, on top of all this they asked if I was there for my pregnancy check even though I've never in my life been pregnant, so they mixed my files I'm guessing... Also they do not like to take any insurance even if your insurance covers basic fertility treatments they try to tell you they dont LOL, mind you I have not even started on any treatment with him, yet they tried to charge it as one.. Then when I saw the doctor he did not remembered me on my second appointment nor did he seem to be having a good day, he did not know I was on the medication that himself prescribed me.. asked who had put me on it? And are you trying to conceive? Like hello read your notes from last appointment or something.. Told me I will see you in 3 months and did not gave me enough refill for those 3months. Also I got a message and email saying I had an appointment after this one even though I never even scheduled one specially after this horrible experience, all happened when the front desk lady did not know what she was doing and booked me for the wrong day since the beginning of all this chaos. Anyway I called to cancel it, was told it was taken cared of.. two days later another text message saying my appointment was coming up.. the same one I called to have cancelled and the same one I never even made.. really bad experience. My mom had recommended him because he took out some tumor but that was years ago, I still had high expectations, definitely let down big time! I feel like this place just wants money and cares little about their patients. Only nice lady was the nurse who took me to the room and even remembered who I was. Thank you nice lady. Dr. Mitchell has delivered all my children, honestly the sweetest kindest man. And the office staff is wonderful as well. Happy customer since 2014

Dr. Mitchell delivered 2 of my kids and he obviously made an impression that I decided to look him up almost 6 years later. He was personable and listened to any issues I had regardless of how small. Note that I was quite dramatic and didn't listen. I'm so glad to see that he's still practicing.:-)

I love Dr.Mitchell and appreciate his staff. I can't believe people are giving him bad reviews. I know you might have to wait but the wait is definitely worth it! What an easy going Dr. you feel comfortable when expressing your concerns and needs.

I have been going to Dr. Mitchell for over 20 years now. He has seen me through 4 pregnancies and some of the hardest times of my life. He is caring and patient and always addresses my concerns. He is more than just a doctor, we consider him family. I am eternally grateful to you Dr. Mitchell.

Great doctor! He's been treating me since I was 16, now 28. He treats most of the women in my family. Delivered my first daughter in September of 2019. Any time I need an appointment his staff accommodates me as best as possible. He listens to my concerns and tries to help out as best as he can. Very satisfied with my experience here :)

Dr. Mitchell is the best doctor I have ever encountered. His knowledge, expertise and kindness made me feel comfortable from the moment I had my first appointment through delivery and follow up visits. I did not have the easiest process of delivery but that was entirely my body not cooperating. He made well thought out decisions and delivered me a beautiful, healthy little girl. I ended up getting a C-section which saved my baby’s life and is a wonderful surgeon. I hope that he is still delivering babies when I decide to have my second/third/maybe even fourth baby. I RECOMMEND Dr. Mitchell a million times and then a million times again! His staff is also VERY friendly which is quite hard to find at any doctors office these days. Dr. Mitchell has been my gynecologist for years and he has always been so attentive and professional. I started his weight loss treatment a couple of months ago and I'm amazed by the result!!

I have been going to Dr. Mitch since I was a teenager. In fact, my mom and sisters go to him. I love that he always takes his time! I definitely recommend him! I Also, try the Hydrafacial at the medspa! It was cleared up all my pimples :)

Dr. Mitchell and is staff are very nice and helpful. Dr. Mitchell treated me with respect, he addressed my concerns and followed up after my procedure. I highly recommend him for all your gyn needs.

I adore Dr. Mitchell. He was the doctor I went to as a second opinion after the first ob/gyn I saw told me I likely had adenomyosis, a condition that would have likely resulted in a hysterectomy, and said that if I want kids, I should start soon. Dr. Mitchell's first response to that was to do a pelvic MRI to check for adenomyosis and I was clean. He is friendly, professional, and I feel comfortable with him, which is unusual for me to feel comfortable with a man as my ob/gyn. He is very gentle, which is disturbingly hard to find in this profession and very much appreciated. The only downside to this office is that he seems to frequently run a bit behind schedule and I have waited about an hour past my appointment time a few times. However, this is due to the attention he pays to his patients, so waiting that hour is worth it. Just make sure the rest of your day is clear after your appointment. I adore Dr. Mitchell. Let me start of by saying that I love Dr. Mitchell! During my first pregnancy, I was so nervous, but Dr. Mitchell quickly put my mind at ease. He always took his time to thoroughly explain my health and pregnancy status. I am glad to say that my baby boy was born a happy and healthy. Thank you Dr. Mitchell!

If I could give this office no stars I would but unfortunately to give a review you have to select one. If your willing to have the receptionist hang up on you because you have to do their job this is the place to be. If you want to remind nurses to call the lab for your results and wait over a month and a half for your results then again this is the place to go. Not only did I request an iud for over a month and a half for an iud after my baby I still landed with no iud even after my insurance approved it all because this office did not want to order it and then get paid after. This place is a complete joke. Don’t Waste your time. Beyond unprofessional is not even the word to describe this office. I Love Dr. Mitchell

Dr Mitchell is awesome and his staff super kind.

He was awesome and when ever I needed him during both pregnancies all I had to do was pick up the phone. Made sure during visits he made sure he listened and addressed every question. Love him!

Dr. Mitchell delivered all of my 4 children, from my almost 15 to my 2 yr old and I tell you that he never dissapointed me. He always took his time with me and with my concerns and always made sure that my peace of mind was intact. I’m forever grateful, I had 3 natural birth and one C-section with my last one because she wouldn’t budge and my c-section scar looks beautiful..! I called to make sure they accepted high risk patients (says so on the website) just to be sure. The receptionist says yes and we preceed and confirm appointment. I go to my appointment and after seeing the nurse and going through my history of high risk she tells me where I need to go to do labs and then comes back in and tells me that due to me being high risk the doctor won't see me. You have to wait 1:30 minutes to see the doctor, when I asked if it will take longer the front desk receptionist asked me if I wanted to reschedule my appointment. I had to come back next week for an exam and when I was there the front desk receptionist said: I'm sorry the person is not coming today..... then why do I have an appointment for today? And finally they sent the wrong information to my insurance and now I'm responsible to pay for preventive exams. Please don't to this place. Save yourself a headache and bad experience. I was highly recommend to see Dr. Mitchell, and due to all the good reviews I have no doubt he is a great doctor. But his front desk staff is a big turn off if it is your first time calling to make an appointment. The lady was rude, short in her answers and practically hung up on me when I asked her to give me a moment to verify a date in my Planner. This is my third child he is going to deliver but with every pregnancy I would schedule my next appointment while still in the office just to show up for the appointment later and find out it was never scheduled and if they are able to squeeze you in you have a extremely long wait ahead of you. I have been going to Dr. Cordell Mitchell for over 15 years now and he is the best in the Orlando area. I used to live near his office, now I live over an hour away and he is still worth the drive. His staff could and should be a little more friendlier because customer service now days is everything!

This office is a nightmare with submitting what they're supposed to to insurance companies. They close early frequently without notice and shut their phones off up to an hour before they close all the time. Very difficult office

I love Dr. Mitchell ! He delivered my baby in 2012. He is an amazing doctor. This was my first pregnancy so I had a lot of questions & he answered all of them with the best answer possible he always made me feel comfortable & their was no stupid question. Now his staff on the other hand could be a lot friendlier.

I am about to go for my last pregnancy visit (well, postpartum), and I must say, Dr. Mitchell is the BEST doctor I have ever been treated by! During Labor & Delivery, he paid attention to every little detail and made sure my baby came out healthy, and that I came out healthy. I am so thankful that he was recommended to me.
