Corey was very informative and knew what questions to ask. He manipulated my hip to show muscular inflammation and not joint pain. He double booked my appointment to squeeze me into his schedule to get an early diagnosis.

He put in a new hip. Almost a miracle. I had no hip pain. I think the pain I had in my thigh was bruised muscles that he moved. In one week I used no help apparatus, had no pain and felt healed. My hip is like it was in my 20’s. The whole experience was totally positive. He gave me back my life!!

I recently saw Dr. Rothrock for left hip pain. After x-rays he determined I would get relief from a steroid injection, as the hip wasn’t ready to be replaced. The shot worked, and the pain was gone. I did have my right hip anteriorly replaced a few years ago. The surgery was a complete success, recovery quick, and was one of the best things I’ve done. Dr. Rothrock always spends with me, and really listens to my symptoms, and gets to the bottom of things. He really cares about his patients, and it shows in his excellent bedside manner. I would recommend Dr. Rothrock with absolutely no reservation. We are lucky to have such a fine physician in our city.

I was very happy with the way the staff treated me and kept me informed of the process. I recovered and was able to do most normal activities in about thirty days.

I had my right knee replaced last November, and my left knee replaced in May of this year. Both replacements went very well, better than others that I talked to that had other surgeons. I appreciate his honesty and sincerity. I feel he will do what is best for me. His staff is wonderful as well. I appreciate their helpfulness. Hopefully I never need a hip surgery, but if I do, I know who I will call.

Dr. Rothrock replaced my hip three years ago and I was amazed at how quickly I recuperated. Last month I had a knee replaced, again by Dr. Rothrock, and am healing well. He keeps up-to-date on the latest methods to make healing go well with less pain. Dr. Rothrock is very professional but also down-to-earth in dealing with his patients and their relatives. Dr Rothrock provided excellent service. I had a tumor on the right socket of my hip. Looking at the xrays and scans I had my doubts if it could be fixed., I had a consultation with Dr Rothrock at their Brookings outreach clinic. He looked at the xrays and said, "I can fix that. " I was extremely relieved. The surgery went well and we are both pleased with the results. I went from a walker to a cane and now do a lot of walking independently. Dr Rothrock and his staff were friendly and professional. He gave me back my mobility and independence for which I am extremely grateful. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Rothrock and the entire staff at the Orthopedic Institute, where I had Left Anterior Hip Replacement Surgery done, were fantastic! Dr. Rothrock showed me my x-ray's within 15 minutes of having them taken at my original visit, we discussed my options & he answered the many questions I had and made me feel completely at ease in my decision to have the surgery done. The surgery was scheduled to be done 2 weeks later, on the day of the surgery something unexpected came up and the staff gave me the option to postpone the surgery, which I did, not only were they very gracious about the situation, but they called me to reschedule that same day & I was able to have the surgery done a week later. Dr. Rothrock came in to see me just before my surgery to answer any questions and the surgery went perfectly. My wife was even able to stay in my room overnight which made my hospital stay and recovery that much easier. If you need any procedures done that Dr. Rothrock offers, look no further!

Dr. Rothrock performed a partial right knee operation several weeks ago. I had dealt with him on a hip replacement 7 years ago so knew what to expect and was not surprised. He explained everything to me prior to and after surgery and made sure that all my questions were answered. His staff and the employees at the SFSH were amazing as well. He is a Dr. that takes his skills to the highest level and keeps up with new and advanced procedures, which can cut down on recovery time as well as increase overall patient satisfaction. I have given many friends and family his name when asked who I would recommend for their surgical needs and will continue to do so. I should also mention that this was done at a time COVID 19 was impacting our country and it was very comforting to see what types of procedures were taken to assure the safety of patients.

I knew going into my appointment Dr Rothrock was so highly rated as a hip surgeon and once I met him I could tell I would be in great hands. He is so knowledgeable, confident and caring. He made me very at ease about going into my hip surgery.

I heard about Dr Rothrock from my brother and a friend and both had nothing but good things to say. So I needed a TKR so I went to see Dr Rothrock he showed me the xrays and answered all my questions that I had. Very professional and took his time so that I understood everything that was going to happen. His staff at OI and the staff at the Specialty Hospital couldn’t have done anything else to make my surgery any more successful than it turned out. Thank You

Dr.Rothrock was professional, direct in a great way, answered questions I wasn’t able to formulate, and 100% honest about my knee that had been “brushed over” by several other Doctors, as there is nothing wrong. When it was necessary to do a complete knee replacement for both my left and right knees the right has been completed the left will be scheduled as soon as possible.

I met Dr. Rothrock in 2012 when he had to fix my broken femur due to a bicycle accident. He did an excellent job and has been great when I’ve seen him since for other problems. I would highly recommend him to anyone who asked me about who to see for an orthopedic problem.

This dr. Is top notch. Alway professional. Never once did I have a bad experience. My cancer is gone six years because of this man. No question is a dumb question. God bless him.

AWESOME except my personal waiting room was freezing

Dr. Rothrock has performed several joint replacements for both of us. Before the first replacement we researched Dr. Rothrock and his procedure. We have been exceedingly satisfied with both the quick recoveries and the ongoing results. We believe Dr. Rothrock is a very conscientious and compassionate doctor.

Based on a friends referral I drove up from Central Nebraska for a consultation regarding a Hip replacement with Dr. Corey Rothrock. My concern about the decision to travel to Sioux Falls and have my procedure done there was quickly laid to rest upon meeting Dr. Rothrock. He took the time to answer any and all of my questions regarding the procedure along with what to expect post surgery and through the recovery process. My comfort level after that one appointment made my decision very easy. I left knowing that I made the right decision to travel and easily chose Dr. Rothrock as the right person for me. From that appointment through my procedure, every staff person I met during my stay from registration, pre surgery, post surgery, my nurses, physicians assistants, and therapists were awesome. We have been patients of OI in the past and have always had a very positive experience and our recent one was no different. The staff is always pleasant as are the doctors and nurses. We are seen in a timely manner. Even the valet's are very helpful in getting the patient in and out of the vehicle. We would highly recommend OI and Dr. Rothrock.

Went to Dr. Rothrock to have my right knee examined for problems. Knee was rebuilt 20 years ago. He was very professional, definitely cares for his patients. A couple of years ago, I went to my personal doctor, concerned about pain in my hip and down my leg and to my foot. Dr. said it's arthritis and prescribed me Meloxicam for the pain.The pain kept getting worse. My friends noticed my limp and told me I should get a second opinion.They also told me about the Orthopedic Institute and Dr. Rothrock and what an amazing job he had done for them. I went to Dr. Rothrock, we took x-rays,etc and determined hip is bone on bone and needs total hip replacement. Dr. Rockrock did the procedure at Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital and did a great job. Now I feel like a new man. I haven't felt this good in 10 years! I can't thank Dr. Rothrock enough,from the front desk, to the nurses,the specialists,etc everyone I saw was friendly,informative,and upbeat. I no longer have pain in hip,leg,or foot! Thank you to Orthopedic Institute and Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital! I have my life back again. So glad I had a second opinion !!!
