Terrific answered all my questions and on time

I saw Dr Lareau, Tuesday February 28th. My ankle replacement surgery is happening soon. I had questions and he answered all of them putting my mind at ease. His secretary is also helpful and nice. This entire place is amazing. I love the ortho store and they have everything right there and it's so convenient. Dr Lareau and his staff are the very best and I would highly recommend them. This was my review in November of 2022. Dr. Lareau was very nice and explained the ankle replacement surgery in detail. He and his staff also assisted in finding me a much better ankle brace. The brace is awesome. Dr. Lareau is an expert and very knowledgeable about ankle replacement surgery. Apparently, I chose the perfect doctor to see about my ankle. Thanks so much to him and the staff at NEOS. They are awesome. I would highly recommend them.

Dr Lareau is awesome. He explained all of my options and made recomendation to my condition.

Dr Lareau did my foot surgery. I am pleased with the outcome and am able to walk and stand longer and without pain. Dr Lareau was professional, kind and took time to explain everything so I understood .

Ankle replacement surgery

NEOS is a great place for ortho needs. Plenty of doctors and nurses. On-site orthopedic supplies. Very good to work with when filling out paperwork for medical leave or whatever. The only negative is how busy they are which causes a packed parking lot and tons of people walking around I side the building. Wicked easy location to get to as it is right off 91. I would recommend them to anyone on western Mass.

Always caring and understanding

Dr. Lareau was very thorough in explaining my upcoming surgery.

Had an awesome staff of Nurses and Doctors (Medical Staff) who answered all my questions and also addressed my concerns regarding my Achilles surgery! They were very courteous and professional I would highly recommend this hospital to anybody in need of an orthopedic surgeon.

This was my first experience with Dr Lareau. He is direct and to the point but with sensitivity and kindness. Appriecated. I also received injections, he was gentle and the result has been excellent! Thank you

Dr. Lareau was very professional and took his time to explain the results of my x-ray with me. I would highly recommend him to anyone with a foot injury.

As an active person, a ruptured achilleas is literally life changing. New England Ortho was able to have me to be seen by Dr. Lareau within 24hrs and Dr. Lareau worked me into surgery the following day. He was straight forward and answered all my questions. Dr. Lareau was able to successfully reattach my tendon through a very small incision. Recovery time for this injury is a long 12 months. I just finished my 6 month checkup and am just starting to return to a semi active life. I am grateful for every improvement and am on track for a full recovery. Thank you Dr. Lareau for giving me back the use of my leg. I hope to never need your services again but I am glad you're there.

always in a rush.rushed my examination. rushed to have me get surgery. rushed my recovery. rushed my return to work without even examining my whole foot after a bad accident. when i explained i wasnt ready to go back to work because of the weakness in leg from not walking for 6weeks and lingering pain concerns of my entire foot not just the one area he basically shrugged it off after doing surgery on the one toe. i requested a couple more days for recovery and he changed my light duty to full time just because i requested 4 more days of recover. he moves so fast i wasnt able to explain all my pain so he only honed in on my first initial complaint showing no care for anything else. i badly stumped my entire foot on the job and my entire foot was not examined only one toe even though i complained of other area pain as well which i wasnt able to initially because he moves so fast so now he shrugs off any complaint i have outside of the toe he did surgery on i never received a full foot mri just was immediately recommended surgery. he convinced me into surgery by telling me my mallet toe fusion would fuse my toe where itll never bend again in the mallet area but i wouldnt have pain but it’s actually in more pain and discomfort then before and now i have to deal with the stiffness from the fusion, the possibly he gave me a surgery i might not have needed and also the fact he may have missed something because an mri was never done to make sure my whole foot was ok. just a terrible experience altogether. i do not recommend this doctor to anyone. always in a rush.rushed my examination. rushed to have me get surgery. rushed my recovery. rushed my return to work without even examining my whole foot after a bad accident. when i explained i wasnt ready to go back to work because of the … More

Dr. Lareau is very good answers any questions and wants better results for you then you yourself expect

Dr. Lareau is a very knowledgeable, professional, experienced and kind surgeon. I am thrilled to be putting 3+ years of pain and struggles behind me thanks to his expertise!

I had a great experience with Dr. Lareau. I feel he is and will continue to be able to help me with the issue I am having with foot/ankle. Personable. Definitely recommend.

Dr Lareau was very kind, considerate & informative. He took the time to explain exactly what was going on with my foot. I really liked him & felt very comfortable. My appointment wasn’t rushed. I would highly recommend Dr Lareau.

Dr. Lareau performed the minimally invasive bunion surgery on me 6 months ago. I am practically back to normal, going for walks, hiking and doing yoga. Looking at my foot you wouldn’t even know I had surgery. The pain was never anything like the pain I had prior to surgery. At most my foot would ache if I was over doing it. I highly recommend this doctor and this surgery to anyone suffering with painful bunions.

Dr. Lareau was very informative. My husband & I both really liked him. Felt very comfortable with him. He was very caring and explained everything so well. Very pleased with Dr. Lareau.

Timely, professional, pleasant . Very nice physician. You could see that he truly cares about the wellbeing and comfort of his patients.

Amazing Doctor. Caring, considerate and extremely capable. Had ankle surgery, everything went as planned. Very impressed with how Dr Lareau stitched the incision, 3 months out and the scar is light and smooth!!!

The entire facility is well-managed. Dr. Lareau did an excellent job on my insertional Achilles tendon repair. He’s an excellent surgeon; a good listener; and very personable. I highly recommend him

I found Dr. Lareau very likeable and informative. He explained the surgery to me and listened to all of my questions and more. Awesome! Super efficient! Dr L is brilliant and truly wants to help. So accommodating. His assistant, Sue, is AMAZING!!!! Thorough follow up. So impressed!!! I’ll recommend them without hesitation!

Excellent communications

Dr. Lareau is great.. Thorough, kind, an amazing surgeon. I am so very fortunate that I was referred to him from my local Orthopedic. I wasn't getting the answers I needed where I live... And now everything is being dealt with and explained by Dr. Lareau and his PA James Vreeland. I just wish they were closer to me!! I'm 2 hours away. But the travel is SOOOO with it!!

Dr. Lareau is apparently a very good surgeon but was not very forthcoming with information during this consultation, made light of my concerns about the side effects of a medication, and seemed to be in a hurry to get to the next patient. I barely had time to get all of my questions answered. I was not impressed with the Covid-19 precautions of the office or medical staff--mask off the nose of the receptionist, no sanitizer available for the return of my credit card or use of a pen, did not see the doctor wash his hands or use sanitizer before or after examining my ankle. Upon meeting Dr.Lareau I felt as though he was running late and had to get to the next patient. I felt as though he were rushing through his explanation of what he would do to my foot surgically although he did quickly draw a foot and what he would do to my toes however he never said non weight bearing (or that I was going to get a nerve block which included several spots on the back of my leg for my left foot) for two weeks and that I would need crutches or a walker- (the nurses in the surgical center were very kind and showed me how to use a walker but after surgery you are wheeled out in a wheelchair so I never got a chance to see if I could use either) -and I didn’t realize it until after my surgery that I wouldn’t be able to use my foot at all and it was in a soft cast I wasn’t aware of that either (my foot being in a soft cast) and that I would be in a walking cast for three weeks! Also I arrived early to the surgical center at 7:00 am and my time was 7:15 am however the registration staff couldn’t figure something out to register me and I was 15 min late getting upstairs to the surgery center and when Dr. Lareau came in to draw on my foot what he was going to do surgically he made several comments about me being late and when I said it was the registration desk he looked sideways at me as though I were five and stole a pack of gum and needed to be punished! I didn’t appreciate that!! I’m almost a week out and I have to say that his assistant, Debbie is Wonderful! She has helped me tremendously and even helping me to get a knee scooter because I can’t use crutches or a walker. I’m also not seeing Dr. Lareau on my post op visit so I won’t have another visit to see if he is as good as all these other people say he is.so to be clear I have had two very, very quick encounters with Dr. Lareau and they were very rushed, judgmental and rude! I was completely comfortable with Dr. Lareau for a first visit, soft spoken, takes his time & didn't rushed & listens to answer any concerns. I would recommend him.
