Dr Schmidtke is a good guy I had no problems with my extraction and implant, would highly recommend.

On April the 18th I got both of my wisdom teeth removed. I was supposed to be put to sleep . Didn't never received the medication to be put to sleep. So Dr. Craig pulled my wisdom teeth while I felt the pain. The worst experience I ever received.

My husband and I have been using Dr. Schmidtke's office for years now. The staff is great and easy to talk to. Everyone always answers our questions in an easy and understanding manner.

Very friendly surgeon, I had to get my wisdom teeth removed and was very nervous but he made me feel much more comfortable and the surgery went great. It was a very pleasant experience (as pleasant as getting your teeth pulled can be anyways) BUT it is very expensive if you dont have dental insurance. I paid a little over 1,000 dollars for 2 wisdom teeth to be pulled. I have been to this office in 2020 and again in 2021. The Doctor and staff is very friendly. Dr Schmidtke had to extract two molars and he was so gentle that I did not have any problems with the extractions. I would highly recommend him.

My first and my last time coming to this place. Dr and his assistant were very welcoming and nice they helped calm my nerves for the surgery. I was excited to schedule my surgery and to get it all over with BUT at the check out that changed everything. Kandace the women that was very rude and unhelpful had the wrong insurance under my profile. I tried to explain to her that she had the wrong insurance. She would not listen to me I guess because she had already got my money so nothing I had to say mattered anymore. The women with the very long hair approach me and said I told her Humana was my insurance which had never come out of my mouth. All I wanted to do was make sure they had the right insurance but they would not listen to me. It was a very disappointing experience. My mother saw him for an extraction, he pulled her tooth before the numbing took effect. She told him to stop and HE DIDNT STOP. Would not recommend to anyone, you might as well pull your own tooth.

My experience was horrible, first of all the entire staff in the front office wrre awesome very respectful. On the other hand his assistant was very rude not saying anything to me other than telling me what she wanted me to know. I had to pay for my services cash. Once I got the shot in my mouth he didn't wait long enough to do my extraction because I was feeling the pain. I was trying to let him know but he said not much longer he was getting infection out would not let up period. I left out that office in tears. He did call the next day to check on me I wanted nothing else to do with that man. It's been 6 to 7 months ago and I have no feeling in my bottom jaw and have of my lip on the left side of my face. This guy is fantastic. He also has an amazing and well trained staff. I would not go anywhere else. I had zero issue and very very little pain. Highly recommend!! Absolutely the best there is. Worth driving in from out of town.

Wonderful place to go and get your wisdom teeth extracted... I was nervous at first but overall great experience. He also called that afternoon to check on me which was wonderful.

Called and left a message. Voice mail said I would get a return call back by end of day. Waited a full 24 hours.. called back in.

Did not stop pulling tooth when he was told it was not numb. Would not recommend to worst enemy.

He is extremely skilled, professional, polite, and personable! I would definitely recommend him to others!

Have to give this Dentist a five star and his staff!!! Very helpful, and very nice, made the having to get two bottom molars cut out less stressful...

He did a great job and I healed quickly from my wisdom teeth extraction. Called me that night to check on me. I wish he could have helped my TMJ issues but I was happy with my extraction experience!

This was my second surgery with Dr Schmidtke and as the previous time every thing was performed flawlessly on a difficult tooth extraction, hardly any discomfort after the surgery. Thank you very much Dr Schmidtke, your skills are certainly at the top of your profession.

This man is so good. He's like the Jedi master of dentists and surgeons. I have a resistance to numbing stuff with my teeth but he had no issue numbing them completely. I went in with a completely hollow tooth with exposed nerves, he told me he would have to break the tooth to get it out, I didn't feel anything because he's super precise and good. I would definitely recommend him to anyone at anytime.

This person is unethical, it is no wonder he left Vail Colorado. This person I listened to, telling the nurses how though my face was broken in five places, and my 3 piece tongue was bleeding and in pain, that because I did not have insurance, he would rather leave me sitting on the front porch of the hospital, hoping for a transport over 100 miles away, because he is a douche bag Worthy of zero stars, and he was paid in full for his services. Very good experience, he does a great job!!

I absolutely loved this doctor! First time going here, and he was amazing, makes you feel so comfortable! Amazing staff!! I’m 25, and he’s the first doctor that I felt totally comfortable with!! Takes good care of you and takes pride in his work! His wife works with him too and I thought that was awesome!!

Dr Schmidtke and his entire staff are remarkable. From the time I walked in the front door and met the receptionist right on through the nurse and X-rays the consult and he even made time to do the procedure for me that day, the surgical nurse and finance lady up front, literally everyone was so nice and professional. After procedure instructions were clear and prescriptions were given. Dr Schmidtke called on me that evening to make sure I was doing well. He's a great guy and has put together a top of the line team here in Dothan. Why would anyone go anywhere else! I will gladly go back if needed and recommend them to one and all. This office came highly recommended. The office staff is amazing from the front to the back. I regret to say that my experience having one wisdom tooth extracted was not pleasant at all! After letting the doctor know I was feeling sharp pain twice, he continued pulling. I was at the point of extreme anxiety. Both him and his assistant kept saying, "we're almost there," as I was shaking tremendously. This was not my first extraction, but it was my first extraction with an oral surgeon.

I'm a PROUD patient of this wonderful caring man Dr. Schmidtke! He & his staff are so empathic for any pt. with pain. He did my 1st oral surg in 2015 to treat a chronic oral infectious inflammation that I aquired after intense dental work that was done 13 painful months prior.. Ive had 2 surg. since. I was so nervous each surg. but this caring man comforted & assured me it was gonna be painless & IT WAS! I know GOD lead me to this GREAT MAN, DR. SCHMIDTKE! I pray GOD Blesses HIS TEAM daily!

Had daughters wisdom teeth pulled. Before I left the office she was crying/balling in pain. They tried to tell me it was because the anesthesia makes girls emotional. Not buying it. I paid $400 for anesthesia and pain med that didn't work. Had to wait an hour to get pain meds filled. I called them back, they don't answer half of the time. They told me she's just emotional. Great dental surgeon. Most comfortable extraction I have ever experienced.

This specialist is a Master in his craft. I had to have two teeth extracted that were below the gum line. Of course I was scared of complications. Dr. Schmidtke pulled my teen's wisdom teeth a couple of years ago. He was awesome. I had to look him up again because my niece has same need now. My teen wants to shadow him to learn. I pray he accepts. We haven't asked yet.

3 months after an extraction surgery I was still in excruciating pain. I had to return to the office 10 times and nothing was done except prescribing meds and repacking my jaw. Had to call over and over. Heard doctor say to the receptionist “what does she want now” and then gets on the phone to tell me he can’t give anymore Lortab. I did not ask for lortab. I begged you to fix whatever you did to my mouth. Could barely eat or sleep for 2 months. Had to take 2 months off of work. Run away!

Dr. Schmidtke was a pleasure to work with. He made sure I exhausted all options before needing to pull a tooth. Scheduling was easy and so was reaching office staff as needed. Also, he personally called the evening of the procedure to see if I had any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend his office.

This dentist was rude and condescending. What a huge ego on this guy. I would never recommend him or go back.

Dr. Schmidtke is the best dental surgeon my family has used. Very caring and knowledgeable.

Dr. Schmidtke and his staff are the GREATEST! They fully explained my procedure, cost and recommendations so that there wouldn't be any surprises at the end. His interaction with his patients are on point,he sincerely cares about you and he listens to his patients. He truly is the guy to go to for all your dental needs.

I think Doctor Craig Schmidtke was born a Jedi, that's the best way I can explain it. He is like Yoda and Luke Skywalker in his wisdom and knowledge of his art form. :) I was having major issues with two teeth that were halfway broken off with exposed nerves. He took both teeth out with ease and did it within seconds with no pain. I told him I was afraid of needles, within two visits my fear of needles does't exist anymore. I would recommend Dr. Craig Schmidtke to anyone in the entire galaxy.
