Dr Young is an amazing physician! Personable and engaging! So sorry he is about to retire!

I would highly recommend Dr Young but since he is retiring at the end of 2020 it would do no good! I will say I am very glad that I was able to have him as the surgeon to repair my shoulder! He was understanding of my apprehension and was thorough in explaining the whole procedure from beginning to end. He was cheerful at each of my visits. I am truly satisfied with the outcome. I wish Dr Young a very happy retirement!!

He was great as usual, during a post-2 year surgery visit. Got xrays, a cortezone shot and then Dr Young indicated he was retiring in Dec 2020. Well done and thanks, Doc! Enjoy retirement!

Chris has performed surgery on my shattered ankle, my elbow and now cured my shoulder pain. He is an excellent doctor and he and his diverse and welcoming team genuinely care.

He repaired my rotator cuff, he is the only one I would ever trust to do this surgery. He is very well know for being the best and he truly lived up to this reputation he has in the community!

Dr.Young operated on my shoulder and now it it better than new, months ahead of schedule. Now going to work on my knee. I find he is a great educator and takes as much time as I need for me to fully understand diagnosis and options. He always does what he says he will do and so does his PA Jacob. I trust them completely and would 100% recommend him.

This was a follow up from Rotator Cuff surgery and I am so grateful that Dr. Young did my repair. I have full use and strength of the arm now. I had little pain following the surgery. This is not the case with many others I know who have had the same surgery. He is just plain THE BEST!

Dr. Chris Young is a wonderfully skilled orthopedic surgeon. I knew that if the time ever came for me to need orthopedic services.. I wanted the best. I went to Dr. Young because of his association with the University Of Richmond as the Team Physician. I knew that his varied experience with athletes would serve me better since I always try to be very active . I recently had rotator cuff surgery, bicep tendon reattachment, and calcium deposit removal. I have listened intently to the staff and their advice. I am doing great after twelve weeks. I am very thankful and appreciative for Dr. Chris Young, his capable assistant Jake , and all of the others gifted staff. If you need his orthopedic expertise, you can do no better than Dr. Chris Young.

I have had several sport’s injuries through the years, and Dr. Young has treated the ones to my shoulders & knee. He improved the quality of my life & helped me to return to the activities I love like Latin and Ballroom dancing. Dr. Young’s a great surgeon, but he always begins his treatment plan with more conservative options.

Dr. Young listened to what I had to say and described the best course of action.

Dr. Young is “second to none” He listened to and answered my questions before and after my shoulder surgery. My surgery couldn’t be performed through an arthroscope because of the extensive damage. However, a lengthy incision was made and sutured as if it had been performed by a plastic surgeon. Dr. Young is so intelligent and knowledgeable that he finds no reason, but to be kind and understanding with his patients.
