Dr. Damien Kekaneinoa Tavares III

Office staff is rude. Dr. Tavares was not understanding with my reason for the follow-up appointment cancellation since after being inoculated with the High Dose Flu vaccine (65+) the day before my appointment; the next day I experienced total body aches, headaches and low grade fever which I believe is from the flu vaccine but I'm not sure. Covid 19 is a real frightening crisis today so I'm not sure of the potential problem. I decided to cancel my appointment but was penalized with a "No Show" after I offered a proper explanation and cause. He could have used Video conferencing instead but chose not to or as he stated he does not do video conferencing. Very distressing in a time where the Pandemic is teaching us more inventive and creative ways to meet with patients. This was only a follow-up appointment.

He is the most knowledgeable, compassionate, conscientious, attentive doctor I’ve ever had. The staff is amazingly friendly. I don’t know what I would have done if I had not found him.

Dr. Tavares is the king of pain management! He wins the best doctor I ever had award hands down and I worship the ground he walks on. If I ever move off this island, I’m literally going to have to fly back every time I need him or take him with me in my suitcase. I could barely walk, stand, or sit after several surgeries, injections, nerve ablations, pain meds daily, and NOW I’M PAIN FREE! He put a machine in my back called a spinal cord stimulator & it’s the greatest thing ever. He’s a godsend. I can work, sit 6+ hours on a plane now, work out, walk the dogs, and make out with my husband. He’s a miracle worker. Beg him to take you as a patient then kiss his behind til he cures you like he did me.

If I could give him 0 stars I would. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience in my life. Please save your time and never see this doctor. He is easily offended by questions and disregards your feelings. If you don’t obey he gats upset and was huffing while we talked and scared me to the point of shaking. We simply asked questions and he acted like an egotistical man who thinks he is GOD himself when he is the worst person I have ever seen. Who gets upset about questions being asked only this man. And instead of taking a breath he escalated the situation to the point he decided he was done.. so immature!!!!! Thanks for nothing a doctor who doesn’t like to be asked questions!!! This guy shouldn’t be in practice if he can’t handle questions!!!!!

Dr. Tavares and his office staff have been very professional. The staff always greets you with a smile and are very caring. Dr. Tavares and his staff always follow up to see how you are doing and if there's anything else they can help you with after you have been treated. I've been to many doctors trying to find help and Dr. Tavares makes me feel and treats me like he really cares. His bedside manner and caring for my families concerns,,not just me has been exceptional! I would strongly recommend seeing Dr. Tavares to help you get and feel better

The worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office! They are unprofessional and are not considerate of patients time. Additionally, EVERY time you have a doctors appointment you must pay for really small cramped parking space that cannot even fit an economy car. I seen Dr. Tavares several times for back injections and my pain relief was minimal and it didn't last long at all!

He is my favourite doctor I have ever had, and I’ve had doctors all over the United States and internationally. As other reviews have said, he has awesome bedside manner. I came to him years after being diagnosed and he was the first doctor to not rush through my visit and to take time to explain what was happening to me. He has been an answer to prayer. We also love the staff. They make visits so comfortable and fun. My husband and I love them so much and are so grateful for Dr. Tavares.

Dr Tavares has taken very good care of me. I have been suffering from back pain for over 10 years and have finally sought out relief, glad to be under his care.

Virtually impossible to make an appointment and instead of saying they are unwilling to take the insurance that they are in network with they come up with an excuse

I've had a great experience with Dr. Tavares the past few months I've been going to him.I trust his treatment plans and diagnoses completely. I've never felt rushed during my appointment. He is always very patient, polite and present during our conversations. Personality wise, he's a kind, good man with a good sense of humor. He's helped me so much, I'm very grateful. The office is clean, nicely decorated and the staff are great, smiley and nice. I've never had to wait to be seen.

Dr. Tavares is incredible. After 26 years of worsening back pain and two back surgeries, I finally found a doctor who helped relieve my back pain. Thanks to Dr. Tavares, 90% of my lower back pain is gone. He is a doctor that listens to you and really seems to care about his patients.

Dr. Tavares was one of, if not the best docotors I've ever had. Hes very thoughtful, thorough, compassionate and has great bedside manner. Dr. Tavares never made me feel rushed in an appointment, always answered any questions or concerns I had and was all around a great docotor. Wish when we moved he would hwve been able to go.
