I am very greatful to Dr Daniel Chan. I thought that I would never recover the mobility of my arm, and he did such a perfect surgery that in 5 weeks I almost am back to normal. I highly recommed Dr Chan

He was very good at showing your problem before and After Surgery. Very accommodating to any questions.

Horrible service to new patients. I was calling for 3 straight days, several times a day, during different hours, to schedule an appointment, and everytime someone answered I was placed on hold and was left there indefinitely. At the end I was never able to speak to anyone or even schedule an appointment. Can not imagine what it would be like if I need to have a follow up or have an issue.

Dr. Chan is an exceptional surgeon. He's well trained and has great experience for complex orthopedic trauma surgeries. I'm sure he's a master at the less complex too. He's very responsive to questions and wants to make sure his patients understand what's happening. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Daniel B. Chan was well prepared for my visit, he paid attention to everything we discussed, this very evident in his after visit notes, everything I told him was in the report verbatim. The Staff are just as prepared and knowledgeable about my situation, the staff and Dr. Chan followed up the same day and the next day via phone and in MyChart.

Dr Daniel Chan ,MD- Orthopedic Trauma and Hip and Knee replacement si an excellent surgeon , and a great person!! Few days after the surgery, I had some question, and I wrote to him about my concern and I sent a picture of the incision line; he answer me in a short time , and gave me assurance that everything was OK, and told me what to apply on the incision.He is a great surgeon and person!! ????

On February 8th, 2023, at 58 yrs, Dr. Chan performed my left Knee total replacement and and don’t regret it. Currently I am at 115 degrees of flexion and with help PT, I reached 120 degrees. Target is 120-130 degrees. I won’t lie, this recovery is very painful and slow, but follow doctors and PT advice for fast full recovery. Staff at Cypress Creek Surgical Center as well as the PT team are very helpful, polite and always available. Maria surgical schedule Maria answers your cocerns as soon as possible. PT phil is amazing. Somedays I really think won’t be able to do excersises and whatever they do, helps a lot to complete all and each time you feel better. Thank you so much for your service. For yrs told by previous orthopedic, that due to my age, surgery was not possible. I am the 4th patient of co-workers that Dr Chan attends from my company. As I saw co-workers outstanding recovery, walking correctly and even bending with no pain, I took the decision to do this process. He is the best. In 45mins was out of surgery with no pain and walking. Next say was in therapy and reached 100 degrees of flexion with no pain.

Where do I begin ?? I’ll start with my decision to have the inimitable Dr. Bayon Chan as my Orthopedic Surgeon who would perform my bilateral total hip replacement procedure. He is one of Memorial Regional Hospitals Group of Orthopedic Sports Medicine physicians who are experts in their various specialties. Dr. B Chan exudes such positive energy and from the moment you meet him you know you have made the right choice of surgeons. My Rheumatologist had his hip replacement procedure performed by Dr. Chan and I’m grateful to him for referring me to such a kind and competent surgeon. About my overall experience at Memorial Regional South Hospital, all I can say is that I’ve been in Nursing for greater than 35years and I know excellent healthcare providers when I not only see them but experience them as a patient. From the moment you walk through the lobby for your pre op appointment being greeted by the Valet, the Receptionist and Security, the Patient Finance crew, to your pre - surgical techs and Nurses you just instantly feel you made the right choice in healthcare providers.The day you arrive for surgery is equally encouraging as you are greeted and prepared for surgery by a wonderfully friendly, respectful, professional and ancillary staff ; housekeeping staff is just great !! Not to mention how good the food is at Memorial South. My post surgical experience also gets 5 stars ; the appointment clerks and Therapist are very passionate about what they do and are committed to getting you to an optimal level of post surgical functioning; individualizing your treatment care plan. In brief, I’m on the road to complete recovery; and thanks to the Memorial Healthcare Team I’m looking forward to a physically active pain free retirement !! Dr Chan did an excellent job of replacing my hip. I walked out of surgery the same day, and never had a day of pain. I would definitely recommend Dr Chan. All his staff were very polite, professional and competent.

I went back to Dr. Chan after he replaced my left knee last year, and on December 14th, 2022 he replaced my right knee. As a tennis player for over 50 years, and countless other hobbies that include hiking, biking and swimming, I trusted Dr. Chan to help me get my life back. He has taken the time to listen to my concerns, and truly understands the person that I am and the lifestyle I enjoy. Both of my new knees have given me a second opportunity to enjoy my life again. My back pain, tendon and muscle pains and inability to move well are all in the past. As a seasoned nurse I know what it takes to work with a dedicated doctor that understands his patient's needs. Dr. Chen and his entire staff are wonderful. Dr. Chen was my 2nd opinion doctor and I am so grateful that I went to him. I had a hip replacement at a younger age and I feel brand new! Dr. Chan is the complete package. He has both the medical skills and personal attributes that make him an exceptional physician. Dr. Chan performed a major reconstruction of a 10-year-old knee replacement. He was very clear about the problem and the solution. And because he found that it needed immediate attention, he scheduled me for surgery within record time. Today, I'm walking fine and virtually pain free. He is kind, responsive, and has a good sense of humor. Both before and after surgery, he was quick to respond to questions - twice I e-mailed him over the weekend and received near-immediate responses. His office staff is also knowledgeable and responsive. I highly recommend Dr.Chan.

Dr. Chan saved my leg. I’d already had the original replacement and a revision. I was on my third knee for the same leg. I was told by another doctor that I’d have to have this leg amputated. I was absolutely sick with fear when I came for a second opinion, traveling from Orlando. Dr. Chan’s knowledge and kindness gave me hope but it was his skill that successfully revised my knee for the third and final time. I was amazed with the range of motion right out of surgery. My pain level was so much less than previous experiences. I have such trust and faith in Dr. Chan that I came from Orlando again to have the right knee revised due to loosening hardware. Dr. Chan did an open ankle surgery on my right leg, and quite literally saved my foot. I praise God for putting me in his medical care. His office team can be a bit more resourceful in my opinion. I couldn't be so much greatful for being Dr Chan's patient. I suffered pain in my hip for 2 years; I went from different physical therapies, injections and pain killers and nothing could mitigate de pain. On March 16, 2022, I received a total hip replacement with Memorial Healthcare system. My attending physician who did God’s work through his hands, was Dr. Daniel Chan. I am so grateful to be returning to an active productive life style. I am returning to full duty at work only six weeks after my surgery. This is no small achievement as I am a police motorcycle officer which requires intense physical activity and requirements . The intense rehabilitation therapy provided to me by personnel of Memorial west rehabilitation after surgery was outstanding. Through a goal setting exercise program my recovery was unbelievable and outstanding. The day of my surgery, my spouse had to help me walk into the facility. Within four hours or so, I was was walking, and then on my way home. Yes, outpatient surgery. Don’t be scared, go see Dr. Chan, he will give you all options available. For 10 years I suffered hip pain. I was very active in sports, ran a couple of marathons, I developed arthritis in my hip joints. In an hour and a 1/2 doctor Chan change my life For the better. Using modern techniques He performed double hip replacement surgery. I am so blessed that I placed myself in The hands of a very competent up-to-date doctor. I inquired with other doctors as to how long the operation would take, None would guarantee me less than 5 hours. My son who worked with him in the operating Room said he is the best. I truly believe I was guided to the best doctor. In less than 2 hours he replaced both my hips. I was walking The next day without the the pain, pain that I dealt with for 10 years. I met Dr Chan in the ER at Mem Reg Hosp when I broke my hip. He is famous for his state of the art prodedure. He and his team were kind to me and my family.

I'm a 40 year old male that needed both my hips replaced I seen 2 other surgeons but they only wanted to work on one hip at a time this is a Major surgery I was hella nervous but meeting Dr.Chan changed everything he assured me that he can do both and I'll be walking on my own with in a few weeks that was hard to believe but he was true to his word every bit of it and the staff there is amazing the surgery was quick and they had me on my feet walking without the walker and cane in a few weeks as a grown man I cried I never thought I would be able to enjoy a normal life again with my wife and kids I still have slight pain but that is to be expected while I'm still healing but Dr Chan is the best and a man of his word's.If you want to have a great surgery with quick heal times look for this Doctor/Surgeon. I can honestly say that my hip replacement was nothing short of "Miracle Medicine". It was over in 45 minutes, and I was up and walking in less than an hour after surgery. My pain level was managed with a few Tylenols for the first week. It has been 6 weeks since the surgery and I am already back in the gym. I am 68 years old and endured extreme pain and mobility issues for three years before I found Dr. Chan. I saw other orthopedic surgeons but never felt confident enough to have them perform my hip replacement. I learned of Dr. Chan in late 2021 and scheduled an appointment for a consult. From the moment I met Dr. Chan I felt confident in his knowledge, skills and approach. He explained the procedure in detail and answered all of my questions. His staff was wonderful and supportive in the weeks leading up to and after my surgery date. The Cypress Creek Outpatient Surgical facility is state of the art and the staff is exceptional. Everyone on Dr. Chan’s surgical team treated me with respect and kindness. Dr. Chan met with me before and after the surgery and I was very impressed with his compassion and humanity. The procedure took 45 minutes and I was up and walking within 2 hours. When I got home after my surgery, I was able to climb stairs. It has been six weeks and I am transformed.

For many years I procrastinated to operate my knees Not only did I have problems with my knees also pain and I was bull legged. My brother was operated by Mr. Chan and I seen the perfection that he did with my brother knee and the result. It was amazing.. Even though I was worried the pain in the suffering was so much that I had to go see Mr. Chen. I had a left hip replacement in 2019 and a right in 2021. The two months later I had an infection settle in my left hip from sepsis and need to go in and operate again. Dr. Chan did all three surgeries. He is awesome, professional, wonderful, great bedside manner, intelligent, returns calls and emails promptly and is a great surgeon overall. Dr. Chan is an awesome surgeon. He performed a total hip replacement of my right hip in June 2020. The result and procedure was much better than expected. The Surgicenter is extremely efficient and contemporary. My surgery was performed perfectly in less than an hour. I was walking in less than an hour following surgery. Very little pain. I waited to write this report because it was too perfect to believe. Total time from checkin to departure from the surgicenter was 3 and 1/2 hours. Did a little at home therapy for a week. I was blessed to find Dr. Chan. I needed total hip replacement due to having deteriorated to the point of it being bone on bone with very limited mobility. Dr. Chan explained it was a quality of life decision as to whether or not to have surgery. A week later I scheduled the surgery and only wish I'd done it sooner. The whole process from checking in, pre-op prep, surgery, recovery to walking out to the car was about 4.5 hours. Three days after surgery I was walking over a half mile without any assistance. Anterior hip replacement surgery is the way to go and Dr. Chan is the only surgeon you need. I had a total hip replacement on December 8, 2021, and I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Chan, his staff, the surgical team and the physical therapy department. Dr. Chan answered , addressed every concern and followed through on everything as he promised. Maria, the office manager, was terrific. Dr. Chan responded to my emails promptly, and there was no stone left unturned. I did intense research and consulted with over 5 surgeons prior to selecting this doctor. I had had a prior hip replacement with another physician, and although pleased with the results, decided to change surgeons because of the dramatic difference between the first surgeon and Dr. Chan as it applied to all my needs. Although I was 9 years younger during the first replacement, the results are much better. I was able to walk 1/3 mile with the walker the second week, and am now 5 weeks post- op and able to walk 1/2 mile as exercise, drive. I recommend this Doctor for anyone in need of hip replacement

I knew I would need a hip replacement and was blessed to find Dr. Chan. When I went to the initial consult he explained that the surgery was not necessary as it was really a quality of life decision. He explained my options in a caring and compassionate way. A week later I scheduled the surgery for 11/10/2021. He and the entire surgical staff were amazing. This was my first time having surgery at 60 years old. It was a very professional and relaxed atmosphere at the Cypress Creek Outpatient Surgical Center. Surgery was quick and walked out after about an hour in recovery. I had anterior hip replacement and only wish I'd done it sooner. Dr. Chan and his staff were always available to answer any questions I had. I've already referred two friends to Dr. Chan. The physical therapy department is just as good and professional as Dr. Chan and his staff. If you need a hip replacement Dr. Chan is the surgeon you must use.

I managed to tweak my hip by, I think, pulling up my leg crossways too aggressively doing my own pedicure. This is a hip that has had twinges in it in the past, but sometimes I expect more from it, by putting my leg in a position maybe I shouldn't, and I guess I caused some sort of flare-up. As ridiculous as that sounds, that's the thing that most likely caused intense hip pain that caused me to limp around the house, have no ability to put pressure on my leg, it hurts to sit, have shooting pain from my hip to my knee, not to mention created stress. I reached out, and I was seen within 24 hours by Dr. Francks in Dr. Chan's practice. To even get in within 24 hours of reaching out is unheard of, but clearly, this is a practice dedicated to helping patients. The office staff are professional and friendly. They took a history, did an x-ray, and developed a treatment plan. I'm taking an antiinflammatory. Hopefully, no more issues, but if so, I know I'm in great hands.

I had TKR on Nov 17th, woke up from the anesthesia took a couple of steps then spoke to Dr Chan, he then told me how bad my knee was and how successful he thought surgery went. After a bunch of therapy. (Every other day) I finally went to see Dr Chan again, it’s been 6 weeks since my surgery and even thou there is still some inflammation I am able to walk normal again with almost no pain. My scar just need a tan, it healed beautifully. So far it’s been 6 weeks and I’ve been cleared to go back to sport with caution. I am forever grateful to Dr Chan and his whole team. When I met with Dr. Chan it had been two years since major trauma and surgery for my right tibia and knee. I was suffering with major pain in my knee and the inability to fully extend my leg. I was 15° away from full extension before Dr. Chan performed a total knee replacement for me. immediately after surgery I was only 5° away from full extension. Today after only seven weeks since surgery my leg extension is 100% and I am pain-free..Dr. Chan is a superstar Hall of Famer in his field and I will be forever grateful to him. He has improved my walking and quality of life 100%.

From early December 2020 through early October 2021 I have visited Dr. Chan's practice many times. I broke my right leg while on vacation, in late 2020, and was referred to Dr. Chan for follow-up to my emergency orthopedic surgery. He and his staff were always helpful and friendly. Through his care, I had several more surgeries, ending with a total knee replacement in August 2021. I am now walking with no assistive devices and resuming my active lifestyle!

I fractured my wrist and my pelvis. I also dislocated my femur. Dr. Chan performed surgery immediately for my wrist and allowed my pelvis to heal on its own. The plan was perfect and after 3 months I am almost fully recovered from all the injuries. I can jump and ran and my wrist has 90 percent mobility. The scar is minimal. Dr. Chan is an outstanding orthopaedic surgeon! I had 2 Total Knee Replacement surgeries done on an outpatient basis and walked out the same day after each visit ! After the first surgery, I had no hesitation going back for the 2nd surgery. Post surgery, Physical Therapy was key. In late April, much to my dismay, I learned that I needed a total left hip replacement. I did some local doc research & while I found a few whom I’m sure were capable, I lucked upon Doctor Chan during my research. His whole approach with out patient & no general anesthesia really appealed to me as I had never even had my tonsils out and was not looking forward to major surgery. I thought this would be a great opportunity to let people know my experience with Dr. Chan. There are bad doctors, good doctors, and then there are GREAT DOCTORS. Dr Chan is a great doctor. I was impressed with his character first, then his knowledge and skill. He was very calming when explaining the surgery (hip replacement). I loved that he responded every time that I reached out to him through the medical portal, even after he did my surgery. I think he is an excellent doctor and I recommend him to anybody that is looking for a great surgeon. My surgery went excellent and I didn't have any problems. Dr. Chan's staff is also excellent. On another note: I did rehab at the Cypress Facility and that staff is great to. So if you are looking for a Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Daniel Chan is the one. Dr Chan and his staff are truly professional and did a tremendous job and replacing my left hip. The surgery was pretty much smooth and without pain. I am working better now than I have in 30 years. This surgery is truly miraculous in my view. I was in so much pain for years and now it has been completely relieved. Thank you so much Dr Chan and your great staff. I had to have a full hip replacement and from day one of meeting Dr. Chan I knew I picked the right surgeon. On my first visit he explained everything in great detail and answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed so he could get to his next patient. His staff are also some of the nicest people in the business and very thorough to set everything up. Also the outpatient surgery procedure was awesome. I can't say enough good things about the whole process of getting this done by Dr. Chan and his entire team involved in the procedure.
