Upon my first meeting with Dr. Dan Harmon I was instilled with a confidence as to his ability and caring that surpassed every other doctor I have seen. He took each medical step necessary to make sure he had all the information needed to make the perfect diagnosis. It turned out I did need a total hip replacement. He showed the X-Rays to me and went over every detail. He gave me all the options other than surgery. I knew I needed the total hip replacement surgery. On the day of the surgery Dr. Harmon discussed with me the entire procedure. I knew positively I was in the best possible hands. To get to the bottom line, 2 hours after being wheeled into the operating room, I was walking with a new hip in the recovery room and walking on my own without a walker or cane 13 days later. If I ever need a knee or the other hip replaced I would find Dr. Harmon wherever he is practicing to perform the necessary medical procedures.

My Primary Care Doctor highly recommended Dr Harmon to assess my hip pain and I have been extremely pleased with his care throughout diagnosis , surgery and post-op care. He clearly explained several options and I was very glad that he is trained to do the anterior arthroplasty method which I chose. My recovery has been rapid and comfortable. His manner is professional and caring and I am very grateful for his care. The office staff and nurses were efficient, and pleasant and appointments were on time. Had total hip replacement on 1/20/22, things could not have gone better. Dr. Harmon is very nice, caring, makes sure you know what is going on at all times. Totally professional, and the whole staff at Trails Edge Surgery Center were incredible. Highly recommend.

Six weeks out of Hip surgery and back to normal, I couldn't have a better experience, I am back to playing tennis like it never happen. This was an out Patent Procedure one hour and fifteen minutes operation back home in a few hours after recovery. In 2019 I had extreme groin pain I went to Dr. Harmon he ordered MRI. I had total right hip replacement. 2021 late August I found Dr. Harmon working at Gardner Association Orthopedics. I visited him in October my surgery was scheduled November 18th. There were no problems. He has a Great bedside manner, I would recommend him to everyone. I would like to Thank him for getting me out of pain. Now I have 2 brand pair of Hips. I was determined to find him I am so happy I did. Dr Harmon impressed my husband and me with his quick assessment of my respiratory situation and his decision to operate without using general anesthesia. He was called in at the last minute to repair a broken hip. He impressed me with his caring manner. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Dr. Harmon and all of the staff were first class. Dr. Harmon was very helpful and took his time talking to me about the procedure.

Facility appears clean except the bathroom @12:30 needed some attention. Staff introduced themselves by name although I am not sure the woman who spoke with me in the room was a RN. The doc sat down with me and explained his findings and gave me a verbal plan of care upon discharge.

Dr. Harmon may look young. Which he is; yet on top of new techniques for orthopedic surgeries. He repaired my meniscus tear. I healed quickly after surgery and therapy. Unfortunatrly I got patellar bursitis. He saw me in his office quickly; gave me hydrocortisone injection, anti inflammitory meds. I received therapy exercises to do at home. He is the Doctor for knees. I would highly recommend him. Joint Institute is the place to go for full care of joint injuries with therapy, MRI , and x-rays all in the same building. I fell in my home breaking my femur bone. Dr. Harmon was the orthopedic on call. He surgically set the leg inserting a pin. I am currently 17 days after surgery using only a cane to walk. I have almost no pain. I was lucky to have Dr. Harmon on call.

Dr. Harmon has been my ortho doctor for many years. He consulted on my rotator cup surgery, did total knee replacement on my right knee and has been giving me geosynchronous injections in my left knee for a few years. Dr Harmon is awesome! My 95 year old mother has fallen 3 times in 3 months. Couldn't anyone to x-ray her right foot to see why she was falling. He did. He actually listened to us. Dr. Daniel Harmon is a wonderful caring surgeon. He really listens to his patients. He tries conservative measures before surgery. I won't go into great detail but his actions last year made a significant difference in the quality of my life.

Dr Harmon replaced my hip recently and with his anterior approach, I was back to walking without any pain. I was very grateful to have decided to go to Dr. Harmon for my hip replacement. He is a wonderful, talented, personable doctor and his staff is equally as good. I recovered so quickly that PT was cut short after just 4 visits. I highly recommend him for any hip procedures as his way of performing this surgery allows you to recover in no time. Dr. Harmon performed a total hip replacement on me and I am walking normally without walker or cane in less than 3 weeks. He and his staff are very professional and accommodating. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Harmon as he specializes in the Anterior approach, which heals more quickly. I had a lot of pain due to arthritis before the surgery and I feel none of that pain now. I am 100% satisfied with the surgery and the recovery.

My experiences with Dr Harmon and his APRN Nicole Kennedy were outstanding. Dr Harmon discovered a need for antibiotic treatment prior to surgery and would not perform it until the infection was gone. He is comprehensive in his entire approach and changed my life from one of pain and limitation to one with no pain in the hip. He and his wonderful APRN, Nicole Kennedy, oversaw my care with expertise and gentleness. They actually catered to me because I was anxious, increasing my trust every step of the way. The Doctor Daniel Harmon is the best Orthopedic Surgeon. He did a hip replacement to my father and It was perfect. after 21 days my father is walking without cane. If you need something like that, I actually recommend this doctor

Dr. Harmon was recommended through my PT specialists in Fort Myers. I had my hip replaced through the anterior method in July. At six weeks I am walking normally and pain free! I am very happy with the results and highly recommend Dr. Harmon and his staff.

I haven't felt this good in 5 years. Thanks to the entire staff, as each performs their job in an exemplary manner. I was reffered to this office by the e.r at lee memorial hospital because i have a broken left collar bone...even though the fracture happened 6 years ago what difference should that make??....i explained to them im in pain...maybe the bones shifted or something but the e r sent me home with morphine for pain and told me to follow up as soon as possible with dr harmons office....so i call for an appt last friday. My mother's experience was horrible with Dr. Harmon. He was so rude to this 83 year old woman. She complained to him that she was freezing in the paper shorts they had her put on while waiting fifteen minutes for the doc to come in. His response was, Welll, you are free to go elsewhere if you want." The check in male nurse was rude too. She said she would be cold and he told her she wouldn't be instead of offering a blanket. 5 star two hip replacement without any problems walkout the same day

Dr.Harmon performed total right hip replacement the morning of April 5th. 1st of all the entire staff from the time I walked in to the time I was wheeled out were incredible. Professional and caring warm people. Okay. Now back to Dr. Harmon. He is very clear of everything he is going to do start to finish. I had procedures on this hip 4 previous times unrelated to this surgery. Because of prior surgeries he ordered a battery of tests prior to surgery to ensure there was no lingering bacteria anywhere in my body. Soooooo thorough. So as stated the surgery was performed April 5Th. The doctor checked up on me multiple times post-op in recovery. After spinal wore off and I was no longer numb I was up and moving around 1-2:00. With walker assistance headed down the hall with no issues. Then finally I needed to go up and down steps as I have 18 of them in my 2nd floor condo. Again, no problem at all. After I evacuated my bladder I was cleared to go home. Think about that. Total hip replacement and out the door same day. I am 61 years old as a point of reference. So I took pain meds yesterday evening and nothing today. No I am not saying no discomfort but as I write this at 9:15 AM the next morning I have not taken anything. I am using a walker and will start PT right away. Dr. Harmon performed this on a Hanna table performing the anterior approach. Highly trained on this minimally invasive surgery. If you live in the Fort Myers area and need either a knee or a hip replacement look no further. He is truly amazing. He should be rated above 5 star. I am 68 years old and have suffered with arthritis in my hip for 25 years. The pain finally reached a point, that it was time to replace my right hip. I did my own research in the Fort Myers area and discovered that Dr Harmon was using a much less invasive approach to hip replacement. I am actually thrilled with the results. I went to the hospital on 1/10 at 6:00 am and was home that day at 5:00 pm. I also want to commend Dr. Harmon's team. The Nurse Navigator Lisa, The Nurse Practitioner Tiffany, and the PA Jeff. I’m a 49 y.o. male, on the "younger" side of needing a new hip but have always been active and athletic. Discovered the "anterior" approach - no cutting through muscles or tendons, faster recovery, virtually no motion restrictions afterwards - best way to return to previous lifestyle! Interviewed the major hip surgeons in Ft. Myers and discovered only Dr. Harmon uses this approach. Got in to see him quickly, and everything went well from there. He even personally moved up my surgery (during Dec. high season) after I explained the pain was so great I wouldn't be able to make a scheduled overseas flight. Surgery was early in the morning and I was home walking around with the walker the same evening. At follow up visits, Dr. Harmon and his PA Jeffrey St. Firmin said I wouldn't need any physical therapy, just continue walking and slowly resume normal activities. 6 weeks post surgery I was bicycling at full speed. Dr. Harmon did a fantastic job on my hip replacement surgery, which was June 26th, 2018. I did not need a walker or cane after surgery. Jeff, the PA and Christina the nurse have also been remarkable and helpful. I need to have my other hip replaced next month and I feel reassured all will go well again.

Excellent outcome - walking, driving, minimal pain all in short order. Dr. Harmon was recommended to me by a pain specialist at another orthopedic clinic because of Dr. Harmon’s use of the anterior method of hip replacement. He said that Dr. Harmon was the surgeon he would recommend to a family member. On May 14th I had the procedure and was home the next day, pain free for the first time in months. Recovery is happening more quickly than I ever thought possible. From my first appointment through the whole process and moving forward Dr. Harmon and his staff have taken care of everything from aquatic physical therapy beforehand to all the follow up needed to ensure the success of the procedure. I have never enjoyed such comprehensive care for any health issue in my life. Kudos to Dr. Harmon and his staff!!

I had needed a total hip replacement for quite some time, however due to another medical issue it wan't possible. Dr. Harmon worked with my other doctors to develop a plan to make the surgery possible. Successful surgery was done in January 2019 and I haven't felt this good in many years. There was minimal pain after surgery, and being treated by Dr. Harmon and PA Jeff was awesome. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone any time.

Doc Harmon Fixed both of my hips in 2016. I didnt even have to stay in the hospital. We did the surgeries 6 weeks apart and it was so easy. After my second replacement I was up and doing errands the next day. I never took pain meds and was quite surprised how fast I recovered. My hips were so bad I walked like a penguin and had constant pain, it was such a relief to be done with it. Thank you to Dr Harmon and his team for helping me.

Had anterior hip replacement.

I had a knee replacement in 2008 by another doctor at different orthopedic group. That doctor would not listen to me and either did the other two Doctors I went for assessment and consult.I was repeatedly that nothing could be done for my pain or that my knee would not extend.My knee got worst along with my back pain and walking to the point I just about gave up. I found Dr. Harmon and he was willing to take my case and he replaced the knee properly and my knee is doing great. I am so grateful that Dr Harmon improved my life! I found that Dr. Harmon is very personable, professional and he listens to you. Dr. Harmon is the real deal and I highly recommend him to everyone. One of a kind Orthopedic Surgeon , taking on the challenges others won’t touch.

Dr. Harmon and his entire staff treated me with professionalism and such great care! I had a total hip replacement and am extremely pleased with my experience and outcome, pain is gone! The man absolutely changed my life. It was close to impossible for me to walk, I had to use one of those a little electric carts to get around when shopping.The pain was pretty severe. Doctor Harmon told me about this procedure he called the "anterior approach". He completed my hip replacement about 2 years ago. I was in the hospital for a total of 11 hours. I was walking in the hospital with a walker after about 4 or 5 hours. I was absolutely amazed how fast my life returned to normal.

Dr Harmon and his entire team are amazing! He did a total right hip replacement on Feb 5th and I was back to work on Feb 22 and that was with no restrictions!! I am recommending Dr. Harmon and his caring team to everyone! The only thing I regret was not having it done sooner! Dr Harmon really doesn’t deserve a 5 star rating...he deserves a 500 star rating!

Very Bad Experience Office staff totally disorganized- made 3 phone calls to office-over 4 days- never got a call back. Also- MD Misdiagnosed my knee problem. Will not go back. MD told me I did not need a knee MRI- I had a MCL Sprain. asked for a MRI order- he reluctantly ordered one-me. I was wise to hold off on starting PT. until I had the MRI n a definitive Diagnosis. MRI -I had 5 things abnormal, including a Tear of my Knee Meniscus, with Cartilage Ulcer. The MCL was normal.

I'm 49 and on the "younger" side for a new hip, but have always been active and athletic. Discovered the "anterior" approach would the best way to return to previous lifestyle. Only Harmon does this in Ft. Myers area, thankfully got in to see him quickly and everything went well. He & staff are friendly, professional, and accommodating; took time to answer all questions and reassure me that I'd get back to previous lifestyle - and 7 weeks after surgery I'm getting there. Thank you Dr. Harmon!

I had total hip replacement and in 10 days I was walking without assistance and power washed my driveway! I had virtually no pain and was home the next day, walking with a walker. If you are considering hip surgery he is the very best in my mind and experience. Steve Mills 239 244 7753

Horrible. Never saw the Doctor. Had me arrive20 minutes early for x-rays. Which was fine. Then another 20 minutes early for an appointment at 10 am . 30 minutes later... still waiting. A patient ahead of me was supposed to see the doctor at 9:20 and was still waiting. Check in team apologizes. Had to ask...how does that help?! End result...still in pain. No call from the office and...wait for it... no request for feedback. How much would u bet, I still get a bill for the visit. Hmmm

Very pleased with Dr. Harmon. My husband needed a hip revision after 26 years. Excellent outcome. Professional and caring.

If I could give a 0 i would. I have been trying to get an appointment for 3 days and keep getting told the Dr. has to look at my file. For 3 days! Went in with a broken knee cap. After seeing him for three weeks straight I developed a blood clot in my leg. Which was noticed after I showed up to his office with a huge and swollen leg, all red and super hot to the touch. I was sent downstairs for an ultrasound which determined I had a blood clot. Dr. Harmon was shocked that I had developed a blood clot, and was so proud of himself that “he caught it”. He prescribed me Eliquis, with no refills. When I called today to get a refill, first I was told that he did not prescribe Eliquis for me, that it was nowhere in the records that I got that prescription. After some time discussing with the girl who answered the phone she put me on hold again, she got back on the phone and said no, I did not receive any prescription from Dr. Harmon for Eliquis. I said how is it then that I’m holding in my hand a bottle of Eliquis with the prescriber name Dr. Harmon? She put me on hold again - 3rd time. When she got back on the phone this time she said oh yes I see it here it says you do have Eliquis, but Dr. Harmon is not giving you a refill, Dr. Harmon states it’s up to your PCP to give you your refills of Eliquis from here on out. Dr. Harmon never stated that when I was in his office. Probably because Dr. Harmon is always in such a rush to get in and out of the office with his patients. The last time I went there he literally was in the office with me for three minutes. He has absolutely no bedside manner. He always appears to be in a rush. The last time I was in his office he was so rude I just couldn’t believe he was speaking to me the way he was, when I looked at his nurse she even appeared to be surprised. While I was walking out I asked her how do you even deal with him and she just smiled. I guess everyone needs a job, and that is why she stays. How do you prescribe someone a prescription for a blood clot and then tell them you’re not going to give them any refills. That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard of. This is why I’m giving Dr. Harmon one star. Additionally, had Dr. Harmon prescribed me the constricting socks from day one, I may not have developed the blood clot. Dr Harmon is a excellent orthopedic surgeon. He takes the time to listen to your concerns, explains everything he plans on doing. Cutting edge surgeon. Excellent surgery skills.

Dr. Harmon replaced my left hip utilizing the anterior approach. My surgery and recovery were both easier and quicker than I anticipated . Dr. Harmon was easy to talk to and very thorough in his explanation of both the surgery and recovery/rehab. I recently scheduled a surgery for my right hip. Dr. Harmon was the only choice!

He took care of my left hip and made me whole again. But now he is gone from that practice. Oh where oh where are you Dr. Harmon? I need to see you again.

a year and a couple pf months after dr. harmon gave me a new left hip i have gained more mobility for play and enthusiasm for life than i had wildly anticipated... his monitoring of my progress is very assuring...all goes remarkably well... dr. harmon as a physician and careing health professional are to recognized and highly commended...

Drained my knee and gave me a shot of cortisone! I didn't feel a thing! Very nice office and staff! I would recommend Dr. Harmon

Dr. Harmon is an excellent surgeon. I had my left hip replaced. He is the only doctor in my area that uses the anterior approach which is less invasive. I attended the PT boot camp in the hospital and was favorably surprised to compare my recovery progress to patients rehabbing from the posterior approach.

I am extremely pleased with my meniscectomy results. I am a very active mom of 3 young children, physically fit and did not have time for this injury sustained during a high intensity work out. Dr. Harmon did my surgery on 1/24 and it is 3/18 and I'm back to burpees with no pain. I followed post op instructions and slowly got back to this level. Still have a bit to go before I can run 10 miles but my knee feels great. Dr Harmon is honest and skilled...I will refer friends and family to him.
