Starting seeing Dr Hood after a rare illness. At first, we were monitoring the aftermath of what happened. Once I was cleared by UofM, I continued to see Dr Hood for ongoing migraines. In the two years under his care, he never once ordered any test or spoke to any of my other specialists. When I tried to explain possible causes that my other specialist were exploring, it was met with an opinion of the complete opposite. Eventually my appointments became about how much I weighed. All my problems would be solved with a diet and OTC vitamins. I would leave in tears and dread the next appointment. Thankfully I am seeing a different neurologist who has been more beneficial in 2 appointments than Dr Hood was in 2 years. Starting seeing Dr Hood after a rare illness. After my wife's appointment, we were leaving and almost out the door when Dr Hood ran to catch us to give us additional information. He could have just had one of his office staff just give us a call, but actually ran after us to tell us before we left.

Dr. Hood always spends a great deal of time with me answering my questions and concerns. He listens to me and has helped me a lot. His office staff has always been very friendly and helpful as well. I have had to wait to see Dr. Hood sometimes but he is always worth the wait. He is excellent.

I was having an EMG performed by Dr. Hood and his assistant. During the entire testing the assistant had her cell phone out and was showing the doctor her photos, complete with commentary, both hers and his. The one time the doctor did ask me any questions or acknowledge my presence in the room, it was to argue with me about the doctor that did my last EMG at Borgess. At the end of the procedure I attempted to ask a question but they were laughing and left the room. Unbelievable. Never again.
