Worst doctor ever. Was hospitalized just needed a basic form with a work ETA for an office job for my disability insurance. Invited him to write in his own date. I was released from his charge with the stipulation that I not operate vehicles. I love in New York so this was not a problem. He told me — using a ridiculous defensive and argumentative tone of voice —he wouldn’t sign the form because “I wasn’t coming back to Ohio to see him.” Huh? I’ll get any other doctor to sign off. Had a good experience at the hospital other than Dr Mayer who did nothing it was his staff that’s did the tests. He came in once to speak with me and I had to take a call to get my hotel situation straight as I was dealing with neurological concerns. He left and I never saw him again. I have never left a negative review for a doctor previously. Was able to reach the hospitals ombudsman to pass along specific positive feedback — she was tough on me but knew how to handle me. That’s what I do. It’s a thankless job. This is my first ever negative review of a doctor and I have a long history of medical concerns. This guy chose the wrong profession. Worst doctor ever.
