Dr. McKenna is excellent surgeon that spends a good amount of time with the patient explains anything that needs to be explained and has an excellent bedside manner. And the follow-up care with him and his team is exceptional would not go anywhere else if I need anything done. you can tell he takes pride in his work from his surgical team to his nursing staff they’re all exceptional .

My overall experience with my pre and post surgical care has been outstanding. Having worked in the healthcare inspection services I can give Dr, McKenna and his staff two thumbs up. One of the key factors in assessing a surgeons skill is post operative pain and recovery. I had some discomfort, however, I had much less than expected. I had several issues being corrected and was in the OR over 4 hours. I was shocked that I had no bruising being obese. Walking 5 miles within 2 weeks!

He is very professional and sure of himself and his ability to tackle the most difficult cases. What another would not fix he fixed and changed my life. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dr. McKenna. Green Bay made a wonderful improvement when they brought this intelligent and highly skilled young doctor to BayCare Hospital.

I was looking for a GI specialist in Indiana that had the ability to preform a certain type of surgery that most don't/can't do. I didn't know him before my procedures and was not referred to him as he was 2.5 hours south of where I lived and no one knew him. He and his staff were absolutely AMAZING. Dr. McKenna fully explained the procedure he would do, he had wonderful bedside manners, he was caring, intelligent and respectful. There is no reason for me to ever see another GI doctor, he's the best and I am so happy I found him!!

Let me start by saying I have no interest in rating this doctor. (that always concerns me when reading ratings). I did not know this doctor prior to my health issue. My first appointment with Dr. McKenna was a short wait and he fully explained the surgical procedure. Prior to and following surgery, he spent time with me again explaining the surgery (gall bladder removal. The doctor was personable, professional, and listened. I was out playing golf four days after my surgery (which the doctor did not recommend) and I have had no surgery complications and would highly recommend this surgeon.
