Update: After a few months of posting this review, I received a call from Dr. Kumar, who saw the bad review and wanted to apologize for his office staff's behavior. I appreciate the apology and really hope that he has a better staff now. Went to the physician for blood pressure and palpitations, went through initial testing and after everything came back within normal ranges, he didn't even want to see me or try to find out why I was still having the symptoms. He wouldn't even see me for a follow-up visit even after everything. One visit and a results call from his nurse, thats all i got. Good luck with him and his office as I will never go back.

Recently, I was referred to Dr. Kumar by my own cardiologist at the same facility. An ICD was something my cardiologist thought that I would benefit from after medication for several months hadn't helped. My first impression of Dr. Kumar was a good one. The visit was informative and he listened to my concerns and answered my questions. He explained the procedure to me and we scheduled for several weeks later. On surgery day, he came in to see me prior to the procedure and alleviated any concerns or fears I may have had. The procedure went flawlessly and if it's possible to enjoy something of that nature, I would say I did. I was comfortable, no pain, and awake for the entire procedure. The next week after the implantation, I began having constant PVC's, which I have had issues with most of my life but they were unrelenting and they seemed so much stronger than before. After notifying Dr. Kumar's office, he called me himself and spoke with me about my symptoms. Very rarely have I ever had a physician take the time to call me themselves, normally that is a duty left to their office staff. I was so impressed and again, relieved. The only negative experience I had was with one nurse in particular that took care of me on the day I came back for a wound check. When she called my name to come back to the exam room, I had taken a cell phone call that was urgent. I quickly ended the conversation but I was met with rolled eyes and an attitude after that. I was in the room with this nurse and the rep from the ICD company who was checking the ICD to ensure it was working properly. I had to remove the bandage that had been over my incision for more than a week and I did so too slowly for the nurse and she became irritated. In fact, she remained irritated with me for the rest of the visit. If Dr. Kumar wasn't such an incredible cardiologist, I would have to think twice about going back. Nurses need to remember that they are there to reassure and relate in a kind manner with patients. I had never been down this road before in my life and I had questions that I left unanswered because of her interaction with me.

Fantastic cardiologist. Placed my pacemaker. Very easy to speak with and great bedside manners.

Excellent Dr. wise beyond his years, with a great caring personality. I was somewhat apprehensive about seeing someone here in Wichita Falls, but it couldn't wait. Now after the cardioverts and ablation, I'm feeling better than I have in years. Good man who listens to his patients as well as explains.

Dr Kumar was on call for Dr. Desire, when I was taken to the ER. Dr. Kumar explained everything thoroughly and in terms I could understand. I was really very scared and Dr. Kumar put me at ease. I think God was watching out for me, when circumstances gave me Dr. Kumar. An Electrophysiolist (he calls himself the electrician) is exactly what I needed at this time. I now have the two best cardiology doctors. All of my doctors are the very best and this goes for Dr. Kumar. I highly recommend Dr
