Worst possible experience ever, if I could put 0 stars I would in a heartbeat. As someone has already said, if you need surgery RUN to another doctor. THIS IS NOT the place to go to. I have had a cyst “removal” back in march, then the same cyst “removed” in October (funny thing is there was suture material left in my wound from the 1st surgery, just showing how reckless he is) , and now having to meet with a specialist because my CYST is still here! This man is incompetent to be a doctor, and even more so run a proper office. He can’t even get MRI paperwork sent over properly and on time, leaving me to pay OUT OF POCKET! This man has costed me my job, and has been putting my health at risk! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My brother had 2 surgeries with this “doctor” . Leaves staples in his surgery area , doesn’t send paperwork out. Says everything is fine just for it to get even worse than before surgery. This guy is scum of the earth to call himself a doctor. My brother has now lost his job. My brother requests medical records and they leave our surgery notes where they stated they left staples. And had to go back in and ask for the specific notes. Absolutely ridiculous. I’m surprised there are no lawsuits against this guy absolute unprofessionalism As a lee health employee myself I AM DISGUSTED. At the unprofessionalism shown by this office & physician

Darren was a very down to earth General Surgeon with an awesome sense of humor and very kind as well. He helped me with extracting lymph nodes. In the unfortunate event that I need surgery again I will be sure to try to schedule with him. Thank you Darren Miter.

I would like to first thank Lee Health for providing the option for the services of Dr. Miter and his staff to perform my inguinal hernia laparoscopic repair in October of 2021. Beyond thanks goes to Dr. Miter and his wonderful staff for what was for me a perfect surgical procedure. Had many questions and concerns going in. After the pre-op visit with the doctor had total confidence and everything went to the letter before and after the surgery. Three months later and it’s like it never happened. No discomfort, no scars, and not sure if I’m in better shape now or before the operation. Thanks again!

Doctor took the time to explain the surgery. How long It should take. Answered all my questions.

Dr.Miter removed my gallbladder this august and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. At my first appointment he went over everything I should expect and made to answer all my questions and concerns. Surgery was just has he explained. He even called my mother to go over what he found. Procedure: gallbladder removal Best bedside manner I've had in a very long time. 1st New patient visit: office was short staffed but very pleasant. There was a patient before me rambling on about his symptoms, and I knew he would take up the doctors time. And as predicted that happened. It was 20 or so minutes passed my appointment time and Dr. Miter came in and apppoligzed for being late. Having worked for a doctor who would never apologize and expected to be waited on. It was refreshing to hear him appoligize & acknowledge my time. Afterwards he was very informative answered all my questions before I even asked them. He was very patient & calm, he did not seem rushed. His assistant, nurse & staff was very polite as well. May 4th, surgery day. Went just as day1. Very polite staff at the sanctuary. Miter needs to go back to training. Over sold and under delivered on hernia repair surgery. Do not see Miter. Better docs must exist. If you do, ask to speak with post-op nurse on typical recovery expectations. Upside, nurses and practice manager are good. Miter is not, IMO!

Run Do not have surgery by this doctor. Absolutely no after care. I almost died at HealthPark ended up in ICU then Tampa General.

Went in to have a cyst removed from the underside of my arm. He numbed the area and removed the cyst. When he started to stitch me up, he started in an area that was not numb. Not a good move. When I screamed he stopped and then continued until I asked him to stop and numb the area. Not impressed. I cannot recommend this surgeon.

This DR is incredible. Great bedside manner, extremely knowledgeable and helped me feel comfortable. Greatly recommend

I had just a small cyst removal surgery and i was treated excellent by the entire staff and Dr. Miter.

Dr. Miter performed outstanding laparoscopic surgery to repair my inguinal hernia on 7/2/18. Three small surgical holes required no stitches. I was at Healthpark Medical Center at 9:30 a.m. and was home by 3:30 p.m.. My recovery was good and I never took anything but Tylenol for pain. Did a Gastric Pacemaker surgery on me a yr ago, told me he was going to a Laprosopic Surgery and ended up opening my whole abdomen from breast bone all the way to belly button. When my husband and I asked him WHY he stated wiggling his fingers, I had to get these in there???? He wasn't going to follow me after my surgery, he was going to have his MA take out my staples and be done with me. I was left with no one to follow my Pacemaker or do adjustments! I also told him I had a big lump next to my surgery site and he told me it was a pocket of fluid and a yr later I find out it's a HUGE hernia that I again have to have surgery to repair and it's a big hard surgery!!!!! If you have thoughts of him doing surgery, run ???? as fast as you can the other way!!!! Simply stated, very professional, knowledgeable in addressing my concerns. Dr Miter preformed my procedure without any problems and the follow up after surgery was good. I have no reservations about recommending Dr. Miter

I just called Dr.Miter office to schedule an appointment. I was referred to Dr. Miter from Lee Convenient Care a couple months. The young lady asked if had in insurance and what name. She ran my insurance and stated it was inactive. I begin to tell her I am employed with the same company. She then told me to contact my HR department. The proper way to have handled this would have been to ask if I had my insurance available to verify if the numbers were correct. First impression means alot.

Very plesent extremely knowledgeable great bedside manner. All around really good kind physician. A valublle physician and a attribute to y.our staff.

I was so fortunate to be referred to Dr. Miter. He really listened to my concerns. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.

They don't come any better than Dr. Miter! Great bedside matter and a skilled surgeon. Great physician Assistant and Staff.

Not very happy. Nicked my husbands bladder while fixing hernia. Hopefully will not have caused unnecessary problem. Have to be cathed for a week.

Had emergency surgery performed by Dr. Miter. I would highly recommend this skilled surgeon!

Was recommend by my dr. I explained what my problem was. He looked at my catscan, saw my problem as a hernia and was going to see and set up a appointment. And get back to me. That was the 28th of April l called 3 times still on follow up call back.

I had a Gastric Pacemaker put in by Dr Miter. My husband and I both were told by Dr Miter that I would have Laproscopic Surgery and that I would have 2 small incision and a little bit of a larger one for the pouch. I ended up having an open abdomen, cut from breast bone to belly button. When asked he said I do not do them Laproscopic, I only do open abdomen. After my surgery I never saw him and was told I would not see him again. My GI had to call him to make him see me. Bad medicine!!!!!

I went to see Dr. Miter for a colonoscopy. Since I first met him in his office I perceived how caring and compassionate he is. He was very attentive and humble. He took time to listen to me and talk to me with a pleasant smile in his face. The day of the surgery I was a little nervous, but after he talked to me I felt comfortable and at ease. He was very professional and respectful during the process. He is a wonderful human being and doctor. Thanks!
