Dr. Darush Rahmani

Update 4 years later 2023. As a new patient diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease I didn’t know anything about it or the treatments available. So when he (dr Rahmani) told me the only treatments (ivig/rituxin infusions) available were too expensive without insurance I believed him. He referred me to a neuromuscular doctor so I could test a study drug while this disease ate away at my lungs causing irreversible damage. When the study drug didn’t work I was prescribed a combination of high dose steroids and cellcept which cost less than $300 a month without insurance. A cost I would have been happy with and easily could have afforded. This drug combination stopped the lung advancement within 3 months and I felt so much better overall. I do think Dr Rahmani is a very knowledgeable and capable doctor, but he chose to send me off to test a study drug when he had proven affordable drugs available to prescribe.

Very calm, patient physician who took time to address my questions & worries. He spent time asking specific questions and doing more research on my health background. I was worried about having Rheumatoid Arthritis (runs in the family), but he explained those conditions in detail and in the context of my particular health. I was very relieved & reassured. He also explained the likely cause of my presenting pain (osteoarthritis) in an area I pointed out, and told me the ways in which I could relieve that pain.. I agreed to x-rays, and sure enough, it was osteoarthritis. I never felt rushed and left his office feeling emotionally reassured. This is my second visit with him in 2 years, and I will continue to see him for follow-ups.

Not a good doctor, is listed as a doctor of osteopathy. I paid over $987 that was not covered by my insurance for my first visit to him. He made me feel like my condition is hopeless and did not even recommend physical therapy. When I mentioned this to him the follow up visit for my test results, he became defensive. No concern for me whatsoever! I then received a bill for $192 for the follow up visit that lasted less than 15 mins in which he gave test results that I had already seen in the MyChart app. Very negative experience!!!

On my first and only visit, I was treated with respect and he listened closely to my history. Weeks later he called with my blood work results only to tell me he saw no evidence of arthritis. Every doctor that’s ever looked at X-rays of the joint sees a problem. Indeed he insisted I bring in evidence. I felt I was on trial. He won’t get the many reports because I’ll never go back. Dr. Rahmani is a very caring rheumatologist. I went for years to another doctor that never spent over two minutes at a time on my appointments. I finally quit going to him, and found Dr. Rahmani and am so much better- taken care of. He stays up on lab testing and that makes a big difference in your treatment for an autoimmune issue.

He is the best .

So far so good. I’ve been working with Dr Rahmani for about 4 weeks now and about to get a diagnosis. Will update as I go.

I had very high expectations, and i felt the appointment was rushed. He spent less 15 minutes with me, and I was a new patient. I will be finding a new Dr.

I have been going to Dr. Rahmani for over a year now and was diagnosed with RA. He has changed my life and has given me hope. He is the most considerate and caring doctor I have every met. He takes the time and listens to your concerns and explains the path of treatment for you. You feel that you are in the hands of goodness and honesty.

Have see Dr. Rahmani 3-4 times in the past several months. He listens intently to my issues and so far has taken care of them as well as directing me for other issues. He is very affable and his staff at Georgetown was very good.

Dr.Rahmani correctly diagnosed my RA and his prescriptions were right on target. I`m very pleased and happy to be relieved of the pain. Extremely comfortable to have him as my RA Doctor. He will always get my my highest recommendation.

I highly recommend Dr Rahmani. Very nice and professional. As a registered nurse, I know his level of care and medical management is appropriate and right on target!

My experiences with Dr. Rahmani have all been positive. He listens intently to my concerns and questions and takes the time to explain his recommendations. I did have concerns about his front office staff and billing accuracy after my insurance company was billed for procedures that were never performed.

Dr. Rahmani listened carefully to the patient's concerns about starting a new treatment for osteoporosis. He explained the options clearly and was not patronizing. He made the patient feel as though the decision was entirely hers and that he would respect her choice. He also described the two ways in which the treatment could be administered and the costs associated with each method. Again, he recommended one, but the choice was the patient's.

I have received excellent medical care from Dr. Rahmani. The staff in the front office are very polite as well as efficient. The medical assistants & lab techs are extremely professional. Phone calls are answered & returned promptly. My overall experience with Dr. Rahmani & staff at the clinic in Georgetown has been excellent.

He is a DO and not as sharp as a Doctor of medicine. I visited him 1 time and that was enough for me.

Although I really liked the Dr. Rahmani his staff leaves something to be desired. From the lady at the front desk to the lady that took my labs, I am going to leave the practice as its important to find quality care especially when you are in pain. I hope he takes the time to find staff that want to help their patients.

Spent 5 mind with me. Listened to my heart and lungs and ordered labs. Called for results week later. Rude staff member called me back. Labs were fine and I quote her: there's nothing else he can do for you. Didn't ask if I had any questions or give me a chance.

Dr. Rahmani is very experience. The office is small. The staff is ok. I highly recommend for anyone that is wanting to see this doctor to get a estimate on price BEFORE getting any services done or get a estimate with your insurance first because this company will charge u for YES, every little thing. They charge you fees like if you were seen at a hospital and it's all legal but the bad thing is that they don't tell you and it is not post it anywhere in the office nor on the papers you signed.

Make sure your covered... Major insurance problems, but the real issue was the way the staff treated us throughout the ordeal. I tried to call a supervisor and could only get the Appointment Desk. Also, trying to work with us on prescription renewal, they made me feel like I was asking strange questions. If you continue to have rude incidents, if you can't get good people, maybe you shouldn't blame the patient or the insurance company.
