David I Freilich

I was referred to Dr Freilich after an ER visit with what at the time was diagnosed as Vertigo. The attending in the ER suggested seeing a cardiologist just to be safe. Dr Freilich was extremely thorough from day one, taking a very detailed history, not being satisfied with not knowing what caused my episode and ordering sequential tests until finally finding that I had some major CAD and needed Triple Bypass Surgery! He was calm and reassuring but at the same time confident and systematic in getting to my diagnosis. I was completely asymptomatic from a cardiac perspective and some might have taken a wait and see approach. I am so thankful that I had a diagnostician as good as Dr Freilich. He truly saved my life. Finally his staff is awesome, from the front office to the back office, top notch professionals and friendly and compassionate!

Failed to take adequate blood work based on symptoms; prescribed statin without checking lipid panel. Not a good listener.

Dr. David Freilich has been my cardiologist for more than twenty-five years. He is highly knowledgeable in his area of expertise as well as most other areas of medicine. In fact, I credit his breadth of knowledge with saving my life. Dr. Freilich is also most compassionate and caring about his patients. I have recommended him to other patients and the feedback I have received from them has always been positive.

I have been a patient of Dr Freilich since 1991 other members of my family for shorter periods of time.I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Freilich to friends and family and have done so many times. Among his many medical credits is a determination to treat his patients to "avoid" problems not just treat them. He is an excellent doctor and person

Dr. Freilich is an excellent and thorough doctor who comes across as genuine and highly competent. I felt at ease with him and comfortable. He received a call from his 96 year old Mother during our consultation and he answered it, while putting it on speaker. He explained to me that he had to answer it due to certain circumstances, and I was perfectly fine with it. In addition to very much enjoying getting a glimpse into his Mother’s character, who was very amusing and quite impressive, I witnessed kindness and rapport from Dr. Freilich towards his Mother that was truly wonderful. It appears that his humanity is equally as impressive as his credentials and skill. Bravo Dr. Freilich!

Dr. Freilich is one in a million! I’ve been his patient for over 25 years. When I was first sent to him by my GP, there were issues with my heart that were difficult to diagnose. Dr. Freilich would not rest until he got to the bottom of it. Turns out I was born with a hole in my heart which had never been discovered. My heart was repaired and I’m going strong! I trust him implicitly and you should too!

Seemed distracted and rushed. Wasn't available for multiple follow ups so was referred to Nursing Practitioner on several occasions. Put off an Echo which would have resulted in an earlier diagnosis and intervention.

Dr Freilich is a wonderful cardiologist who applied his knowledge, skills and compassion to insure that I had the best possible outcome from difficult cardiac procedures.Thanks to his very thorough diagnosis, dedication and leadership Dr Freilich pulled together the best cardiac team to accomplish the required surgery and aftercare treatment that solved my heart problems without any issues or consequences.I thank God for doctors like Dr Freilich who always put their patients as their first priority.Thank you Dr Freilich!!!

Dr. Freilich provided an early diagnosis of a heart problem and recommended a series of tests that led to bypass surgery. His post opertive care has been excellent. He is exteremely knowledgable and inspires confidence. I recommend him without reservation/

I made an appointment with Dr. Freilich at the suggestion of one of his existing patients who highly recommended him. I now know what a detailed cardiac evaluation and follow-up appointment should be like. During my first appt, I was impressed with the time Dr. Freilich took gathering my family history, doing a very thorough exam and ordering appropriate tests to assess my extra heart beats and mitral valve prolapse. During the follow-up appointment, he reviewed the results for all tests he ordered, clearly explained his findings comparing the current tests against historical ones and explained the course of action/next steps. I was extremely impressed with his expertise, thoroughness and caring attitude. I have definitely found a new cardiologist and highly recommend him to others.

I have been Dr. David I Freilich's patient ever since my heart surgery over twenty years ago. He is a wonderful skilled doctor that has managed my heart condition over all these years. I have been lucky to have Dr. Freilich looking after me.

Dr. Freilich has to be the most thorough physician I have ever had. He studies my test results as if I were family. His thoroughness lead to creating a benchmark for my aortic stenosis and bicuspid value which other doctors throughout my life referred to as a heart murmur. My aortic stenosis progressed from mild to severe in approximately five years. I now have a mechanical valve and many more years of life that I do not believe would be the case if I didn't have him as my cardiologist. One of the best life decisions I've ever made.

I have been a patient of Dr Freilich for 15 years. I was having stomach problems and I went to see a internist who thought it could be a heart problem. He setup an appointment with Dr feilich and I needed bypass surgery. I have been under his care ever since. He is a caring and gentle doctor who never missed an appointment or a phone call. He has my complete trust to always tell it like it is.. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a great cardiologist.

Dr. Freilich Has given me a chance to live a full life. For 10 years he has been monitoring my aortic regurgitation condition, never giving up, always looking for new testing, and treatments, as I presented with no symptoms, but probably would have died without his constant monitoring. Three months ago after Dr. Fraelich insisted onExpanding testing, he told me to replace my aortic valve or spend the rest of my life which will be shortened, watching TV. His treatment, care, kindness, and recommendations are why I am writing this review today. He is the most knowledgeable caring cardiologist anyone can ask for, as are many in his group. I am three months post operative, and for the first time in 10 years he told me the other day I have good news for you..,,..you are going to live a long life I have him to thank, and would recommend him highly to anyone with cardiac concerns.

Dr Freilich has been my cardiologist for about 15 years and he, as well as his whole practice, have always impressed me, been supportive, responsive, knowledgeable, and treated me wonderfully. I can truly say that Dr Freilich has ‘saved my life’ not once but twice. He is an incredible diagnostician, and human being, who asks his patients all the right questions, thoroughly and smartly analyzes their answers, reasons in a way that you can understand, and clearly explains what is going on and in a positive and caring way. If it was not for him I would not be here to write this. He is truly ‘one of a kind’, an example of what and how a great doctor should be.

Sixteen years ago I underwent bypass surgery. Since then I have been under Dr. Freilich's care and thanks to his intelligent, methodical and compassionate guidance I have been able to enjoy a productive and very active life. As a teenager and young man while participating on sports teams I had some great coaches. I have another great coach now, he is Doctor David Freilich and he is coaching me on the game of life. He is a great medical professional, not only because of his medical knowledge and methods, but because he does what all really great coaches do and this is his greatest gift. I have been a patient of Dr. Freilich since the summer of 2019 when I presented with a very rare and unique illness. The care he provided was absolutely stellar. His professionalism, expertise and desire to make a difference for his patients is second to none. I highly recommend Dr. Freilich to anyone in need of a cardiologist!n

I went for surgical clearance and at first apt he repeated many questions and dictated the answers. He saw something on the EKG and required an Echo and stress test. I thought I did well, but the next day his staff called and said he required a nuclear stress test- I would not get clearance without it. My insurance co denied as the information sent did not meet the criteria for NST. The doctor appealed and it was denied. When I asked what now, I was informed he was away and they would give to partners. Partners would not make a clearance decision so I requested my records and left. His staff told me no one would clear me and I likely needed cardiac cauterization and possible stents. My surgery date passed. The new cardiologist, based on the report summary I was given consulted with the insurance co and I got approval for the NST. Test results were negative. No cardiac issues. I was cleared . He never spoke to me after the first visit and left the calls to his staff.

I cam to see Dr. Freilich on Aug of 2018 shortness of breathing. I was admitted to the Hospital about 10 days. He ordered all kind of test including echo cardiogram, and stress test. I was still feeling that I have shortness of breath. Dr. Freilich recommend to see Electrophyisologist. After Dr. Michael kartz install ICD I was feeling much better and my breathing was normal. Dr. Freilich one of the best doctor in State of NJ. I am very gratefull to Dr. Freilich. He saved my life.

Dr. Freilich is the consummate professional, and when it comes to caring for your heart, that is the most important thing. He`s totally up on today`s new findings and he blends that with years of practical experience. If this sounds like a fluff piece written by a colleague ,think again. I am a patient who had quintuple bypass surgery three years ago and can thank him, {as well as myself a little bit!] for making me as healthy as I`ve been in years , and with the prognosis to live a long, happy and full life. I would recommend him to anyone , I just wish I could rate him higher than a five.

I have been a patient of Dr. David Freilich since i had my heart attack 5/25/2003. the bottom line is he saved my life. While going to cardiac rehab a year later the nurses a the rehab noticed that my bp and heart rate were off the charts, they called Freilichs office and he saw me immediately, sent me upstairs to the surgeon Dr. John Brown , and i had triple bypass surgery that week. Doctor David Freilich, is the person I would highly recommend to anyone in need of Cardio care. He is very thorough and detailed. He saved my life, I went for clearance for knee surgery, my pulse was high and I was sent for Cardio clearance.. Thanks to Doctor Freilich he detected abnormalities due to 4 blocked arteries in my heart. Since my operation, I continue to use Doctor David Freilich and would highly recommend him.

Dr. Freilich saved my life. He is brilliant! He convinced me to have a heart catherization after an abnormality showed up in my stress test. Although I had no symptoms--chest pain, shortness of breath, etc.- he wanted to rule out a false positive. Because I trusted him, I agreed to the cath. Turns out I had two major blockages in the main artery (the "widow maker") which feeds 40% of the heart muscle. I am so grateful to Dr. Freilich and recommend him highly. He's my personal hero.

I have been a patient of Dr. Freilich for eight years and have always found him to be an outstanding cardiologist. Five years ago I had open heart surgery. Dr. Freilich's follow-up care was excellent at every level. I would definitely recommend him to family,y and friends without reservation.

I have been a patient of Dr. Freilich for many years. After hearing friends voice complaints about their doctors, I realized how fortunate I was to have Dr. Freilich. You have his complete, 100%, attention when you are with him. He is patient and always has time to explain the issues in language easy to understand, for us non-medical people. I saw dr. Frielich twice. Both of the times he said :"there's something going on but I don't know what." He doesn't listen to you at all, he is too busy recording his voice or taking notes, but when you meet him again you realize that he never made copies of all your records. I usually don't write reviews, but this doctor is one of the most irritating I've ever met. He didn't even ty to look for my problem, caring zero for my pain, discomfort and concern!

Excellent doctor! Very thorough and careful. SpendS time to know the patient. My wife and I are both very pleased to have Dr Freilich as our cardiologist.
