I typically see Dr Garras twice a year for a cortisone shot to alleviate soreness in my arthritic toe. I’m an avid walker and this has definitely helped me for several years.

Dr. Garras is great, he gives you all the time you need. Because of that the wait to see him can be excessively long.

Dr. Garras was wonderful, finally a doctor that actually listens to his patients concern’s. X-rays were taken and he found out what my problem was and immediately suggested options for me. I would recommend him to my family and friends. ????

I am very fortunate that Dr. Garras & his team preformed the work they did on my left metatarsal bones. The extent of my injury could have warranted amputation, but with their expertise and dedication they were able to repair the damage to my foot - enabling me to walk normal today. Additionally, with Covid-19 in full effect David and his team were very informative with questions & took safety precautions ensuring the health of everyone around them. Thank you! If you want a down-to-earth doctor who truly listens to you, Dr. Garras is the man to see. I was highly impressed that his first suggestion to correct my foot problem WASN’T surgery. Dr. Garras explains your condition, offers solutions and supports whatever decision you make even if it doesn’t mean surgery immediately. After he successfully operated on my right foot 3 years ago, I returned this January to have the other foot fixed. Recovery is long and not for the faint at heart, but Dr. Garras supports you every step of the way. He is a kind man who genuinely cares about his patients, and a skilled surgeon who can correct the most complicated cases. Highly recommend.

Doctor Garras is very good. I am glad I have him as my foot doctor now. Its been a few years since I went to someone for my ankle problems. I am finally get relief of some of my pain.

Meeting Dr. Garras was most pleasant and friendly. He reviewed my current medical situation, my X-rays, examined my foot and discussed my problem thoroughly. I was fitted for orthotics and an ankle brace after receiving a cortisone injection. His entire team was most attentive and friendly.

Dr. Garras is very friendly and very good at his job. 10/10 would recommend!

He took his time and explained everything listed on my MRI. He also posed different options to care for my foot pain. Entire staff (PA's, nurse) was fantastic.

Dr Garras and his staff are very cool he talks to me like a person not just a patient he gets right to it and tells you what’s up no BS which makes things much more comfy to be there and his staff is friendly and not pushy at all and that’s another reason to be comfy there. Regarding my arthritic ankle, Dr. Garras was thorough, helpful and gave direct answers. His explanation of different options and procedures allowed me to make an informed decision as to what treatment I wanted to pursue. Dr. Garras treated me for a Trimalleolar fracture of my ankle. Throughout my treatment, which included surgical placement of plates and screws. I always found him to be very personable & professional. He’s patient & really listens to my concerns. I would highly recommend him for any ankle-related injuries.

Yes! Dr. Garras is down to earth and explains everything in easy to understand terms. He answers all your questions and has incredibly kind bedside manner.

Dr. Garras evaluated my Achilles problem and set me up for physical therapy, which solved my problem. The alternative was surgery, and I am thankful for Dr. Garras, and his expertises. I am impressed with his knowledge. He was genuinely interested in solving my problem, and I am so glad that I was referred to him.

Dr Garras and his associates were friendly, professional and attentive.

My second visit with Dr Garras. He is the best. Very interested in his patients. Explains things in simple terms and very thorough. When you leave, you truly feel like you accomplished something. You met your goal for your visit. That doesn't happen with many other doctors.

I have had a very positive experience with Dr Garras both before and after he surgically repaired my ruptured Achilles’ tendon. He listens well and addresses patient concerns in a timely and effective manner. I would recommend home to anyone having foot/ankle orthopedic issues.

Excellent, caring, kind, gives thorough explanations, speaks to you, not at you! He performed surgery on my ankle recently, and I am still being seen by him. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

Surgery to replace big toe joint with plate and screws. I still have pain 3.5 years after surgery. Dr. Garry's looked at the x-rays and said, the implant healed well. He did not attempt to address my continued pain.

Dr. Garras is well informed, easy to speak with, pleasant, down to earth and does not rush through the appointment. I felt very comfortable when I left; I understood what was involved with my medical condition, and the choices I need to make.

Always a pleasure

I was admitted to Silver Cross Hospital on October 14, 2019 with my right foot in bad shape. The ER room Dr. said “We may have amputate your toe”. Although Dr. Garras was assigned to my case upon Admission, I did not see him until the afternoon on October 16. He made an on the spot diagnosis that I had gout, decided to aspirate my toe to draw two samples: one for a culture and the other to confirm gout. He left the two samples with the nurse with instructions to enter the order and he told her he would review the Order and enter his notes that evening. He failed to do either. I am not sure a record of this procedure was ever added to the hospital records. The culture came back negative and the gout study was not done. An additional request to check for gout was entered the next day by the Infectious Desease Contrôle Doctor, but we were told there was not enough liquid to run the test. A brief discussion was held and it was assumed I had an infection. From that point Dr. Garras ghosted me. Two months later I have just had an I & D with blood and bone taken by another Orthopedic Surgeon. We are waiting on lab work to confirm both an infection and gout. I still have a picc line and regardless of lab work it will remain in my arm until next year. Following procedures, and following up with your patient, might have prevented months of treatment, significant costs, time, and anxiety. I am contemplating using the M word. Dr Garras is kind, calm, and very knowledgable. He took time to explain my injury and options. A wonderful experience! I wish more health providers were like him and others at MOC.

Dr. Garras is both my hero and my families hero! After a severe car accident in May 2019 I was left with numerous broken bones, sprains and other injuries. Dr. Garras made sure every bone healed the right way while making sure I clearly understood every step of the process. I was able to go back to school in August without any casts/boots etc. Thank you Dr. Garras!!!!

Doctor's treatment was very thorough and explanatory with time for my questions as well as my wife's. Prior to my surgery, he was upbeat and again quite informative about the procedure. My God bless this man and all those who assisted at the Surgery Center and keep them safe and healthy during these very trying times. Dr. Garras has also provided excellent care to my wife, one son and "hands on treatment" to one of our grandaughters during her nurse's training. He is one the best, thank you Dr.Garras!

Well I’ll go back to when I first met Doc. I had sustained an on duty injury. I had one surgery in which made it worse. I was being pressured to retire under disability.... me! Retire at 28 and I could never be a police officer again! I came across doc’s Facebook page at 3am desperately looking for help. Doc and the entire staff are just amazing!! Since my injury to now I’m at 570 miles RUNNING. I went back due to needing a check up since running so much! Doc went over every concern I had and even had me measured for orthotics to wear when running to help even more! Doc saved me I tell him all the time. I’ll make 10 years as an officer in August thanks to Doc for fixing me and giving me all the courage I needed to know I CAN DO THE IMPOSSIBLE!

I am so thankful that you became a Dr. & even more so took me on as a patient. I know I was not easy because of my PTSD. You always had a calming presence & reassured me; even answering 2 pages of questions a couple of weeks before surgery(gave me all the time I needed on multiple occasions). You allowed me to make decisions, never pushing anything on me, just educating & informing me on what you thought was best/would help. It was truly a Dr. patient team. Before 2/4/19 I had very little hope for my left ankle; which became your ankle till you released me from your care. It was a long & hard recovery, but your work was amazing. It took 10months of PT, but at the yr mark on Feb 4 my ankle feels better than it did before. You are a truly gifted surgeon who cares about his patients & his work. I love your sense of humor & your sailor ways. Thank you for being a rarity in the medical field. Kari his Pa is also great from holding my hand in the OR to seeing me to take care of a blister.
