I have always found David Gerlach to be very professional, well informed, and skillful. I have only seen him for issues with my hands, but he has certainly relieved me of the pain with his treatment. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Gerlach has performed multiple surgeries on my hands over the years. I have always been treated with great respect by Dr. Gerlach and his entire care team. He always listens to my reasons for seeing him. He takes extra time to explain everything he is going to do in great detail, so I fully understand what is going to happen during the procedure. Awesome experience all around. I had never been to a TCO clinic before and it was great. Dr. Gerlach immediately identified things that previous physicians had overlooked and came up with a game plan for me.

I have seen Dr. Gerlach several times, and I have always been very satisfied with him personally, and the results of the visit. I'm not terribly excited to need surgery, but I have every confidence that the result be as good as I expect.

I just had an exceptionally great experience with Dr David Gerlach of Twin Cities Orthopedics. I called for an appointment on Monday, was seen on Thursday, and had corrective surgery that same day for trigger finger. Dr. Gerlach is very knowledgeable!!! His staff was very timely and respectful!

Told check in nurse that I had X-Rays done at Nice Health Care (PPX) that could be sent over, they just needed to call and request. She checked me in and brought me to the exam room. After 20 minutes Dr Gerlach came in, to make a long story short He needed to do X-Rays I told them I had already had them done at Nice Health Care, and they could call and get the X-rays sent to them, His response was that they did call and they could not receive them, I found it odd because I called Nice the day before to set this up, So when the Dr left check in I called Nice, their response was that they never received a a call from Twin City Orthopedics, So DR DAVID J GERLACH lied, at this point why would I trust my personal Health Care to someone who lied to my face about X-rays. Dr. Gerlach did address the immediate problem, removing pins from my thumb. However, he did give option to address the continuing joint problem I am having. Yes, the surgery was done by a different doctor who tried to correct the joint problem 3 times. ( I had 3 surgeries) and the problem still exist. I had hoped that by seeing Dr. Gerlach he would help solve this issue. Unfortunately I am still having pain and no idea where to turn. I had surgery done by Dr. Gerlach. He is a great listener and throughly explained the surgery, and post op plan/care. I have no pain after surgery and it was worth it. Highly recommend. I will be back for any hand issues.

Recently my husband Paul saw Dr. Gerlach for a condition in his right wrist. Upon arriving the staff were very pleasant and efficient and he only waited a short time before seeing Dr. Gerlach. After explaining his symptoms Dr. Gerlach knew exactly what the condition was and it's cause. He then explained the treatment options and they agreed to begin with a non-surgical treatment. He is a terrible listener. If he doesn’t know something, he blames it on other medical issues or medications that have no bearing on the situation. He is dismissive and condescending of legitimate questions and concerns and twice attempted to prescribe me medications that would fatally interact with other medications I was taking, which is frustrating to think he isn’t looking at my record at all. After multiple appointments of coming away feeling incredibly unheard, dismissed, condescended to, and pain not being addressed appropriately, I cannot recommend him in any capacity.

I'm 64 and have lived a very physical life that required surgery. 1) left scaphoid wrist surgery caused from a running accident. 2) left and right trigger release from 44 years as a machinist. 3) Right wrist carpal tunnel release and right elbow nerve surgery caused from chasing my passion Tournament Bass Fishing. My surgeon Dr. David J. Gerlach and his team gave me the correct diagnoses and recovery instructions that I followed to the (T). I'm now fully recovered with no pain or discomfort and back to chasing my dreams. Thank you TC Orthopedics!

Nice facility, kind helpful staff, Dr. Gerlach checked my condition and told my options in a friendly professional manner. He also told me how to follow up if/as needed. He done good.

if you're looking for the Best. TCO, DR. Gerlach and all the staff are it. I've had 5 hand surgeries, ranging from carpal tunnel both hands, trigger finger, and 3 finger fusions. Dr. Gerlach explained in detail all that happens befor,during and after my surgeries All staff involved from preop, during and after care treated me like family . Not to mention how fun and friendly Dr. Gerlach and entire staff are, all 5 surgeries was fun for me chatting, joking, laughing. I would highly recommend Dr Gerlach. He does a great job listening and provides options for addressing the issues. He also explains why some options may work better than others, leaving the final decision to the patient. Dr Gerlach is very knowledgeable and I trust his ability to partner with me as I deal with my hand and wrist issues.

I was treated like a nobody! He took X-rays and because nothing was broken, he simply told me it was arthritis of some sort. I asked for a brace for my hand/wrist, but they didn't want to do the paperwork with insurance and I would have had to pay out of pocket. I had had really bad, constant, gnawing pain for many many months, but had been too scared to go in to a clinic because of COVID. So, walking out with no answers and feeling disrespected as well, it was FRUSTRATING!! So, I went to Summit Orthopedics and they looked into why I had so much pain for so long and found I had edema in my scaphoid and put a cast on for six weeks to let it rest to heal. I was told it could have broken at any time because of the stress on it. No arthritis!! I do NOT recommend this lazy and uninterested doctor!! I was treated like a nobody! I've worked with three different doctors over the years with multiple hand issues, and they are all great. Only downside was the late afternoon appointment. The doctor ran late almost an hour - time I would have been paid for at work.

My daughter has seen Dr Gerlach for her trigger finger and elbow pain. She has had a successful outcome of her trigger finger surgery. Her elbow will require surgery. We will definitely be doing surgery with Dr Gerlach.

Dr Gerlach was able to give me more information about my hand problem than the previous 5 doctors I had seen. There was a wait to see him, but it’s easy to see why! Surgery performed was as described and my wrist already feels better. Staff was great. 5-stars!!!

Worst experience ever, look somewhere else.. to me they didn't care how much pain I was in and said if I was still in pain in 2 weeks come back. Scam to keep you coming.. stay away from Blaine, go to different place... and waiting for over 40 minutes just to be seen with about a 10 minute visit... not worth going back at all worst ever experience...

Hello! Meeting with Dr. Gerlach, this past week to look and talk over with the past surgery's I've had that continuing working with my hand and strengthing my hand through therapy at home and gradually regain more strentgh through time.

I was referred to Dr Gerlach by another ortho surgeon after I almost amputated two fingers with a table saw. It was “too complicated” for the first surgeon, but not for Dr Gerlach!! He repaired tendons and nerves in both fingers. The surgery lasted 3 hours!! So grateful for Dr Gerlach’s dedication, especially during this pandemic.

Dr. Gerlach treated the trigger finger on my thumb. He thoroughly explained what was going on with my thumb as well as the available options. My issue was resolved with a cortisone shot, but he also explained the available surgery option if the shot did not provide the needed relief. The shot was very painful but Dr. Gerlach was compassionate and gentle as he administered it.

Dr Gerlach was very professional and knowledgeable. I need ulna nerve surgery and he found I have some carpal tunnel in my other hand. We need to wait until the Coronavirus passes. Read all reviews. Excellent!!! I will definitely be having him do my surgery! Staff was wonderful too!

Horrible experience. Does not listen, arrogant, questioned if I was "really in as much pain as I was", was treated horrible by him. Also he ran an hour behind on all three of my visits. Would not recommend him to anyone even. Didn't even want to give him 1 star, but it was required.

Had quite a few surgeries with Dr. Gerlach. Best surgeon ever. Fixed many things and corrected parts where a surgeon in the past didn’t do such a great job. I have a few more surgeries coming up and with no reservations, Dr. Gerlach will do them!!

Visited Dr. Gerlach in May 2019 with my sister (Christin Buisman) who is in a nursing home. He examined her "trigger finger" and said he would have his assistant contact me to schedule surgery to correct the problem. Never heard from anyone regarding a schedule for surgery. I suspect the problem is with the assistant.

Dr Gerlach was great from start to finish. He was able to diagnose my problem, which was different than what my primary care physician had thought. I guess that’s why there are specialists!! Dr Gerlach treated my daughters wrist for a very complex problem. 2 other hand surgeons turned us away because it was too complex!! After having surgery with Dr G, my daughter doesn’t have pain for the first time in 3 years! We are so grateful for everything!!

Dr. Gerlach and his team are the best! He treated my hand and thumb injury from my motorcycle accident. This was very complex injury and another ortho surgeon (Dr. D, who isn’t a hand surgeon) didn’t even diagnose it right! Dr. Gerlach was able to diagnose and treat everything and his team (Candice and Lisa) helped me through all the details, paperwork, and rehab! I couldn’t be happier!

My thumbs were a horrible mess before I met Dr Gerlach. I was told by other surgeons that I should “just live with it,” but Dr G was able to treat my problem easily! 6 months later and my hands and thumbs don’t have any pain and I can use them like they used to be!!!
