Excellent experience with Dr. Laub from initial diagnosis through subsequent tests, prescriptions, and surgery. Dr. Laub showed good judgement and selected the correct path forward. Results 100%.

Dr. Laub's practice must be the worst office management in town. It is such a pity, because he is a nice guy but he is rather absorbed in his own world and fails to see that his front office is beyond ineffective. They go as far as covering up a complaint, a fax, erratic paperwork, and fail to pass on messages, no manners, rude to patients on the phone. They never call about test results; you feel as though they are doing you a favor. There is simply no follow up or care. Dr. Laub doesn't call back when there is a concern. Changed urologists due to this lack of care. We should've listened to our neighbor and avoid years of being taken for granted. Dr.Laub provided corrective procedures for my elderly father when he was left in a terrible state at the hands of another doctor. Dr.Laub is excellent in his field.

I waited three months for a Urolift procedure and was NOTIFIED ONE DAY BEFORE THE SCHEDULED PROCEDURE that Dr. Laub's clinic did not accept my Blue Shield insurance. Come on! I am amazed that a physician's professional group conducts itself this poorly. The outcome so far? Suffering with unresolved and unaddressed urinary problems for more than a year - and I never heard word one from the doctor himself. I think Dr. Laub may be pretty good, but I had a lousy experience with his office - and due to his office staff I have gone for over a year with a prostate problem and significant difficulty urinating. What was the problem? They had me scheduled for a Urolift procedure at his clinic for three months in early 2020 - and get this - his office notified me THE DAY BEFORE THE SCHEDULED PROCEDURE that his clinic did not accept my Blue Shield insurance!! Let me tell you, this really screwed me up, and I have been suffering with urination problems for more than a year now. Oh, and was his irresponsible office apologetic? In no way. As a matter of fact the woman I was talking to last - and you can bet I was angry - tried to tell me I was the one who made the mistake!!! I'm even more angry today, and I would file a lawsuit if I could be assured I would win. I'm pretty sure Dr. Laub knew about what happened and made no effort to rectify the problem. I would give his office 10,000 thumbs down.

Dr. Laub was recommended by my G.P. when my numbers began to go up as far as my prostate. A very professional person in that he treated me as a person not just a number. I'm a Vietnam veteran who was exposed to Asian Orange which causes cancer of the various parts including the prostate. He diagnosed my problem and treated me without undo pain or worry. He was kind enough to walk me through the entire treatment procedure and put my mind at ease. I totally recommend him.

Dr. read my medical information for the first time during our appt. right in front of me. Did not agree to run test I was sent to him to do in the first place. Did not make appt notes available to me. Wasted my time.

It took a number of weeks to get an appointment, typical of local demand for Urology. Excellent staff on the phone!! Straightforward first time patient paperwork. Warm first name reception by Dr. Laub. In depth discussion followed by effective endoscopic examination. No dilly dallying. Dr. Laub is incredibly skilled in this procedure. There was a monitor and he showed me what he'd found. I cannot remember a better physician visit. This was first rate. Pity he's only my Urologist, but I'm glad I've got that covered with someone as skilled and friendly as he is!

Worst experience I have ever had dealing with trying to schedule an appointment. First day I tried calling at three separate times, no answer. Second day I got ahold of the receptionist, she told me she was unsure whether they accept my type of health insurance (I have PPO, which I know all practices accept) and that she would call me back; never called back. Third day I called again, receptionist said she hadn't yet scanned in the files I had faxed over from previous Dr., and she would call me back once she had; again no call back. This time I tried calling back, the line picked up but then got hung up on. Called again, line picked up and no voice answering on the other end for 30 seconds. Absolute waste of my time trying to deal with this practice.

David Laub did my vasectomy and everything you have ever read about is true: Anticipation awful Anxiety levels pre-procedure exhausting Pain level when he starts working 3/10 Pain level when you leave the office 0/10 (because it's numb!) Discomfort on day 1, when numbing wears off 5/10 Discomfort on day 2 3/10 Discomfort on day 3 1/10 I am now on day 5 and I know something happened down there but It's really no big deal... Accessories important to good healing are ice packs, and tight briefs. Excellent experience with Dr. Laub. I would say he's the best urologist in Santa Barbara. He was able to take care of a urological problem I had quickly and painlessly! What more could one ask for?
