I say Dr Lopez at the Edison office. Staff is very professional and courteous. I was taken to the exam room very close to scheduled time. (which is very unusual) I had x rays taken and will need MRI follow up to determine what course of treatment will be needed. Dr Lopez readily answered any questions I had and left me with confidence in his ability to perform whatever treatment will be necessary.

Excellent coordination of care. Seamless scheduling, prompt service and educated, courteous, knowledgeable professional orthopedic. Dr Lopez is the best !

I have been a patient of Dr Lopez for well over 15yrs. He recently operated on me, a Total Knee Replacement. He is kind compassionate and an excellent Dr. I would not have chosen any other to do my TKR.

I found Dr Lopez himself to be very unprofessional and even rude in his behavior. He seemingly held little regard for the time of others which was extremely off putting.

I was referred to Dr. Lopez by ER doctor because of a fractured hand. My experience as very positive. Staff was cordial, efficient and professional. Dr. Lopez was wonderful - professional, competent and reassuring. I have total confidence in him and the treatment I am receiving. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

I have had substantial previous experience with Dr. lopez over the years. I recently visited him with a stabbing pain in my knee. This knee had various treatments performed on it with no relief. Since I hadn’t seen Dr. Lopez in a few years, I was required to fill out about 10 pages of information which included past history on the knee. After getting an X-ray and explaining my pain, Dr. Lopez gave me a cortisone injection and said that I had osteoarthritis and maybe losing 20 pounds would help. I proceeded to mention all the past procedures we did on the knee over the years. Well, the cortisone shot lasted 5 days. The pain came back with a vengeance. I decided to see another doctor and get a second opinion. I explained my pain. This doctor said that it sounded like a meniscal tear and sent me for an MRI. The MRI showed a lot of inflammation which had created a cyst deep in my knee where a cortisone shot would not reach and have no effect. Won’t ever see Dr. Lopez again.

Have had previous encounters with Dr. Lopez over the years. Recently went to see him due to a recurring knee issue. Since I hadn't been seen in his office for a few years, I was required to fill out 10 pages of information, including past medical history on the knee. When I finally did get to see him, he did not remember me, nor did he review my history. He did not listen to me when I described my pain. Just gave me a cortisone shot and sent me on my way. I tried telling him that we had performed many procedures on this knee but he didn't listen. Well, the cortisone shot lasted 1 week. I went to another doctor because I was not satisfied with the "Its arthritis & maybe you could lose 20 pounds" diagnosis. Turns out I had a lot of inflammation in my knee which had created a cyst. That was the stabbing pain. If I can help it, I will never see Dr. Lopez again.

I had the opportunity to see Dr. Lopez for a problem in my arm. I felt like from the minute I walked into the office I was welcomed and all was taken care of efficiently. When Dr. Lopez saw me, he was able to explain what I needed to do to solve the pain in my elbow as well as what to do in the future. I would highly recommend him, as well as his staff-(which is super important to me!) to anyone dealing w an orthopedic Issue. Appt could not have gone any better and my elbow is improving ! Thank you Dr Lopez and staff!

A couple of weeks ago, my 97 year old mother fell and suffered a head injury that required a trip to the emergency room. The wound not only required stitches but also caused a minor subdural bleed. In addition, she complained of pain on the left side of her hip, but the initial x rays showed no fractures. Over the next few days, her head wound healed completely, but she was wheelchair-bound as the pain on the left side only grew worse and extended all the way down to her knee and sometimes to the foot. She could not put any weight on it. I took my mother to our orthopedist in the belief that the problem was something like a pinched nerve (my wishful thinking). Upon examining her, Dr. Lopez suspected a fracture and ordered additional x-rays and an MRI. I was kind of skeptical that a fracture had occurred because unlike some of her previous falls, there had been no swelling or black-and-blues in her leg or hip. As expected, my mother was not happy with having to go for additional testing given all the effort and discomfort of having to be lifted from wheelchair to the car, then on to tables, that claustrophobic MRI machine, etc. But, sure enough, the new images showed a fracture that according to Dr. Lopez, who called me right away after being called by the radiologist, required surgery, which she obviously was even less happy about, for she claims to be too old for surgical procedures (she has had a few over the years). After much protestation, I managed to convince her to get the fracture repaired and so she was admitted to the hospital that day and operated on the next day. Dr. Lopez inserted a rod in her femur and a couple of screws and she spent 3 more days in the hospital recuperating. After the anesthesia wore off, she obviously felt some minor discomfort and some pain when she had to move her left leg, but the pain was nowhere near as intense as it had been prior to the surgery. Moreover, just this morning and not quite 5 days after the surgery, my mother took a few steps with the walker, something that neither one of us thought she would be able to do again after learning of a broken hip. And she hasn’t even started physical therapy yet! In sum, Dr. Lopez’ diagnostic and exceptional surgical skill will allow ‘the Energizer Bunny’, as our family calls my mother, to become mobile again in no time. We’re eternally grateful to Dr. Lopez and thank him from the bottom of our heart.

Unfortunately I did not get to have my visit. Trisha the person who handles the insurance waited till the day before our visit to let us know they don’t take our insurance. She then proceeded to tell me had we filled out our forms ahead that might have helped. I don’t know many people who fill out the forms ahead of time and email it back to the doctor most of us bring it with us the day of our appointment. And let’s be clear she didn’t even bother to call the insurance company to see if our insurance was taken she put it into the computer and it didn’t go through so she wasn’t sure. So much for going the extra mile God for bid anybody actually go above and beyond or even make an effort. So apparently it was our fault she couldn’t do her job properly. It’s unfortunate because Dr. David Lopez is receiving a negative review because of his office staff and unfortunately you’re only as good as your office staff.

Greeted by friendly, kind staff members who guided me through insurance and COVID info. Dr. Lopez was prompt after I was shown to an exam room and listened attentively to my concerns about my shoulder and knee pain after a recent fall. His examination was thorough, asking me questions during the exam. He then took two X-rays which he showed me and explained the results. I am very pleased with Dr Lopez’ knowledge, concern and explanation of my care. I certainly recommend others in need of a very good orthopedist!

Dr Lopez is very knowledgeable. He helped me with my shoulder issue with home exercises

Terrible doctor left me with more pain and stiffness in my knee then before surgery and after 2 other doctors opinions they said I should have never had the meniscus surgery the tear was to big and should have just had knee replacement I have learned a lot about dr Lopez and even more after speaking with some attorneys he is with out a doubt in my opinion the ultimate piece dog crap doctor I have ever had to deal with so do your research on him first before you see him and look at the reviews there always the same names on every review

My Primary Dr referred me to him for 2nd opinion of elbow pain. Staff was totally professional, nice, understanding of problem. I called and scheduled one appointment and then immediately called back when I realized it was an office a little closer to home and was pleasantly surprised when that got me in sooner to see the doctor. From the screening in to the minimal wait to see the doctor for him to review my problem and his suggestions everything was smooth he said that he listened he didn’t make you feel like you were rushed he answered all questions totally recommend him and his staff

in my opinion the worst doctor i have ever seen had meniscus surgery and have not been the same since i have tried different therapy places and have seen 2 different doctors and they have no idea what this so called doctor did because we have no pictures and i even have a letter from surgery center stating he did not turn in any pics of before or after last thing he said is you will be fine and now have more pain,stiffness,walk with a limp and abnormal gait stay away from him dont become one of his oh well people

Each time I visit Dr Lopez's office, I am completely happy with the treatment from the staff. The staff is friendly and efficient. Dr. Lopez has a great bed side manner. When you leave the office, all questions are answered. I have complete confidence in his abilities. His answers are concise and you are put at ease with his explanations. I would highly recommend Dr. Lopez.

I visited Dr. Lopez for first time today for left elbow. I thought he was very knowledgeable and professional taking the time (without seeming rushed) to fully explain the issue and care. I was very impressed. I would comment that a elbow strap was recommended which I fully support. I would really like to know which kind specifically is recommended. i do not want to choose something incorrectly. The Doctor appeared not to want to identify a make etc. I would have preferred that he would have. However would highly recommend and will give the highest rating.

worse doctor I had simple meniscus surgery I walked in to the surgery center and couldn't stand after the surgery had surgery in august of 2019 couldn't even stand on until late October even now the pain and knee disfunction are unreal went to a different orthopedic and he couldn't belive what condition my knee is in this guy shoundnt even work in a butcher shop go to any other doctor because you will regret using this jerk

Dr. Lopez was kind and treated me with respect and as an aging athlete, not as just a senior citizen. He likes to keep his patients active!

My son unfortunately had an avulsion fracture on right hip this past weekend and had to go to the ER. Dr. Lopez was doctor on call. He made room for us to come into his office Monday morning, even under the circumstances which we really appreciated. His office staff staring from initial call with Gail, was wonderful and caring and great protocol for office visits during this time. He took a lot of time with us and explained everything. He was extremely knowledgeable and we have a solid plan going forward. THANK YOU for helping him and seeing him so quickly, especially during these trying times, very much appreciated!!

I am extremely happy with the care and service by Dr. Lopez and there staff. In this time of crisis with the coronavirus they are doing everything to keep there patients and there staff safe. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

10 Orthopedic Dr's agreed I was injured at Amazon in 2015 and needed surgery from the 2015 work injuries. Dr Lopez blamed a surgery in 1994 which I never had. Only Dr Lopez did not take the time to read or look at an MRI of that same knee 4 years later which proved I never had the surgery in 1994 Dr Lopez blamed the 2015 work injury on. DR Lopez ignored the 1998 MRI as of Feb 22 2019 causing the judge & her pals or legal associates from amazon to give me far less $ and no further medical paid by amazon for that injury

My first visit to Dr. Lopez's office was because of my wife's experiences with her knee and my meeting him with her issues. My own problems was with one shoulder. The doctor is an excellent listener and communicator. His approach is step by step to determine the best approach and a understanding of the patients past physical activity and future goals. Dr Lopez and his staff were above and beyond outstanding. Upon my initial visit, surgery to repair my fractured right elbow, right through to discharge there was not a fault to be had. I had never experienced any post op issues with surgical hardware and followed through with physical therapy as Dr Lopez advised. I am very satisfied with his technique and my final outcome. My visit with Dr. Lopez was thorough and compassionate which were the reasons I left my previous doctor who dismissed me without running any tests. Dr Lopez ordered the tests, helped with the pre-authorizations and reviewed the results in detail with me. We then set out a course of action we were both comfortable with.

Did replacements on both knees he was terrific

I was able to get an appointment when I needed one. He gave me the pros and cons of certain procedures and allowed me to decide what I wanted to do. He performed an arthroscopy of my shoulder and did a fantastic job of addressing the problems.

After a family member recommended Dr. Lopez, I visited him for the first time this past week. He is very professional, informative, and answered all my questions. He took his time with me and did not rush my time with him. Overall, I had a great experience.

DR Lopez used either false or incomplete past knee injury reports from The NJ death Doctor Hochberg of Rahway state prison as his soure. DR Hochberg was not even a qualified orthopedic surgeon at the time he wrote surgery reports and performed surgery in his bake office room as he was not qualified to perform surgery in Hospitals and surgery centers . DR Lopez did no further investigation to get full reports instead he only used parts of a surgey report that benifit Gallapher Bassett to deny

Dr. Lopez is fantastic. No large group run around here. Had a total hip replacement and in one month I felt 10 years younger. He's s nice guy too. Rare find these days. Thank you Dr. Lopez

I will recommend Dr Lopez, he did my shoulder arthroscopy. I was in a lot of pain, unable to do my work. Until I saw Dr Lopez, he brought my life back, and able to return to work. And able to be with my family pain free. He is very kind, caring. The entire process was excellent. Thank you Dr Lopez

100% would I recommend Dr. Lopez to anyone. He did a total knee replacement on my right knee and then did an arthroscopy on my left knee to repair. Overall experience has been positive, the staff is friendly and Dr. Lopez is professional and caring, listening attentively to patient. The long wait in the examining room is because before coming in, Dr. has reviewed you chart and is ready to respond to you.
