If you have a medical exemption for unvaccinated kiddos you will be turned away. It’s weird how most doctors truly don’t help people but is political/payment issue when it comes to vaccines.

Pam the office manager is extremely unprofessional. She is argumentative and then turns around tells Dr Lowery that she is the victim. He only listens to her and gets on the phone and is extremely rude. I was taking my son to this office for his whole life and won’t be retuning. I will admit I had a balance due but it was because Pam refused to take my insurance and rerun the appointment so I never paid. Which is on me. They will charge a service fee of not paid and that was well over $300 over 2 years. Be careful with Pam. She will victimize herself after belittling you. I am very frustrated with the doctor at this office. I want to start off by saying that everyone else has always been very kind to us. However, it seemed every appointment that we had, there was either no record, or the doctor had no recollection of what we had discussed at previous appointments. I felt rushed as he stood by the door the whole time, hardly looking at my children at all. Specifially, with one instance regarding my infant's weight, I was given advice by the doctor, and then the next appointment was all but outright chastised for following the exact advice I'd been given a month previously. Also, regarding his cradle cap, I was advised to make an appointment with a dermatologist who then prescribed a basic ketoconozole shampoo and ointment. I'm unsure why the pediatrician couldn't have ordered that himself. Regardless, at the next pediatrician appointment, it was suggested I just use Selsun Blue shampoo 3 times a week. I find myself wondering if that would have saved me the $106 dollars copay at the dermatologist, plus the almost $50 in prescription shampoos and creams, if I could've just purchased a $7 bottle of Selsun Blue. Needless to say, we are moving on to an office where I hope we will be listened to more carefully, and feel like the doctor actually takes the time to recall what has been discussed in previous appointments. Switched to this office after long waiting times and rushed visits at our previous office. We are never in the waiting room for more than 10 minutes. We are in and out but I always feel heard when voicing concerns and feel the providers are very thorough. So glad we switched!

Dr. Lowry and his staff are wonderful people. Kind, supportive, great with the kiddos, and professional. Although at first blush, Dr. Lowry's bedside manner might seem distant, I could really tell that he actually cares very deeply about his patients. I felt that my daughter was always in good hands under his care, and I will take her back to Platte County Pediatrics if I move back to the area. I highly recommend this practice. They accept all insurances to include medicaid, and accommodate for alternative vaccination schedules (for example, if you are like me and prefer to spread the vaccinations out over a couple of weeks). Dr. Lowry and his staff are wonderful people. Kind, supportive, great with the kiddos, and professional. We have been seeing Dr. Lowry since my now 4 year old was 6 months. He's our ped for both of our boys. Just a couple of highlights- he met me at his office after hours to stitch up an eyebrow when my baby was 8 months. He's answered his phone on a Saturday and called in a much needed medication. He's answered his phone at 9PM when my two 22 month old suddenly broke out in a head to toe rash at Target and I freaked out. He's been spot on in catching things that I would have never even considered. He's quick and efficient which I actually really appreciate. Double recommend if anyone is looking for a pediatrician. Also,office staff is also super easy to communicate with, always answer the phone, and I've never been put on hold that I can think of. Best pediatrician around! Passionate and will get to the bottom of anything! Love him and his staff!

Dr. Lowry has been very helpful with both my special needs/high medical needs and typically developing child. He and the staff are always helpful with getting necessary referrals. He answered the phone and called in a prescription on a Sunday/holiday weekend!!! Couldn’t ask for a better doc!

Best pediatrician EVER! My 3 sons go here!

Dr. Lowry is great, efficient and honest. Love that he has urgent hours every weekday morning and answers even when his office is closed.

Dr. Lowry has taken care of all three of our girls. This month he found a heart murmur with our one year old that had recently developed. She was in serious need of heart surgery. We have received excellent care from his referrrals. After surgery, Children's Mercy cardiology let us know our pediatrician did a great job finding this issue. We cannot thank him enough for saving our little girl.

Put simply, he's the best!

Dr. Lowry really cares about the children he serves. My kids have needed to see him several times this school year and he always makes room for them. He refers them on to specialty providers when needed but provides great care himself. He also avoids medications that are not needed and takes time with parents and kids to educate them about their options.
