I had two hip replacements done by Dr. Marcu. He did a great job and I am so thankful for him and the other staff that helped me get back to normal everyday life.

I tried everything possible to avoid a shoulder replacement but when I was no longer able to do or enjoy doing too many things without pain, I contacted Dr Marcu. Having worked with him for many years with my shoulder issues and having always been given thoughtful and sound advice, I felt confident when he suggested it was an appropriate time to replace the shoulder. Although not looking forward to the recovery time, I agreed after the process and expectations were very clearly laid out for me by Dr Marcu. From start to finish everything was courteously and professionally handled by Dr. Marcu and the staff at Orthopedic Associates and Sauk Prairie Healthcare; they were all nothing short of amazing! The reverse shoulder replacement was successful with no complications and little pain post-op. As I continue to regain my range of motion and strength, I am now able to look forward to doing the things that were too painful before the surgery. Dr Marcu proved himself to be a highly skilled surgeon as well as someone very easy to work with and trust. Dr. Marcu is straight forward and honest when discussing the procedures. He is friendly and conveys a feeling of care for his patients. I had my right hip replaced on Aug. 24,2021 with Dr David Marcu, and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH MY RESULTS. I waited to post this as I wanted to be 12 weeks out from my surgery. My results were exactly what I had hoped for and expected. I am pain free. I no longer have to sleep in my recliner at night. I am back in my bed! I can wear footwear other than the tennis shoes I have worn for the last 4 years, any kind of heel gave me increased hip pain. My limp is gone and I can ascend or descend a flight of stairs consecutively. I am walking for exercise again. I got my life back! I had my left hip replaced 18 yrs ago at Sauk and went back because of that previous positive experience. The new hospital and campus are beautiful and easier to navigate. The staff is excellent. Housekeepers, Food Service, PT, Nursing, Pre-op and Post Recovery, OR, and last but not least the Doctors. They listened. Together we developed my surgical and recovery plan. I did what they told me (exercises pre and post surgery), just as they laid out. So Thank you Dr Marcu and staff and Sauk Prairie Healthcare. Dr. Marcu and his staff are very supportive and informative. I have had both right and left shoulders repaired by Dr. Marcu. Both had labrum tear and left had rotator cuff tear. I have recovered 100% from right and 80% at 6 weeks on left. Insurance first denied surgery, but Dr. Marcu understood how much pain I was in and went to bat for me to convince insurance company. I had a knee replacement in December of 2020. I was nervous however the results were "no more pain"! The staff, inpatient and outpatient were informative and caring. The physical therapy was actually something I looked forward too, during COVID it was great to focus on rehab. Dr. Marcu was honest and encouraging with the procedure and I was back in the water in 6 weeks and swimming at 9 weeks. I saw Dr. Marcu for severe arthritis in my right hip. After an exam I scheduled a replacement with no pressure from Dr. Marcu. About 8 weeks later Dr. Marcu examined my other hip. After a very honest, caring visit I scheduled a bilateral hip replacement. Dr. Marcu is an incredible listener and answers any questions you have. He gives you the options and is great at letting you be comfortable with the decision he lets YOU make. June 10, 2021 I had surgery to replace both arthritic hips. I could not have written a script for recovery to go this well, as I am only 7 weeks post op. Dr. Marcu has found what he was put on this earth to do. I can't say enough good things about his skill as a surgeon and a physician The same can be said for each of the staff that attended me during my stay at the hospital. All were INCREDIBLE!!! I would recommend Dr. Marcu and his entire staff without hesitation and have already done so.

I had a total knee replacement. I was happily surprised at every turn. It was a wonderful experience for me. I was so worried I'd be having to have some take of me and that wasn't the case. No real pain, the Pt people were great also. Thank you, I can do yard work again, walk and even sit and stand up no pain. Stairs no problem!

Dr. Marco is great, my shoulder surgery was successful. The whole hospital experience was wonderful.

I have had poor experiences at several local hospitals and do not use them any longer. This was my first experience in Sauk Prairie and am very impressed. First, the Sauk Prairie hospital is an outstanding facility. The nurses, doctors, staff, and kitchen are all caring and wonderful people. Their professionalism in taking care of their patients are second to none. After hearing many wonderful things about Dr. Marcu, I contacted his office to inquire about having him take on my shoulder problem through VA community care due to all surgeries with the VA were cancelled due to COVID. They said they would and, a week later the VA had it set up with their office and 2 weeks later, I saw Dr. Marcu. The first visit we scheduled a tentative date approx a month later for the surgery and began all the pre-surgical stuff. The entire time Dr. Marcu and his office kept me up to date with the entire process and prepared me for the day of surgery. The surgery went great and with each follow up visit my shoulder was stronger and stronger. Now 6 months after the surgery, my shoulder feels better than it has in over 15 years. Dr. Marcu did my hip replacement surgery and I couldn't be happier. My recovery was wonderful ! I highly recommend him. He is also very personable and will make you feel very comfortable. His staff and everyone at the Hospital from the moment I arrived for my surgery were wonderful I can't thank them enough for making my short stay after surgery as comfortable and pleasant as they could.

His bedside manner is superb. He relates well. He is kind, gentle and listens well. He relates to his customers without talking down. He clearly knows what he is doing!

DR.Marcu and the sauk prairie hospital in general is amazing. I would highly recommend him and this hospital to anyone who is in need of a joint replacement. Very professional and very good at what they do. I was terrified about my hip replacement surgery but now that it is over I am so glad that I did it. I was up and walking right after surgery and my pain was instantly gone. I was expecting a large scar from the incision but seriously it is no longer than my finger. Amazed that they could do what they did with such a small incision. the staff at the hospital was very good and kind the nurses were all very friendly and the whole process before and after surgery was very smooth

Fantastic - I had both of my hips replaced by Dr. Marcu. The first couple of days after surgery were tough, but then nothing but speedy recovery. I feel better than I have in a long time. I highly recommend him and his team. Nothing but professionalism, and they really know their craft. You will be well taken care of!

A friend that works with Dr Marcu recommended him. 40 years old and making a decision to have a full hip replacement mentally wasn’t easy for me. Owning a business that solely relies on my body and performance made it tuff to make that decision. My first appointment with Dr Marcu, I felt welcomed, relieved, and excited to have the procedure done. Everything was explained very well. The whole experience, from surgery beginning, to being wheeled out was superb. The staff has it down right, the food was great, and service 1st class. Everyone makes you feel at home. I'm very pleased with my surgery from all my surgeries that I had I was in very much in pain all the time and I was very pleased with the hospital staff and all my doctors that I had and dr. Marcoux was by far the best surgeon I had for my knee it smells wonderful doctor my knee is healing very well and feeling great

Six weeks ago, I had a knee replacement. I would highly recommend Dr. Marcu and Sauk Prairie Healthcare. I was treated very well. The joint class and Online Care Path answered my questions and were very informative.

Richard Galitz had right hip replacement on Dec. 20th,2019. He is doing just great!!! He has had very little pain and doing everything he has always done. Dr. Marcu did a wonderful job and is a great man! Keep him on board as long as possible.

What started out as a traumatic day was quickly remedied, thanks to Dr. Marcu’s quick, precise diagnosis & treatment of our daughter’s injury. When I first met Dr. Marcu after choosing him based on his profile I had read online, I was extremely happy to see how well he listened as I gave him the history of my knee's.We discussed replacement for my partial as my knee was in need of replacement. My right knee was also in need of replacement, so one of the decisions was about which knee to do first. We discussed the options, and I choose to do the partial first. We had a very good conversation as he talked to me about alternatives to surgery in case I was not aware of the other options. My choice was to get the partial replaced first, then the other knee. That was about a 18 months ago. I have had both knees done and have had very rapid recoveries on both. I needed on tylenol just days after the surgery, and recovered way ahead of normal projections. I currently work 2 jobs, and have no restrictions. Both of my knee's bend beyond the 120 degree goals and I am able to enjoy fishing, and hiking with my family members. The scare's on both knee's have almost disappeared. I would,(and have)recommend anyone that has knee problems to see Dr. Maru. From the moment you walk into this well designed facility you will be treated with kindness and respect. Your personal care will be addressed prior to your surgery with a well-trained staff who prepare you for your surgical experience with candor and humor. Prior to your surgery you will be introduced to the members of your team including financial, pharmacy and anesthesiology. Dr. Marcu demonstrates high technical skill in the operating room as well as a compassionate bedside manner. After surgery you will meet the physical therapy team who prepare you to be as independent as possible going home. From there the physical therapy team that you work with several times weekly will help you achieve the goals that will give you the mobility to do all the things you have not been able to do for some time. Dr. Marcu provided exceptional care and experience for me. Being a health care provider myself, I was always impressed with his management and care of patients. His outcomes were excellent and the word from his patients was always positive about their experiences. I had a meniscus tear with a bucket-handle tear (it was blocking my knee from bending and straightening fully). I became a patient of Dr. Marcu's and found exactly what I was hoping for. Dr. Marcu not only helped me in the short term, but was also looking out for my long-term outcome. Albeit it may have been easier to snip out the tear and clear the joint (Dr. Marcu saved and repaired my meniscus). This will prolong the functionality of my knee for many more years to come. Dr. Marcu is amazing. He replaced my shoulder in December and I am doing great. He is knowledgeable, attentive and caring making my experience even easier. I have only taken 3 (total) pain pills since I left the hospital. Also...his stall is wonderful. So glad I went to him.

I saw Dr. Marcu a numbers of year ago for a left knee meniscus repair and he did an excellent job. So when I needed to have carpal tunnel release surgery and found out he did those he was my number one choice. I am very thankful he did my right hand two weeks ago and will be doing my left hand in about two and one-half weeks. Thank you Dr. Marcu!!

Dr. Marcu has preformed a total knee replacement for both of my knees. He did a wonderful job, I am walking so much better already. I have no concerned about his skills and competency. He always listens to my concerns and answer my questions, (even if some seem silly, I ask) I appreciate being treated with respect as an individual person. He works with an excellent team, I was given enough good information to make an informed decision about having the surgeries.

I have had both my hips replaced by Dr. Marcu. Everything that Dr. told me was going to happen and when it was going to happen actually did! This Dr. and ALL his staff are the best at what they do! I had both knees replaced. From the first day I met with Dr. Marcu and his team they explained about the surgery and recovery. They answered the questions I had, set up my therapy and future appointments and explained the exercises needed to build up muscles before and after surgery. It’s been seven weeks since my last knee replacement and I am able to stand, dance and go up and down steps without going one step at a time. I’m able to walk longer and farther without any pain. I’m glad I made the call to Sauk Prairie Health and I have to give Dr. Marcu and his team an A+ for the outstanding work they did.

Good 4 year checkup with the doctor, knee doing great. How come only 3 seconds of face time in the commercial considering Dr. Marcu is the eye candy of production. Look at him at Tom Cruise side by side and you would think they were twins

I have recommended DrMarcu to several of my friends. I had left rotator cuff repair and have excellent results. I have no problems at all with that shoulder and my movement is as good as it was before the injury!

I had both of my knees replaced in 2016 by Dr. Marcu. He listened to my concerns and let me decide how soon after my first knee replacement I felt comfortable doing the second knee. He has great bedside manner and I was very comfortable with his staff. Dr. Marcu also performed Carpel Tunnel surgery for me. I’ve had great results with both surgeries.

Dr Marcu is amazing! I had a full knee replacement. I like how he follow-ups with me to see how things are going. He is great surgeon, great bedside manner and also has awesome staff.

I have had both knee's replaced, and have been extremely happy with the whole process. Dr Marcu listened very well, and had a good plan that worked for my situation. Dr. Marcu performed a meniscus repair on my knee. Dr. Marcu was excellent! Being a health care professional myself; I knew the kind of Orthopedic approach I was seeking. Dr. Marcu wanted to preserve as much of my meniscus as possible. I had prior knee injuries and surgery in my youth. We discussed the importance of preserving as much meniscus as possible to think about my long-term prognosis. Ruptured my right rotator cuff in weight training and was evaluated by Dr Marcu within a few days of my injury.Treatment options were discussed in detail.We decided surgery was my best option.Surgery went very well and I made a full recovery within 6 months of surgery.I was extremely appreciative of the great care I received from Dr Marcu and his team.

Dr Marcu did a reverse Total Shoulder Replacement for me. I found his work pre- surgery, actual surgery and post op, to this point, to be outstanding. Dr. Marcu is professional, knowledgeable, understandable and friendly. I have had several orthopedic procedures in the last 12 years by an excellent surgeon (who went into research) and Dr. Marcu is at least as good. He is a fabulous orthopedic surgeon and I can really attest to that having over seven surgeries in the last five years due to aggressive RA late onset-both knees, three surgeries on right hip and now Dr Marcu replaced both shoulders. He went over and above to make sure I received the care needed to make my recovery over the top of even my expectations. Because of this wonderful young physician, I have my life back. Sauk Prairie Hospital and the entire Orthopedic staff is outstanding
