Reviews for David Morrison
My 8 month old daughter just had strabismus surgery on both of her eyes... I can’t even begin to describe how thankful I am for Dr. Morrison. Due to Covid, our first appointment was via zoom. He knew EXACTLY, just by looking at her through a computer screen what was going on with my daughters eyes. This man is VERY smart, educated and knowledgeable when it comes to the health and correction of the human eye. Period. He was VERY thorough when describing WHAT was going on with my daughters eyes, as well as what (most likely) needed to be done. He knew instantly, that the chances of her needing surgery for correction were high, and made us feel, without a single doubt, okay with the idea. (I mean 6,000+ surgeries of this kind? Come on. It’s a no brainer on who’s lucky to have who). We saw him in office for my daughters second appointment once Covid calmed down a little, thoroughly impressive. Just an amazing pediatric doctor / surgeon. My daughter seems so much more aware of her surroundings... I couldn’t begin to thank Dr. Morrison enough. Which leads me to also thank Vanderbilts Children’s Hospital for having such an amazing doctor on staff. We love you, Dr. Morrison.... My kids love Vanderbilt Eye Institute. Dr Morrison does a wonderful job everytime! Everyone has down falls, he is not a very social person. But on the plus side, if you ask questions, he always explains them thoroughly. Dr Morrison is an intelligent doctor, who helped both of my children with completely different situations. He explained the processes and options very well. My kids love Vanderbilt Eye Institute. Dr Morrison does a wonderful job everytime! Everyone has down falls, he is not a very social person. My two daughters both were new patients and received the same type of eye exam, but one's bill was a lot higher than the others. They gave us no explanation for the difference. I'm reporting them for insurance fraud, for charging for services that weren't rendered.
Arrogant! This doctor is the most arrogant pediatric physician I have ever met. He saw my daughter at 6 months old because one of her eyes was wandering or would cross. He did not explain anything, he quickly dilated her eyes and the had me sit in the chair while he held several lenses to her eyes. Told me without explanation that he would put her in glasses, she is far sighted and that she would leave them on or he would put drops in her eyes that would make her very uncomfortable and she would want to want to wear them. No one else in my family wears glasses so I am not educated on the topic. I asked if glasses are necessary or would patching one eye would be a better start and he got very annoyed and insisted that people can and do “grow out of” needing eye glasses. I found this hard to believe and questioned it only to be scolded by the person I was hoping to trust with my child’s vision. We will not be back to this doctor! Arrogant! If you need adult strabismus surgery like I did, I would look outside of Vanderbilt for help. After Dr. Morrison’s malpractice, I’ve had vision loss in my left eye and was left in much worse shape than I was originally. He also has no problem at al lying to your face or talking down to you when confronting him about his failures. Overall, an arrogant, uncaring surgeon.
