Dr. David Patzer

Maybe this will get your attention….If you don’t tell me when my appt is supposed to be then how will I know? I’ve been ignored over and over…

I have been a patient with csp for many years and seen quite a few therapist there. I even had the pleasure of seeing Dr Nyquist for awhile. Dr. Nyquist started the practice but a sold awhile ago. The nurse practitioners I saw were good but the thing is there is high turnover at this office. The office staff are also nice the problem is Dr. David Patzer. He is the director of practice now. As many of therapists left I had to see him on one occasion. I’m a pretty easy going person but this was the most uncomfortable medical appointment I have ever experienced in my life. He was rude and condescending. I have never left a doctor and felt I do not trust you until this day. . I will not give details of the appointment bc again I don't trust him! At this point I mentioned needing a referral from my primary doctor to see someone else. My primary told me I was second patient to mention Dr Patzer and he told me to let google be friend. So let me tell you before going to this practice google Dr David Patzer in Arizona. It seems he had to leave practicing in Arizona. If a looking for a new place for therapy this is not your place. The high turnover of therapist is bad and Dr Patzer is over seeing everyone.

What is the problem? A month later, and still yet the same results. No answer, no response.

I used to see Dr Patzer at another clinic but he abandoned all of his patients with no warning. Totally unethical.. He was also very inconsiderate and would often mess up my prescriptions when I did see him.

Dr. Patzer, personally; is a good one. I haven't had any issues with him and I've enjoyed our sessions. Unlike most other psychiatrists who mainly care about the medicine, want to bounce you around on medications and generally just quickly rush you off; he attempts to talk through issues and makes sure what he suggests will be helpful. Much less he doesn't force you into medication if you don't want it. I will note the office staff and trying to get appointments set up are a hassle though. My biggest complaint there is being told when my appointment will be versus actually discussing it to make sure the day/time can be upheld and works with my own schedule. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get in to see Dr. Patzer but this rating is for his office staff. I called to see if he was accepting new patients and was immediately turned off by the demeanor and lack of professionalism of the gentleman who answered the phone. After providing insurance information and demographics I was then asked to provide a credit card number. When I questioned why a credit card was needed to schedule an appointment I was advised this was 'office policy'. I explained I was not comfortable providing my card number over the phone and asked if I could speak to the office manager. He complied but advised that she would 'tell me the same thing'. I spoke with the office manager and she advised taking a credit card upfront was again 'office policy' and explained they got this information in case you didn't show up for your appointment. I then reiterated I wasn't comfortable leaving a credit card number and I'd never been asked to do such in the past. She then said 'well maybe you need to find another mental health provider' and abruptly hung up the phone. Hes unethical and not empathetic. He only works part time and wont help you if you are in need in between sessions.

dr. patzer has worked with me for years and has always listened attentively. he’s always known what is best for me because he’s a great listener & cares so much about his patients :-)

Dr. Patzer was extremely friendly and accommodating, I would certainly recommend him to others.

Misanthrope whose own troubled past ( see sanction ) seems to color his practice.
