Excellent service from staff and Dr.

My first visit in 2019 was so awesome and welcoming! However, when I went in to schedule an appointment last week, I was very rudely and abruptly told that I would need to call my vision insurance carriers because, apparently, my insurance cards were not in the system. Fast forward to today, my insurance rep reached out to the office to assist me with the issue, to which she was told my insurance was not accepted there. Now, I guess they thought because I was Black, that I would spaz out if they would have relayed that information to me, but all they did was create a headache that could have been handled last week. I get it. There is not a large population of Black people in Wood County, aside from those of us who have ventured here because of BGSU. Great doctor! Have been going to him since I was 8 years old (i'm in my 30s now) and going in feels like visiting a family member. Is extremely kind and thorough. Couldn't ask for a better eye doctor!

Dr. Scherreik is such a caring and great eye doctor our family has been going there many years and wouldn't go any where else.

BGSU students, look no further for an eye doctor that makes you feel like you've been their patient for years! As a new student at BG, I was nervous about establishing a relationship with a new eye doctor. I knew within a few minutes of my first appointment that I was in great hands! I truly can't speak highly enough of Dr. Scherreik. He's unbelievably personable, passionate about what he does, informational, and it is crystal clear that his priority is you and not profit - which is a rarity. Dr. Scherrick is fantastic! He is very thorough and friendly. I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful doctor helping to care for my eye sight! He is great!

Dr. Scherreik is easily the best eye doctor I have ever seen, and I've seen quite a few. He is professional, knowledgeable, personable, and kind. His staff was very helpful as well.

This doctor is awesome and really good for those of us who don't like our eyes being messed with. Ask him about his research he did with sports balls and eye protection! Super interesting.
