Best doctor in the practice. He takes his time to answer all your questions. He will make sure to look over all of your issues and not just one and make you reschedule like other offices do.

I will be changing my primary care physician to someone else after my experience with his office staff today. I have never encountered such a rude, unprofessional office staff in and doctor's office. Dr. Schneider himself is just okay. I feel like he rushes through the appointments. But since I've only seen him twice I can't comment further. But the woman in his office, I think her name is Erica is quite possibly the most rude, condescending, and deliberately unhelpful person I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Erica or whoever it was told me that patients were responsible for doing all of their own referrals. Umm, no, that's not how that works. Referrals have to come from the doctor's office, not the patient. Not to mention that patients won't know proper procedures, ICD-9 codes, etc. Simply ridiculous. If you're too lazy to do YOUR job just save us all the trouble and tell us that so we can go somewhere else.

For the very first time visit, I expected Dr Schneider to be more thorough. I brought with me, health records from my Oncology Clinic, but Dr Schneider didn't even take time to discus the blood work results.

I have seen Dr Schneider for the past 20 years. He is always compassionate, thorough, amd knowledgable. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Front office staff is terrible. Doctor required me to take complete blood test when I asked for drug refills, that I had been taking for 20 years. A month or two later, submitted a request for another refill and the office called and said I needed to make an appointment for a refill. Ridiculous. Also, the only time I was in the office with a medical issue, I was referred to two other places. Following my blood test I was referred. I want a doctor who can consult and treat me, not spend three minutes with me and then refer. I’m done after four visits and have arranged to get established with a new primary. My family and I have been going to Dr. Schneider for about 2 yrs. I think he is great! He has "read" my medical issues accurately and is always compassionate. I personally have enjoyed Dr. Schneider’s care. He addressed all of my concerns, listens, and cares about my health. Dr. S is a friendly, down to earth kinda person that I would gladly recommend to friends and family!

I thought Dr. Schneider was a God-send, finally someone that can help me with my back after years and understand I can’t afford fixing it permanently. Then he’d tell me I need to make an appointment for every single refill, even though to my face he said every 3 months. I have no money I can’t afford doctors trips like that. I came in for an appointment and was treated horribly by the front desk receptionist named Carol. She made fun of me and mocked me when I told her that I did not appreciate her customer service skills. She then tried to have me placed in her supervisors office as if I needed to be isolated from my appointment. Dr. Schneider is amazing and that is why I drive all the way from San Antonio to see him. The unprofessional behavior from Carol was disappointing, especially since I am in the medical field and would never make a patient feel humiliated and upset. There is obviously a lack of customer service skills with their front desk and they need to fix that fast because there are to many choices in medical doctors and having nasty people attending to check people in will make paying customers flee and write bad reviews like this. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Schneider for about 3 years and I really like him. He’s friendly, relatable, knowledgeable, and explains things clearly. The one area I think he could improve on is his callbacks. I never get callbacks to discuss lab work results even if the results show something that needs to be addressed. I always have to call his office to find out. I think it’s really important to call patients back to discuss test results even when the results are normal/negative. Not everyone is as extroverted as I am and they may not call to find out their results if they assume that not getting a callback means everything is ok when it’s not. I'm a picky person, hate going to the doctor. Dr Scheider is excellent, thorough and personable. Wait times are low, which is a massive plus with my schedule.

Makes me wonder if he is a real doctor. He walks into the room with his laptop and a list of specialists to refer you to. ALL HE DOES IS REFER!!! Stay away and get yourself a real doctor. Dont give this man your money!!

So i finally get to see a Dr. After 5 of the most excruciating days of my life. I have multiple disk disease which usually causes one or two bad episodes a year. This year it happened on the worst day... the day most dr's were closing their doors for the week. I absolutely suffered for 5 days. Most of the time my chiropractor has been able to deal with it in under an hr but he just retired and his replacement hurt me worse. For the 1st time in 10 years i need 24 hr pain management until it stops. Dr Schneider perscribed me 1 pm pill (muscle relaxer) before bedtime. Night 1- I woke up at 3am in horrible 6-7pain. Night 2- woke up in extreme pain at 4am. Counting the minutes until his office opened i stretched and cried in 8-10 pain. Well i finally get an assistant on the phone who then relates my plea for something in the day only to have him reject it. He said to put heat on it and take some ibuprofen. Well, if that would have worked the prior 7 days i probably wouldn't have sought out his assistance. I searched for hrs for the right NEW dr, and in the end I chose wrong. I suppose it's another situation where the common man is punished for the sins of the bad guys (opiate crisis) I feel that i was pegged for someone who was pill shopping and it hurt more than just my back and dying leg. My son was worried about a problem he had ,Dr Schneider acted quickly and now hes in great health Thank You

My father was a patient of Dr. Schneider's for a few years. My father is in his 60's and wasn't really caring for his diabetes 2 properly. My father said that Schneider would tell him things like "well, your numbers are very high and if I didn't know you (your fluctuating numbers?) I'd admit you to the hospital." Not till about two months later I learned just how uneducated my dad really was about his diabetes. My father had an accident and was admitted to the hospital where they held him for a week in ICU pretty much due to his crazy high numbers. My father, thank God, suffered no kidney damage. I have switched doctors to his associate Dr. Colon and we now receive much better care. If you aren't there to impress on your patients the severe effects of not caring for themselves, what are you there for? I now assist my father with his medical care and I have serious concerns about a general practitioner's office that seems so blase about COVID procedures for at risk patients.

Dr. David Schneider is very friendly and has an outstanding caring manner. He is one of the best Family physicians in the San Marcos area. He is very thorough in his work and does an excellent job of reiterating at end of visit so there's no confusion. I would definitely recommend him as your Primary care physician. He is excellent in patient care.

I actually love Dr schneider as a doctor. He helped me tremendously and explains things in a way it is easy to understand. The one star is for his office staff...i would give less if i could. I took off work to go to dr for an 8:45 am appt. I get there to check in and they tell me they called and talked to me yesterday saying they cancelled my appt. I was never called. Instead of trying to figure out what happened the girl at the window just said i have other things to do and ignored the situation. Also i was supposed to see someone they referred me too and was told that the office staff was supposed to get in touch with me and provide the info...they never did....the staff used tp be great but then they changed it up and the new girl at the window is absolutely horrible....very rude and unproffessional. Its unfortunate that i will now be seeking a new provider because i do like dr schneider, i just dont have the time to show up for appt. Just for them to lie and say that they called amd spoke with me and that i agreed to cancel. So now i am stuck with a day out of work....that i needed a dr note for and now without a primary dr. So thankful to find Dr. Schneider. He is very thorough, very caring with much kindness. I appreciate his staff also. They have always been very courteous to me.

Dr.Schneider is amazing! Hands down the best doctor I have ever been to! He explains things to you about the medical procedures and the medicine he is administering to you in a way you can understand it but, he doesn't ramble on and actually listens to what you have to say. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who doesn't like the doctors office or feels "silly" about their issue like I did for a long time. Dr Schneider is very rude and unprofessional, he doesn't even take the time to listen to his patients. He called my mother fat and his office staff is deplorable. I wouldn't take my dog there. Please go back to medical school, you're an embarrassment to all doctors.

The office staff it rude. The DR has limited knowledge and makes changes in medication that he has no business changing. He seem to have little knowledge about even simple medical issues such as knowing the difference between the flu and a cold.

I was referred to Dr. Schneider by my insurance company. I thought this was a family practice. It is not. Dr. Schneider told me on my first visit that he is a satellite clinic of Baptist system and is primarily a follow up internal medicine doctor for patients discharged from the Hospital in New Braunfels. Instead of helping me with the normal health issues that a family doctor would he said he would refer me out to a gynecologist, and endocronologist and an allergist. I never received a call back for any of the referrals. I would not recommend this practice to anyone for anything. Dr. Schneider didn't even to a basic check of me such as looking at my throat, ears etc. The state of healthcare in this country is a travesty. Our experience has been very positive. We have found Dr. Schnieder to be very thorough when diagnosing our problems.

I just love him. He has taken very good care of me. He listens to my problem and takes care of it. He takes time with you and he cares. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr. Schneider takes the time to connect with patients on a personal level. He also offers alternatives, not just cookie-cutter solutions with no options. I found him to be caring and knowledgeable.

As always, Dr Schneider and the staff were courteous and professional. Dr Schneider answered all my questions and diagnosed my ailment and prescribed a remedy to aggressive treat my ailment, which is what you want from a doctor. Erica and Susanna, especially, were helpful and considerate.

Dr Schneider & his staff are wonderful! I have been seeing Dr Schneider for quite some time, and have never considered seeking another primary care provider. When I need an appointment, I never have trouble getting in right away. I feel fully confident in the care he provides. I highly recommend Dr Schneider!

He is very empathic and takes a lot of time to talk to you and explain things in plain language. He does not hesitate to refer you to a specialist if needed and he really cares about you. Doc Schneider is one of the best doctors I've seen. He's knowledgable, professional, thorough, caring and personable. Going to see him is like visiting an expert friend about a problem. The staff is also excellent, friendly and very accomodating. I'll continue to see Dr. Schneider knowing I've got a really great medical professional on my side !

Very quick-got right in and out for the appointment. Doc Schneider was right on target w/ diagnosis and helped me get the correct specialist for proper treatment. I highly recommend this guy!

Dr. Schneider himself is okay. I felt rushed through both of my appointments with him but that's fine at this points because I will not be returning to his office. The office person named Erica is condescending, rude, and utterly unhelpful. I will be changing my primary care physician due to her complete lack of concern for the patients and her apparent attitude problem.

I didn't really see Dr. Schneider but did see is nurse. Was on time and in and out quickly.

I find Dr. Schneider very informative and easy to talk with about any issue. He is timely and follows up with his staff on my medical needs from prescriptions to lab tests. He also understands the high cost of medical care and does his best to assist with advice on prescriptions, etc.
